I dunno I am crazy like that, who knows.. I buy and sell all the time, I wish I wasn't like that, and try to keep most of my things. I think I will keep the PSP though, looks too cool to sell. I also am getting Ridge Racer for it, my fav. racing series.. Here are some examples of how nuts I am..

Bought 2 IPODS (20 GB), bought and sold both of them, wanted one and thought I didn't need it. Wanted another one again, but then realized how expensive it was, so I returned it within 30 days.

Bought IPOD Mini because I thought they were so cool, then sold it after a few weeks needing money...

Been through 2 modded XBOX's... First one I got sick ofm then Halo 2 came out, so I bought another one, then realized I didn't play it that much, so I sold it a few weeks ago.. and used the cash to buy the Sony PSP

Been through 2 car stereo systems, last year I bought stuff, then figured it was a waste, so I sold everything. Then just recently missed good sound in my car, so I bought subs and amp again...

Yaa you could say I am pretty crazy.. I guess I need help CrashZ, maybe you can help me..

Next unleashed are Grievous, Anakin and Obi. Anakin and Obi are dueling, they're bases supposedly fit together.

That's presuming TRU doesn't stock the IG-88, Aurra Sing, Stormtrooper in the interim. I doubt it, given it's only a couple of weeks until the release date for Episode III toys.

Regarding Salo and that other guy:

remember the series when the Oilers were up 2 games to 1 on those evil stars ( I know I do). It was a series in which the Oilers actually matched up well with them and could've won.

Anyway back to the point. Apparently, the feud had escalated when word of Comrie's affair with Salo's wife reached the dressing room at this point. As you may or may not know, Tommy's wife apparently left him and moved back to Sweden. Obviously, the incident divided the team up with the likes of Salo, Smyth, and Smith,etc. on one side and the likes of Mofo #89, and Marchant, etc. on the other. Oh yeah, it is believed Jason Smith kicked the crap out of Comrie for doing so. Tommy never recovered and his play has clearly shown that (tough to focus with all that going on). This led to the Oilers once again losing to the Stars (the first 3 games and the last 3 were two different images of the Oil). Marchant was not resigned, and we all know how the Comrie situation turned out...

that's the extent of the story anyway. take it for what it's worth.

Although, it was said that Salo had his own set of problems, especially with the bottle. Alcoholism is a very serious case and it has serious repurcussions like not being able to stop a slapshot outside of the blue line heading towards your head or worse, the majority of shots on your glove-side during a first round playoff series.

i heard something similar about the salo thing... it's pretty much true - when we were in edmonton last spring break (*sniff* it seems like just yesterday), my friend's grandma is friends with a lady involved in the oiler stuff. or something (sounds lame - but the connection was rather believable). and she said that comrie was creeping with salo's wife.

that's a bummer to hear about marchent tho. i really liked him. i don't know how you stick up for a guy that sleeps (or whatever it is) with someone else's wife.

but marchent and comrie are coming on the tour - i wonder why smyth would want anything to do with 'em?

anyways - i'm nearing up on my one year anniversary of going to edmonton - man, those were three great hockey games. it's one trip i'm VERY glad i made. we hoped the nhl wouldn't be locked out, but i'm glad i got my chance to see them play when i did.

Legends 2 looks pretty cool (just checking out the pictures on mctoys again) - i might add Espo and Beliveau to my lineup (with the white kings gretz, and white fuhr)... hopefully i can keep the color coordination.

PSP is pretty much PS2 graphics in hand held form. It plays its own type of media (UMD media, smaller then Gamecube CD's). The handheld also plays MP3 and movies. It accepts Sony's Memory Duo Cards and you can load pretty much any type of media off them on the PSP. The PSP looks sexy as hell, and the screen has a shiny wide surface. Comes out March 24th, and there expected to sell almost 1.5 million in North America on launch day. Luckily, I reserved mine Feb. 17 at EBGAMES and I am #5 on the list, so I will for sure get one. The pre order list is now over 70 people at this location..

