I went to Uptown last Friday and was BS'ing with Gary's buddy that ownes the place. I think I'm gonna take my Flames jersey down and get it numbered and lettered forIginla, hopefully get the 04 SC Patch too. Obviously all you guys must like the job they did cause I haven't heard any complaints. He told me about 60 bucks too which is cheap.

Hey! You bastages are trying to suck me back into toy collecting! I used to collect everything! MOTU, SLU, Marvel Legends, DBZ, Movie Maniacs, Transformers, Gundam, GI Joe, Spawn, Metal Gear, LOTR, etc, etc, etc, etc...pretty much everything but Star Wars.

It was a sick obsession. I remember the first time my spouse came over to my condo I was all crapping my pants trying to figure out how to explain the 150 He-Man figs, Eternia, Snake Mountain, Castle Grayskull and all the vehicles in my bedroom......mmmmmmm romantic!:D

Eventually I had to narrow the collecting down to one thing and I picked NHL SPs. Seriously, back then it was beer, smokes, and toys and THEN eat and pay bills. Dark times......Dark times......:spawnskul

Damn that sucks. I bought my computer from them cause a guy from work said he gets all his computer parts from there. It was the first place I checked and I got a good system for a good price. Just didn't know they'd **** me on my warranty. Well at least everyone that visits this threads will now know this and I'm glad for that.

NBA games are ...... interesting. When I met up with Bernie this afternoon, I was telling him about how I used to be a Grizzlies fan during the old glory days in Vancouver. I even got to go to a couple of games. The seats were cheaper than Canuck seats. Also, even though I'm not a basketball fan, I've got to admit that NBA games are more concerned with all-out entertainment than NHL games. There were contests and giveaways at EVERY SINGLE play stoppage. Pretty neat.

Gratzi: Yikes, that blows tards. Likewise, had I known, would have forewarned you about CDC. I deal exclusively with Computer Boulevard. But like any computer, warranty is always an issue. Dont really get why people always cheap out on getting extra coverage on a computer. It's pretty much the one thing you should get extra coverage on. Especially since you're looking at $60-80 just for a diagnosis of a problem after your base warranty is up. Not to mention the cost of parts and cost of labour to fix it.

The cheap sections were in the second deck in the corners. First few rows were about $30/seat. Very high up in the corners, they were $20ish/seat. Once I bit the bullet and took my wife to a game. 11th row seats near center court. I can't remember the exact price, but something $60ish/seat rings a bell. I'd never do that again. I wish I'd saved my ticket stubs. Of course, I thought I'd always have opportunities to go to another Grizzlies game.

I found those cheap seats cheaper than Canuck tickets. At the time, the cheapest ones were in the mid $30s. Of course, that was when the Canucks had Bure, Messier, and Mogilny -- which would explain a lot.

If you got to go to the Dome, you had it made! I assume you went during the time of Kemp and Payton? Those were great times. I really liked the Sonics back then.

My brother told me I should contact the better business bureau or noe of those news places that checks into rip offs. But it's probly not worth my time, they blamed me for the problem with my comp so it's not like I have direct proof that it's their fault. Hey Gratzi we used to deal with cdc for our work computer. they once charged us like 400 bucks to look at a laptop and said nothing was wrong with it. when I took it somewhere else they found the problem right away......the little watch battery was dead!!! Fo rmy personal computer I deal strictly with ACME computer on Portage they have been amazing. I couldn't ask for better service or pricing or technicians. They are asoulutly amazing. I recommened everyone to go there. they built me both my computers and they kick ***.CDC wanted to charge me 600 bucks fr 256 mb with a crappy processor and no windows. ACME sold me a top of th eline proccessor 512mb and windowsxp loaded for 650. SO yea I'm a huge ACME fan. I managed to get my work to stop dealing with cdc nowe aswell and they are dealing with ACME.

I think Prof X and Nightcrawler are one per case. Bullseye is two though, so you can have it if you like.

