Astro - i talked to the manager just to kinda see if it was going to be a recurring thing and to find out what the rules were... and he says on special releases they aren't allowed to get them before us. i said "i'm 99% sure that they weren't here yesterday, we were the first people in the door - i don't understand how else they could get to layaway", so the manager said he'd have to look into it. the manager said a couple times "overnights can make regular purchases outside of store hours, but not on special releases" and he seemed to actually care.

but the guy was talking to us in the doors where we wait, and he knew the three cases were going to be there.. so right off the hop it was gonna be tough lol. and some mom snagged a fuhr out from under me because i was too slow and couldn't figure out where all these other people had come from (outside of the normal 3 collectors there) :) oh well... would've been tough to get that espo unless i was the first to the pile anyway.

Im in Brandon, strolled into Walmart with the wife and they were all out there. Must have been half a dozen Gretz chases from both Kings and Oilers, no Beliveau Bossy or Fuhr chase though. They were just on an end cap, maybe they restocked it or something. The locals who make the early morning rush usually cant afford more than 2 or 3 figs at once, so Im not concerned about getting there in a hurry.

Participated in the 8:00 Wally world track meet today.:)

I came in third ahead of a hot wheels guy. Our gold medallist took off running from the jewelry counter (out of sight from the employees) and never looked back. The gentleman who took home the silver didn't start running til the canned goods isle ( I think the new swoops snacks were on sale!). I walked with my usual c'est la vie pace and took my bronze!

Alas no figures yet! the hot wheels guy was right, go figure...I'll have to wait another day for my blue Fuhr!

At least I didn't come in fourth!

I was at Polo Park Wallyworld this morning along with Zoomer, GoOilersGo and Crashz. There were a few more other collectors there and a few guys were walking really quickly. GoOilersGo and I were just strolling along.

Anyways, there were plenty on figures to go around. Figures coming out the Wazoo!!!



Just kidding. There was nothing there today.

Too much competition (and runners/fast walkers) these days. I'm not doing the morning runs anymore. I'll just try my luck at making random anytime of the day/evening runs. The other option is to buy the figures off of Zoomer. LOL

She's probably what I call a manager due to seniority. No talent hack that just worked there long enough to get status. Has about enough management ability to put right foot in front of left foot. Product does you no good sitting sight unseen. The longer it stays back, the longer it takes for you to get rid of it and the smaller profits are generated, which in many cases cuts into any bonuses you may receive or any credibility you have as a manager. The Filipino guy that used to be there at least knew what was going on most of the time. It's a shame he no longer covers that area.

No Legends for over a week, then suddenly they appeared yesterday. I guess he asked to buy and got an entire case, then returned what he didn't want. Unless someone else scored there recently out of a second box. Gotta say it's kind of bright, but I can't see it lasting long. They'll get to know the guy. Hi Ern:)