liden is going for a pretty penny on ebay lately... figured i'd sell while the selling is good (i don't much care for the fig anyway). it could cover 4-6 figs that i want this summer..

anyhoo - spent some more time playing NHL 2005 with my buddy tonight. learnt a few things ...
one key is to poke check and hook (typical clutch hockey eh? :rolleyes: ), avoid knocking the defender off the puck when you can poke check, your player is taken out of the play for longer, and normally can't get the loose puck anyway.

you have to play smart defence (again - don't use the body if your the last man back) too - the computer doesn't burn you as often...

went lost like 3 games and then won 3 (came back from 3 goals down against detroit to win in overtime). traded to mediocre players for patrice bergeron and the "worst player on boston" (some orr guy - which is amusing), and traded artus irbe (a salary dump) for andy delmore... berger and delmore are both on for 3 years each - less then a mil... which helps me pay for Nash :D

of course now i'm going to lose again since i can't work a two man system.. oh well.

Yeah, I know. Why did they ever make them extra long? I have them in their original wrapper, sitting on top of my old 79-80-81 cards.

Tim: thanks for the info. For me, it's more the idea of going back to my old cards and finding players who've emerged to be superstars in their first year (there's only one season on that card). For every one card like my Penguins Naslund, I have a card of a guy who was touted to be the next big thing with a special set card but never really went anywhere. Case in point from that same set - Pat Peake from the Caps.

vic - i love doing that! after each playoffs i go routing through my old hockey cards to see if i got a diamond in the rough kinda deal... or a card i never realized i had. patrik elias was the a double diamond rookie i didn't know i had.. and i've found a few others.

the thing that makes me laugh the most is that a tanguay rookie is worth more then a sakic rookie!! how backwards is that.

zoomer - after going through the rest of the tracks... Emotion is the only one i really liked. i was horribly disappointed and i felt a piece of my heart get destroyed...

had more thoughts of stream lining my collection today... :eek: too bad i can't get crap for most of these figs.

i'm running through ebay looking at some of these prices... yeesh you'd be better off to wait 3 months after the figs come out - and pick up a set online for cheaper then retail... if the shipping charges aren't too horrible. quite a few nice goalie lots up right now - 10 goalies + for like $70...

First off, Happy Birthday Espin! May you find your Hemsky chase and Red Sox figures!!!

Cooperstown2 and NBA8 has arrived at Polo Walmart.
Picked clean when I got there at 6:00pm today. Tons of Shaq's, Melo's, Starbury's, Kidd's and AI's, one Marion, one Maggette, and one Odom. The friendly toy lady let me climb the
ladder (not all of us are tall), and I managed to find one white Maggette in the stock pile.

As for Cooperstown2, Mike Schmidt, Mays, and the Catfish are not very popular in Winnipeg, tons of these guys. a couple of Ripken's, Stargells and George Herman's still around. No chases, and the packaging seems a little bit thinner. A lot of the packages had major dents and bends; good for the openers.

ShakesO: question about the baseball? I'm assuming I rank the top 25 players I want on my team and not my top 2 or 3 at each position in order?

I mean you CAN rank by position but I've never tried it and I don't think it would work that good. I just rank in order of who I want most and go from there. Then again I've only done hockey pools but it should be the same.

It's a good pickup for the eskies, as he's somewhat of an upgrade from Bart Hendricks as far as experience goes. Why can't they take Wad Miller as well?
I love how Tee Martin is being placed on the highest of QB pedestals, when he hasn't even played a single CFL game yet. Oh well, time will tell.

Since we're throwing out CFL predictions.
West:
B.C. (still the class of the west)
Saskatchewan (a good Oline, and a solid defence. crandell and nealon though, hmm?)
Winnipeg (how far can charlie take us?)
Edmonton (an aging team, playoff streak almost ends but thanks to the crossover)
Calgary (burris will get flustered playing behind a weaker oline and no running game)

East:
Toronto (one of the best defences in the league)
Montreal ( will go as far as AC takes them)
Hamilton (3rd because of Ottawa)
Ottawa (4th because they're Ottawa)

Anyone else care to guess?