I ordered my cases from actionfigureexpress.com though as I said earlier, the shipping directly to Canada is ******ed. There's probably other places that end up cheaper (bigbadtoystore.com?) but I really didn't check too much. I only have series nine ordered by case, but will probably do the same with series 10 (sentinel series) as well. AFX is $94 USD preorder plus the shipping. $12 to US addresses, $40+ to Canada. Like I said, stoopid. I got mine sent to a US buddy who will forward it up here, saving me about $10 or more than getting it directly shipped, plus he'll probably declare a slightly lower value, either avoiding or reducing customs fees.

BBTS has series 10 "in stock" (http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/toystan.asp?Queryid=pr214), meaning you can still pre-order it. They are out of series 9. They charge $79.99 plus the shipping for a complete set. I'm still an idiot for chase figures though, so I like ordering a case to see if I have any luck left at all. BBTS is pretty fair on their shipping but they declare full value and because it's from a retailer, you always get hit with customs fees.

Legends out in Montreal has cases for $134.95 plus shipping, which I think is flat rate around $7 so not a bad deal at all. About $11.25 a figure prior to shipping costs so not far off Superstore retail. You can also order single figures from them. Steve's a pretty good guy and they run a good business. I hadn't checked that out previously but now that I see their price, I'll probably order my case of series 10 from them, it'll end up cheaper than from AFX. I may have to go cancel my case from AFX actually. It's likely to be around $124 US and I'm gambling with customs fees, so after exchange it'll be more. Legends has cases, sets and individuals for sale clicky for Legends (http://www.legendsactionfigures.com/en/products.php?cat=807899603&page=1).

There might be better deals out there than that, but I don't know where and honestly (obviously) haven't looked too hard. I'm glad you asked J, I think you just saved me some money.

CTO, there would be some benefits depending on how complete you need to be. There've been a few box sets that were aggravating after the fact because you ended up needing to buy the box set to get one unique figure (gee, I wonder if that sounds like something Toy Biz does regularly) and ended up with four slightly different versions of figures you already had. But if you really needed to have everything, this line would drive you nuts and you're a long way back. I don't think you have room either.

About 6-8 bucks for 5 cards. Very nice cards and three autos per box! You also get a M&N pennant in each box, plus you could pull a redemption for a full vintage jersey. They have them at Face Off, Superstars etc...

I'm leaning towards cancelling the season, because I'd rather see them spend time trying to improve the on ice product instead of just throwing together 20 games and playoffs. You know what really ticks me off is that if they play 20 games and then the playoffs the damn Leafs will probably win the Cup and Torontonians will be referring to them as the greatest team ever and how they overcame obstacles. Grrr...I hate the Leafs with such a burning passion...

Y'know, the extended lockout in order to make business more viable might actually be a good thing for Canadian teams. From the daily rumblings in Edmonton when we lived there, I think the Oilers might have been the next Canadian team to go.

I don't think might has any part in it. I look at the $40+ mill cap and think they're done. Maybe Calgary too and to a lesser extent Vancouver and Ottawa as well. It's not just a cap they need, revenue sharing has to be in place like the NFL. I'll grant you Green Bay draws a lot of fans and support, but nothing like the market the Giants tap into, yet their revenues outside of ticket sales are identical. Gee, what a neat idea, if one team is healthy, so should another be, ergo the league is healthy and generally competitive.

i spoke to my sister the other day, and she seems to be doing alright considering. it was certainly a shock, but in light of the history involved, not necessarily a big surprise. and peaceful as well.

lol maybe the good thing is my bday got overshadowed, and i had less time to reflect on how damn old i am

enough nhl bs - so sick of all the panelists, who're probably getting paid overtime to dissect to death a situation that nobody seems to know squilch about . blah blah blah

on to brighter things, i'll be getting right into March madness this year - can't wait to start getting the lodown on all the contenders. NCAA is pure sport. most of these guys know there's no chance of NBA for them - it's all for the Glory. and single - elimination keeps you on the edge of your seat (and sometimes to your feet or to your knees)
