damn. my accounting prof sent out an email to everyone saying that he couldn't bump up grades because the grading scale is very specific. i'm .5 points away from an A- in the class, and figured there wouldn't be a way to get that bumped up. the problem is that, along with 3 other students, i gave a presentation in class where we "taught" a chapter. i asked if there would be any additional points alloted to the 4 of us for this. this is the prof's response:

That's a fair question you have. If I award the 4 of you the extra credit, why should the rest of the class be left behind. They too participated in class and listened to your skit. Would the skit matter at all if the class was empty and no one showed up. Think about it.

i don't think that's a very good response, cause it doesn;t make much sense. if only 1 person showed up on a quiz day, would they not be allowed to take the quiz and then not be eligible to get those points? i'm not gonna argue the point because it's pretty open-and-shut

I have a list of pucks I'd like too, I'm tempted (almost) to pick through that puck collectors site and find pucks that match up with the Gelinas jerseys I have.. a 2000-2001 Canes puck, a horse head Flames puck from 02-03, and the toughie, a 1990 Oilers game puck..

then I could get pucks from every Gelinas team era.. skate-canucks, 1997 all star puck used in Vancouver reg season games, old hurricane pucks, like the first ones and the 2000 puck, the oilers pucks :) I have a good set of pucks just from this year, western conf puck, all 7 finals pucks, all the matchup pucks.. oh man, what was a whole year ago now :(
