Madden 2006 is highly addictive...rented yesterday. I've only played two games but, damn!

Precision passing is awesome and easy to get used to (I've turned Vick into an accurate passer and like in real life, Peerless Price sucks. Roddy White on the other hand...)

The passing is very realistic in this game and I love how you can look off safeties and LB's (finally). In my first game, I got little yards and needed an onside recovery and a Matt Schaub (Vick got hurt) TD with 24 seconds left to beat Philly on the road, 14-13. And then I threw for 490 yards vs. the Saints, and the best part was on one play, it looked like Aaron Brooks actually threw the ball away to the side and BACKWARDS. can't get any more realistic than that. J/K Peaceshark:D

Although the Stats are kind of skewed thanks to the glitch in the game, but other than that, great game

Does anyone here own NCAA 06, I'm probably picking it up on the weekend after I return Madden. I think I'll keep it for an extra day,Thank goodness for no more late fees at blockbuster!

I have NCAA06 and it rocks the game is wickdly cool and has an awesome taunt option! I also have updated rosters for the college teams comming in the mail so I will have real names at real positions. Pick it up for sure!

goOilersgo - i picked up NCAA for my bro on my way back from the states... i didn't realize that it was in my backpack (along with the receipt) when i crossed customs, and even though i 'declared it', because i didn't bring in the receipt - i damn near got me a new arsehole torn by the customs guards when they checked my car.

funny side story (related to customs) - i couldn't help but notice as they checked our purchases (and literally ticked off the receipts) from what we claimed and what was in the car, they didn't seem at *ALL* concerned about the fact that i had my friend's passport (who had forgotten it in my room). they didn't even look at it.

i could've sold that thing to Shareef Abul Jarim (pardon the profiling) and they were more concerned about the number of clothes we got from the GAP and my toys from Target. and they stole my roast beef sandwhiches on the way in to the country.

I am looking for 20 full-time equivalent players who want to play pick-up hockey, have some fun and exercise (and for those of you who are married, a chance to get away from the nagging wife and kids, just kidding) on Saturday nights.

The season runs from Oct. 1st, 2005 to Mar. 18th, 2006. (23 game season)

Location: Billy Mosieko Arena @ 709 Keewatin

Time: 10:00 PM to 11:30 PM (17 of the 23 games) or
10:45 PM to 11:45 PM ( 6 of the 23 games) - Please refer to the schedule provided below for start times.

Cost: Full-time (23 games) will be $200
Part-time (12 games) will be $100

Drop-in's - $10 per game

As for who's in, it looks like we'll have more than enough people but that was before talk of adding a prize was involved. Perhaps feeling a crunch under the National Hockey League's new salary cap, the Ottawa Senators may be looking to deal defenceman Wade Redden, according to a report in the Ottawa Citizen.

With the Senators facing the prospect of having Zdeno Chara and Marian Hossa joining Redden as unrestricted free agents following this season, the Sens might focus on keeping Chara and Hossa while landing a package of younger -- and cheaper -- players in return for the 28 year-old Redden.

The paper says that the Edmonton Oilers were one possible trading partner, before they landed Chris Pronger from St. Louis, and the Sens would like to get a similar kind of package that the Blues got (Eric Brewer along with prospects Jeff Woywitka and Doug Lynch) in exchange for Pronger.

Ernie's not bad, he's just not a collector, so he's the competition. I think we'd be hard pressed to find someone that hasn't made use of ebay, but guys here are generally helpful to one another, selling chase pieces at cost or maybe as much as $5 over to help each other out (which these days probably doesn't cover the gas). Ernie doesn't seem to want anything but profit, so be it, that's the definition of scalper.

It's just a matter of what player is ranked highest (your rankings or the default rankings) when your spots come up to pick.

in other happy news, i've spent the last few hours mopping due to a busted bleed valve (gotta love hot water heating :rolleyes: ) picture a concentrated spray of water blasting out - situated right at the corner of the living room - literally 'into' the wall bordering my roommates bedroom - water seeping out from under the baseboards at the low spots (hardwood floors) and it took f o r e v e r for them to shut the water off. thankfully the guy from JSR arrived shortly after and fixed the busted piece.

now i'm kicking back (chugged an ice cold beer in the shower - damn that feels great!! - you have to try it next time you're superparched) and i'm watching Pearl Jam Live at the Garden DVD (note to Todd/Mark/Jon - just make the damn figs) and about half of my towels (i have lots of towels) are in the laundry.
