I'd have thought Dryden would be one of those guys in good financial shape, between his law career (IIRC he had finished that degree before playing hockey) and now his political career he shouldn't be wanting that much, should he? How does it feel to be dominated by a drunken hairy German Sasquatch?

You guys wanna know what my secret is? Besides picking up the right Oilers, it was making sure I ended up with Brad Richards, Vokoun, and Zidlicky after the draft. I knew Richards was good for 80-90 pts, 50 from Zidlicky, and Vokoun is the best goalie in the league. Mike Knuble was a gift, although I figured he would be playing with Forsberg, so I held onto him. I wish I had drafted more Sens, but other than that I'm happy with my team right now.

I remember when I was a teller in 1997, I was working at the Polo Park CIBC and this lady came in on Xmas eve and wanted a credit card to do her shopping with. I told he she could apply and she would get a card in 2-3 weeks. She wanted it NOW!

She freaked out and started yelling at me and calling me the nastiest names. Then she grabbed a bunch of Withdrawal slips, started crumpling them up one by one and thowing them at my head. Someone had lobbed him up there and he was concealed until I climbed up for a woman who was interested in the toddler car. I was standing on the top of the 11 foot ladder and when I found Elmo and I lifted him up and said "Hey look what I found!"

Bad friggin' idea.

Two women saw what I had in my hands and started yelling at me to give it to them. Their carts were banging together and then they starting arguing with each other. It was a bonifide cat fight! The one woman starting slamming her cart into the ladder to knock me off. I'm not kidding, she tried to kill me.

I ended up climbing off the ladder and onto the riser. I sat on the top of the riser. (This was when Wal-Mart had those wooden cross risers for Xmas that were really high...) I ended up throwing the Elmo down and the woman missed it and it fell into her cart. The other woman reached into her cart to grab it and they started wrestling for it. They fought it out until one woman got it and ran out in front of the bike rack. She left everything else in her cart and ran for the front of the store. The other woman starting crying. I sat on the riser for 5 more minutes till the crowd cleared.

This was like a week after that Wally Toy guy in Fredericton got trampled to death, so I was not taking any chances...

Two women saw what I had in my hands and started yelling at me to give it to them. Their carts were banging together and then they starting arguing with each other. It was a bonifide cat fight! The one woman starting slamming her cart into the ladder to knock me off. I'm not kidding, she tried to kill me.

I ended up climbing off the ladder and onto the riser. I sat on the top of the riser. (This was when Wal-Mart had those wooden cross risers for Xmas that were really high...) I ended up throwing the Elmo down and the woman missed it and it fell into her cart. The other woman reached into her cart to grab it and they started wrestling for it. They fought it out until one woman got it and ran out in front of the bike rack. She left everything else in her cart and ran for the front of the store. The other woman starting crying. I sat on the riser for 5 more minutes till the crowd cleared.

This was like a week after that Wally Toy guy in Fredericton got trampled to death, so I was not taking any chances...

For what it's worth, I waited it out until midnight last night and did manage to spend an hour and a half to get that DVD camcorder I was after. I think I'm still the most die hard NHL Sportspicks collector out of the Winnipeggers thread. Although, I think cogra and CTO are completists. My ultimate mission is to have at least one of every possible jersey for each NHL team + retros and my favorite Legends. I think I'm up there with you espin. I do all the variants, as well as retro and third jerseys. If a player doesnt have a variant I get that too. Legends I just do variants of the few players who I can remember playing. I do all multi-packs, 12" figs and grab the 3" two packs when they blow them out. So far I've got everything except the big 4 from series one (my blasted warehouse case didnt help any) and I'm partially done series 10. Still looking for the following variants: St. Louis, Lang, Thornton, Theodore and Modano.
I'm willing to buy or trade. Only trade bait right now is a NFL 12 Favre variant.
