pretty stoked. it's only $10/hr to start (9 months gov't sponsored), and my dad thinks it's nuts that this guy gave me a buncha stuff to look at and he wants me reading books and stuff on my own time. while it's all pretty beneficial if he gets carried away i'm gonna have to ask for more money. we'll see how it goes - either way, should be a solid learning experience.

i'm the exchange, just off Main, so it's gonna be kinda cool being downtown i think. it'd be cool to stay at work for like an extra hour or two and then walking over for a moose game or somethin.

According to the captain and the head stewardess the Flames lease their jet out to corporations when they are not using it. Otherwise it just sits in a hanger in Calgary. It's an Airbus A320 and the entire plane is essentially first-class. The seats are full lazboy recliner-style with tons of legroom. I'm tall and unless I get bulkhead seats I have negative legroom but on this plane there was a good 14" of legroom in front of me. There's a giant centre console with armrests and places for your food and drink. I sat in the row directly behind the "poker row" where two rows of seats face each other and there's a table in between. All around it was pretty dope.

gas is for suckers. (but even the bus pass is getting steep).

this 1.85 is a crock of ****e - i filled up a few days ago at 1.03. i'm not rushing out.

my economics teacher always said - if everyone in the world could boycott gas for a few days, we'd have the prices dropping so fast. but it'll never happen, no one is willing to go without for a few days. aside from those that *have to* so many people could use other methods and this would be a dead issue.

best part is - if this stays up, all the prices go up, all the stores will carry the end price to the consumer.
