I was in the States last weekend and one of the sports stores had WJC jerseys on for 39.99 US. Not too bad after exchange. They were sold out of Canada in my size, but I almost bought a Russian one just cause they looked cool.

I haven't ordered yet. I'm not sure if I am going to because I don't really want a Spreewell.
I was thinking of ordering 2 'Melos. It's going to work out to about $45 cdn for two figs even if 4 are ordered. I don't think I want them bad enough to pay that price.

TRU Polo park has about 5 more Darth Vader Unleashed. $24.99 Picked mine up tonight. Of course still droves of WIndu and Dooku, will pick those ones up later. They also have the Stormtrooper, IG88 and some chick at Outer Perimeter but they are $28.99 each. Ouch. I want a Stormtrooper but not paying that much for one.

So I finally took the plunge into online poker gambling. Not bad for my first time in. Deposited $25USD min into the account. They pay me 40% of my deposit as a freebee into my bankroll. So I'm lighting it up in the first half of the game. Dealing me gold. Knocked a guy out in the second hand with an all in. But finally made it to the final 2 but lost the last hand barely. Oh well, it was fun. and I won 30% of the pot so I came out ahead at least. $4 USD to be exact. This is going to get addicting. Gunna see how much I can take this $25USD to.

If any of you watch survivour, I'm doing my regular pool. It's pretty fun all things considered. We just started the pool. $10 to get in. You get 3 random players chosen to you. You have until the next airing to let me know your own 4th pick for your team since the first episode has aired and you've gotten a chance to see the players in the element.

Yeah but here's the thing, the teams that are in trouble may operate better under this system. If that's the case, there would be no need to relocate a team. If some do fold, it doesn't necessarily mean anything will come here. They'd be better off with less teams.

NHL 11 makes me happy!

Hemsky, Kipper, and Khabby look good, Jovo looks okay, (Needs a goatee) and Niewey and Ryder look bad. Niewey's face is the worst likeness ever! Worse than Vinny!

Thanks. I did a little search on the XBox's drives, and it said that earlier XBoxes were using faulty Thompson drives. That might explain why my box is starting to not read certain games, even though the surface isn't scratched or dirty. It looks like I can use any DVD drive.

I saw nothin wrong with what Naslund said today. I agree with what he stated 100%. He never stated what Bertuzzi did was ok. He said it wasn't, but what Moore is doing has merits to be criticized. Here's the bottom line, I see credible players of the game speak on this and none of them has come straight out to say that the whole thing was appalling or get behind Moore. In fact they're pretty much all behind Bertuzzi. They understand what happens on the ice. it's quite obvious Moore doesn't. I want Bertuzzi back on the ice when there's hockey again. Perhaps if the NHL folds, it will nullify his suspension.

I totally agree. Complete cash grab. Bertuzzi paid a fair price criminally, as well as financially throught the NHL. Moore, as I stated in a couple related threads, should have sufficient insurance to cover above and beyond lost salary, and future monies. JMO.

He'll spend many, many hours doing community service work. Monetary fines won't affect him, and jail time would never be spent by any other Canadian city if they had no prior record, which I believe is the case with Bert. Trust me every Canadian is WAY too lucky at doing various criminal activities with ZERO penalty. I actually have first hand knowledge going to court on a regular basis in an attempt to see jail time handed out. Biggest waste of money ever spent by MPI, when you look at the demographic and realize who exactly is stealing cars there is no price to pay. No remorse, no money to repay, and no concern if & when they drive without a licence.:)

Those are good points. I agree, it was a fluke fall that probably resulted in the broken neck, but it was a cheapshot nonetheless (not saying you called it anything else.). As far as community service, I was unaware he was sentenced to any. But yeah, our justice system lacks for a good part. I particularly get a chuckle out of the MPI add regarding auto theft. They need to add a disclaimer regarding underage offenders will not be affected by our laws.

