Question for you guys: my buddy runs a toy store and currently does not order a lot of hockey (for Legends 2 he only ordered 1 case). If I got him to order more cases for NHL 11/10/Legends 3 would you guys be interested in purchasing from him?

With all the scalping and ridiculousness these days i'm just trying to find ways to make things a little easier...

6five, As far as I'm concerned I would be interested but would never commit until I knew the lineup. I'm finding I'm picking & choosing a couple from each series now compared to buying everything a year or two ago. I do think one can profit from them (a retailer), but modestly bumping the price of a chase lowering the cost of the pegwarming type players and an average cost for the rest. Just my 2 cents.

Joe, if he does like $20 for chase and like regular price comparable to Wally I would shift there completely. Be even nicer if customers could call up a list of A chase they really want in a series and if possible go to the first call first serve basis, any additional chases being left for the masses. Kind of a customer program. Seriously though I only really look for 1 or 2 chase per series so something like this is more up my alley. Might not affect those that collect a lot more. Of course he would have to make it so that you are not allowed to just buy the chase fig on its own. Must buy at least 1 regular fig. This would help with some of the would be pegwarmers. Cuz If I'm there to buy the figs and he has em for a comparable price, then I'm going to buy it there. Heck I'd even start buying my comic from him as a one stop shop.

Gary and I do it right. we let everyone else waste gas and there time then buy them at 20-25 bucks 6 months later. its way easier and u knowwhat the figure is still new to me even if its been out for awhile. plus I don't know if u guys know this but there is no added value or way of proving if u have the first figure. The only people who should be upset about not getting anything on the first run are the scalpers cause they are the ones who lose out money by not getting something on ebay right away.

Don't get me wrong the chase is fun but really the added stress some of u guys put on yourselves is just not worth it. Be patience good things come to those who wait. I know this cause I've been waiting for GAry's Theodore and it is going to be mine some day!!!!!!

I went to the Wallyworld at Polo to check on the figures and complain. Bad timing, none of the managers including Donna was again, lunch break of course. I think we should all complain, the service sucks there.

For the Star Wars Unleashed fans, they have General Grievous, Ankin and Obi-wan figures at the SS St. James Location. I was very surprised to see them there.

If you are wondering, SS had no Legends figures also.

Sometimes they'll flirt with "rarity" but cutting back on a single series then bumping it up to a happy medium. Considering the time of year (even though the Cup run is usually on) it would be a good time to make a shorter run to inflate interest.

i seem to have survived legends 2 with only one goalie purchase. so that's cool. i know i can hold to just a Kipper in NHL 11... i was a bit disappointed with the rest of the figures as they came out...

i hope for a new edmonton goalie soon - i was looking at my shelf, and i could do the canadian team goalies (lalime, cloutier, belfour, kipper) but i don't really want my salo to go up. i just don't like that figure anymore. the only other question is to go Theo2 or stick with my white canadiens roy.

Kurt was pretty accomodating with us when we spoke with him but he is an assistant mgr for a reason, none of the things he was saying meant anything and 90% of it was just him trying to think on his feet to get the customer to back off. Nice tactic, I'm in retail I know the run around answers. Though today in age most of us are educated enough to realize that inventory systems aren't quite as unreliable as he was trying to pin WalMart as having.

i've played with both ballhockey balls and trust me dtk this one leaves nasty bruises...it's really not that hollow it's pretty thick...stings like a SOB no give on the ball
