Legends dropped at Unicity this AM. I heard that Jay from Mandalay pretty much got everything. Oh, well I guess "you snooze, you lose..."

I did stop in at Polo Wally this afternoon and they were in the process of opening a few cases. There was only one other guy there (a boardie?) who did get most of the chases. He did give me one chase Orr for myself and I found a chase Dionne which I'm going to keep. I also picked up Espo (nice fig!) and a Grapes.

in cases where this does not fall on a business day, the government will typically move the deadline to the next business day. and even on leap years (and call this irony) the government has typically allowed one day after Feb 29th (because we're all so , well Ignorant, for some reason....)

SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) -- Cristobal Huet is taking full advantage of an opportunity to start in goal for the Montreal Canadiens.

Huet made 24 saves for his third shutout in his last seven games, and Alexei Kovalev scored with 5:49 left in the third period to help the Canadiens beat the Florida Panthers 1-0 on Thursday night.

"Huey stole the show again," Canadiens center Christopher Higgins said.

Huet has started Montreal's last seven games, including five before the Olympic break when he took over for Jose Theodore. The Canadiens are 5-0-2 in those games.

"It's real important for the guys to know they can count on me the rest of the year," Huet said.

Theodore is out until late March after fracturing a heel during the break.

"(Huet) doesn't look like a player who wants to give up his position to anybody," Canadiens coach Bob Gainey. "You have to earn the confidence of your teammates, and he has done that for a while."

Nah, you're just not old enough Brad. There was a time when Winnipeg and Chicago were quite closely linked in terms of economics, size and perceived growth. Oh yeah, wind too, we're "the windy city of the North". There's also that funny invisible border thing going on so we can be a gateway to the West (in Canada).

Sorry, just a spiral away from the original intent. The stronger association is with Chicago, so it flowed that way. Your original comment though was the Gateway to the West, a title typically reserved for St. Louis. Winnipeg typically has that title in Canada though. That's all.
