The new net shapes and sizes are ridiculous. I can imagine a guy of my stature playing goal and taking far more shots to the head with a net that size and shape.

The NHL governors should fix it if it's broke, but the game is more broke in the $$$ contracts than in the nets.

there was a great note from Auld in the FP today about those new nets, talking about how you'd have to learn how to position yourself all over again, and that it would have to be the same way all the way up from peewee, or at least, college, ahl, and NHL - because you can jump around in a season.

i wouldn't be able to watch hockey with a round net. that's friggin ridiculous. just trim the padding down a bit (i really don't think the gloves need to be THAT big), and call the rules. it's not really that complicated.

Street hockey stuff is so expensive now. Two of my buddies just got the CCM stuff from Canadian tire. Cost them close to 150$ or 200$

I know what you mean turco, i bought the ccm stuff too. 34" pads are great, considering i am 6' and used 24" before:D I also picked up the blocker and trapper and new helmet and throat guard as well as a cup and jersey and some track pants to wear under the pads to keep them from pinching and sliding. All together is spent close to $350 or more. I am all matching colour wise, as i customize my helmet and throat guard. Everyone calls me Garth Snow because i am so much bigger than everyone else, but its because i am also bigger than everyone else:D. You gotta post pics of your pads when you get em, i'll post a pic of my customized helmet and neck guard when my computer starts working again.

Pyro, Tommy Lee strung up in the air playing on floating drum stands in the air, sexy dancers on stage doiong outlandish **** hangin in mid air on a large drape, midgets on motocycles, pyro shots left right and center and midgets and babes breathing fire, and plenty of titty shots in the crowd. One of the best concerts I've been to! My hearing is shot and my throat hates me.