Jeeze guys, i hate to say it but i think winnipeg is going to be a better team than the eskies this year. I've seen Jones play live twice, both in winnipeg, and he sucked both time especially last year. Maas isn't much better, i said at the start of last year edmonton would suck behind maas and that they would be worse unless they got a decent quarterback. I had to vent to someone who would understand and figured you'd be the guys that would. O ya, i'll gladly eat crow if Khari can surprise me.

To me the Bombers are still one huge questionmark. Glenn IMO still has to prove himself. He has not done anything I would deem spectacular. Tee Martin...well no one's seen him in action so if actions speak louder than words, it's dead silence right now. I still think we have a pretty good receiving core and a pretty good defence. I'm still worried about our offence

Personally I prefer the NFL, but I still like the CFL game. If anyone is complaining about a lack of offense in the NFL you probably didn't watch too many games this year since they cracked down on bump and run coverage and contact after 5 yards -- and you for sure didn't watch any games involving Indy, Minny, Philly, San Diego, or Atlanta...

Off to the The Game concert I go (yes that is grammatically correct)...

man... i'm doing more editing on my big project here at school. things are better now - i'm not on the verge of a breakdown (i'll thank spring break, and the additional sunlight for that)... but man, these guys are still writing the craziest things.

it's kinda interesting to think that we are graduating in 2 months, and they still think it's ok to make claims about a product/business (or anything for that matter) without proving it! we've learnt that in sooo many of our classes.

at any rate - at least they give me lots of work to do, so i can justify a higher grade at the end of it - it's easy to say "guys you really need to go over this again with proof" when the first drafts aren't very good at all... i'm learning lots, but i think maybe 2 other people in the group are interested in learning something from the project (whereas the others just want to get it out of the way). makes me feel dumb when i say "you need to do it this way because _______"... what's the point in teachin' 'em something they didn't want to learn the first time. oh well.

at least i won't have so much editing to do this weekend. they won't be able to fix the material fast enough to get it back to me :D

Whew, It's official I am addicted to having the Internet at my fingertips. It's been 2 wexcruciatingly long days since I've had Internet access at home. After numerous calls to MTS to try to figure out the problem, which started late monday night, They thought it was the modem, (which it wasn't but I got a new one anyway) and then proceeded to tell me it was my router, (which I knew wasn't since I connected to the modem directly and it still didn't work). So after all that, they accused my phone line of being too long. To which I replied (verbatim), "Dude, I've had DSL since MTS started DSL service. I've never had a problem with it before. In fact, once of your technicians came out no more than 6 months ago to install a new modem and he had nothing to say about the line being at an innappropriate length. Just get them to check the damn line."
So finally I get them to look at the line and lo and behold it was a line problem. Their problem on THEIR end. Shie-za.

Anyway. I so need to get rid of some more figures. If you or anyone you know is looking for:

well i don't actually want Linden, so i'm selling while the selling is good. i'm going to reinvest the money into future SPs (mainly the legends lineup).

i wonder what i should do with my tax money... i think i'm just going to forget to file until sometime in the summer, and that way i don't have to worry about wasting the money before i get it.

turco - the auction link says he got it from a winnipeg arena auction... i think jw is wondering when this auction happened (or if it happened).

in other news - future shop has a pretty good dvd sale going on... lots of 2 for $15, i got wayne's world 1&2 for my g/f, talented mr. ripley, zoolander, election, and varsity blues...

also a whooole whack of pretty decent ones for $9 each. anyone with some free time might be able to stock up the DVD collection a little bit.

i'm going for quality... i think i'm close a hundred now. i usually join columbia house, and then buy the cheapest required purchases i can get, and then sign myself up as a "friend", get my two free movies, cancel the original account, and then buy the minimum for the other, sign myself up again as a friend, and repeat.

if you're smart about it, the movies end up costing you like $10 each.

...granted i say "quality" and own a variety that includes, scarface, pulp fiction, josie and the *****cats, and dude where's my car. but damned if they aren't cult hits to me.
