it's not so much the building. it's more like the tenants were bad. the building i'm in now had a lot of crackheads and druggies and fat lazy pigs, so they're rooms are pretty bad. some rooms like fine once all the previous tenant's crap is outta there, but some are just rotten! and the new owner (my boss) wanted to redo all the rooms anyways to make it look more uniform

so work actually started with a nice surprise today. i was waiting at the building we've been working at and my boss called my cell. he told me to get back to the office so that i could grab some keys and head out to mow the lawns at most of the properties! i was totally stoked, cause that meant i got to be outside and didn't have to worry about anything at the other building. the mowing took up 4 hours, so i had only about 3 and a half hours of work left after lunch. bad part about being done with the lawns was that i had to lay chicken wire in a kitchen that i had just taken up the tile from, and i sliced my right middle finger. luckily, there was a sink that still worked in the kitchen and the running water really helped calm the bleeding down

With a cable connection in your room, you should be able to.. does your main computer have a router or just a direct connection from the wall into the modem and into the main computer?

my computer is hooked up straight to our wireless router. i know i could just easliy go pick up another wireless card and i;d be set. but i don't want to do that cause i don't really know how many more summers i'll be here at the house. i'll probably try to move out either next summer or after i graduate

even tho it's a wireless router, you could run an ethernet cable from it to your room, just like the tv cable

that would be one long @$$ cable! the router is just about at the other side of the house. my parent's would never let me run that long of a wire through most of the house. they don't actually know about the cable splitter yet because the room with the cable is used pretty much by me and guests

well, if you want, you either need a wireless card for the PC, or a converter to change the cable signal to pc