The problem I have with the Moore thing is that he's ueing everyone in sight. I don't agree with what Bertuzzi did, I also don't agree with him sueing Bertuzzi but how can you agrue his right to sue Todd. But I don't agree with him sueing Brad May, Marc Crawford, Brian Burke and the Canucks organization. In doing those other people it just shows me he only cares about raking in as much money as he can, thus me agreeing with what Naslund said. Go sue Bertuzzi only since he's the one that did this, you can't tel me 5 people sat in a dressing room and said "Yeah go gurt that kid" It's a joke.

The problem with suing one person is it makes it easy on the defense team to focus. By naming a number of people, they can't have try the gloves on OJ/Bertuzzi happen again, the focus is spread out. He's more likely to get a settlement out of it if the judge looks at it and says well, the other guys/conspiracy theory is a farce, but yeah, Bertuzzi whaled on ya, here's a couple mil. Hedging his bets is all it is and I wouldn't take that out on Moore, he's operating on the basis of advice from a US legal team that specializes in personal litigation. It's another symptom of the US justice system, not at all removed from spilling hot coffee in your lap.

He paid by losing out a huge chunk of his salary. Now if they used that withheld income towards Mooroe to shut him up. I would think that would be fair.Bertuzzi may be to blame for what happened to Moore, but it can be argued that other people also factored into it such as May, the Coaches etc etc. That should come out of the league. Moore should receive compensation if and only if he is physically unable to play another NHL/Professional level game in his life. Not that anyone would be willing to sign him cuz chances are, his presence would lower team morale to say the least.

Look, I'm stuck on a single point here: in life you are responsible for your actions. If you beat the snot out of a guy and he dies, you don't face murder charges, but you do get charged with manslaughter. Bertuzzi is deserving of what he gets. I have no doubt whatsoever that he didn't intend, imagine in his wildest dreams or even want Moore's neck to get broken. I think he's a goon and he's proven that in the past (ask Minnesota fans what they think of him) but I don't think he wanted to inflict any permanent damage beyond a good hard check and maybe some teeth and stitches. But he gooned him, from behind and drove him to the ice. He did it. He has to pay for it. If he doesn't in something as public as hockey, then I think that's the same as not punishing the guy with the Club or the guy with the pool ball in the sock. Now in fairness to Bertuzzi, both those guys got off, for all intents and purposes, so maybe he should too, but I think that sends a pretty poor message.

I will agree with you that the league should have been named if there's any validity to naming others aside from Bertuzzi. As far as the coaching staff, well, I don't think Bert's come out and said they told him not to, so it's probably as petty as guilt by implicitly condoning the retaliation. It's the US system here guys, that's why suit was filed in Colorado.

so, is the general consensus that moore should sue the NHL and not those people specifically? i'm not sure how that works per se. i don't know why the NHL would be responsible for Bertuzzi being on the ice... short of a phone call threatening the teams against any thuggery - but would they have had enough to think it was going to happen?

I for one am pumped about NHL 11, I guess all my views lately are against the Peg majority :confused: I really like the Kipper likeness - and don't mind the pose. Khabby is a must have, I like Jovo, and I'll pick up the young guys as well. I'm a bit disappointed in the likeness of Nieuwendyk, though there could be another Flames Retro in the mix...

I'm with you too, freezer! I like the Khabby and Kipper poses, and Hemsky is one of my favorite players. While the Chelios pose is not my first choide it does display very well in the package because the player faces forward. Ryder may be a clearance one for me unless the chase is Vintage White Habs. I like Khabby and Kipper, but only need the Khabby and only need the chase if it's white. I like both poses and it seems the Khabby is more like the Nabokov than the Khabby Lightning was (based on pics, but I bet that's a prototype with the wrong leg). I love the Richter/Turco/Kipper pose, it's such a neat pose overall but still won't get it. Like the dark jersey being the regular too.

The rest don't matter to me at all.

