US markets, ESPECIALLY southern states, are a tough market to crack, nearly every area has a football team, basketball team and a baseball team, not to mention the HUGE popularity of the many university teams..

If fans came from hours away to line up for Stars tickets to sell the stadium out as much as the Avalanche are sold out, I could see a Houston team..

or worse, get buyers remorse for paying too much... Two things I'm trying to remember.. A) it's a true 1/1 jersey and B) it's going to charity, which is good for two reasons.. people benefit from my money, and it's tax deductible.. it could be more than my church AND United Way donations combined, very nice.

On a related note, I emailed the next highest bidder (before the end of the auction) asking if he had other Gelinas items, etc etc, and he actually emailed back, Gelinas has been to this guys house, and when he did, he saw that the guy had 5 of his jerseys, but no Canucks jersey, and the next time over (when the Panthers went to Carolina to play) he brought the guy a Canucks jersey!!!! :eek: This guy has 3 Flames jerseys, I would flip my lid if he wanted to trade or sell.. I bet he's got one of each color, so not likely to try and move any.. Still cool to find another Geli collector.. Maybe he's the guy that pre-ordered Geli's blue home jersey.. now I have one and don't need another yet, since it doesn't appear likely he's going to repeat his last playoffs...

Watching the game on Sportsnet tonight. Could have had free tickets to the Sharks game Wed. but it would've been too rushed getting to the Dome. I'll get some freebies from my supplier in S'more yet. We've been knocked down to four 10 hr. days a week starting Mon., so I will be able to go to a game on a weekend. The 40 hr. week is from Mon.-Thu., and it's all straight time... no OT.:( But the good news is we'll be on site longer than we thought.:)And the bad news is Mctoys won't be getting NHL 10 until the week of Dec.5th.:(