Probably the most aggravating aspect of this line is re-releasing better looking versions down the line. I just sprung for a crappy lizard and prefer the new ultimate rhino and now they release better versions. Worse, you have to go after the box to get the darn vulture figure. I'll be selling a loose lot of annoying marvel/spiderman legends some time down the road I guess.

i like minimates, and i'm waiting for more of the JLA animated looking stuff... in a 6" form (not like the big 10" ones i have of flash and batman). and the busts and all that are cool... but the marvel legends are too realistic for me i guess, i duno, one too many points of articulation.

i do however - have a softspot for the palisades muppets line... i have the swedish chef kitchen. in retrospect, i'd prefer kitchen catastrophe swedish chef, with lobster banditos. but what can yah do. patrol bear fozzy is pretty slick. and the swedish chef has a tennis racket.

Sounds like a plan dude. For the first time in a few years I'm really pumped for baseball. Usually I don't right into it, just follow what's going on by watching Sportsdesk, until summer. But with no other sports to watch, baseball will be my hero.

i may follow the jays more in depth this year (i usually pick a month and watch lots... then i check to see how long it takes them to fall out of the playoff race)... i dunno gives me something to do. and i think it'd be fun to watch a few games with my buddy that is a fan.

anyway, i really gotta study for my exam on friday. this place is just hopping tonight. too bad i can't stick around. i'll be back in an hour i'm sure :D

Sac has officially taken themselves out of contention in the west and Philly has vaulted themselves into the top 4 teams in the east (granted it is the east). That being said, I don't think CWebb will have the same effect as Rasheed last year. I still think it'll be Detroit or Indy coming out of the east, especially now that Shaq is a gimp. The trade also probably kills the Dalembert to the Raps deal...

I guess Peja for Odom isn't gonna happen anymore. The other one I heard last week was Boozer to LA for Butler, George, and Divac (with Divac being waived and resigning with the Lakers) but I think that one is officially dead as well. How about Baron to Golden State for Dale Davis and assorted spare parts?

i just had the greatest dream...

aside from the one where my friend set my house on fire (which was a lesson in "sure it might look fun - but there might be consequences to playing with electricity...) but that's not the one.

i was at some hockey tournament... international or something - it went back and forth from a game where gretzky threw a clipboard at someone, there was a brawl on one teams bench, and the patrick roy was sitting by himself on the other bench - and then it was a flames goalie, kipper or someone i think, and i got to out on the ice and take pictures of him (again goalies changing in typical psycho dream fashion)... and whenever i'd try to adjust the picture another goalie came in, like brodeur or cujo, til there were like three goalies... and then players started showing up...

anyway then i got to play boot hockey with all of them - federov and jagr i remember for sure, and then various others, mark messier and lemieux (and in my dream apparently messier used to beat the hell out of lemeiux because he hated him heh.)

but i got to kick the puck around with them and take amazing pictures on the ice... and then they all gave me game pucks, and an international puck each (kinda like from the world juniors)... i had like 40 pucks...

it was craaaaazy.

almost worth being later for school for. and on that note. heh, better get ready.

i got my $10 datsyuk... i found it in a return cart (i hope it was a return cart..) it didn't look like it was going to make it to $5.

i hope yao falls a bit. i really like that figure.

the toy lady at walmart saw me for the first time since NHL 9, and she's like "oh no... don't tell me were getting more" lol i said not til the end of march or april i think for the legends...

of course i forgot about NBA but that's not a huge deal.

i can't wait for the team canada special THAT will be something people are banging down the doors for.

oh, and the goalie three pack comes out soon... i'm going to hang on to my receipt for that one, just in case it makes it to clearance (which i think it might).

i guess i just wish info would be where it belongs. hockey figs should be listed under 'hockey' as soon as they're announced. similarly, warehouse find sales could actually be listed under warehouse finds (ordered my nfl 'mystery box' from a link under 'football' - when it was Specifically announced as a 'warehouse find'. aggravating to have to waste time looking for info that oughtta be there

just got home a short while ago

and a parcel from arizona - mcfarlane toys to be exact

BIG complaint about their quality control on packing - i know they have lots of boxes to pack, and 9 of the 10 figures arrived fine, but i could tell from looking at the outside of the box isn't wasn't well packed.

anyways - have a 'less-than near-mint' delgado reg which i will trade, and with the total price (including gst/pst) i can't really sell less than retail. if someone is interested, please let me know soon....
