Southtown TRU has SPs, there are Two Shinders within Earshot of MOA *Edina and Bloomington* Plus the Burnsville TRU and the Burnsville Shinders....
I am SO not Rand McNally, but its all on 35W going South, so I would Mapquest away. Its pretty much a straight line. If I can drive it in 2 dimensions without getting lost, ANYONE can.

I can see the Metrodome roof from my Apt. Building. I live less than 2 miles *something like that* from the Metrodome. People PARK and walk to the Dome from my place. When the Hockey Riots hit, My building's Dumpster was torched. My mom called, and asked if I was in the riots. *laffin* Yeah mom.... Im talking to you on the phone AND participating in the riots.
Im going to PM you my Address. I think you already have it though.
Next, Im going to run up to the roof for a point of reference. :D

Now for the comedy portion of the show, as I almost took a header off the roof of my building to provide it to you.... Well, okay I didnt. I just slipped a little on some rocks, and rather than drop a 400 dollar camera.... I dropped Gabby. I needed both hands to secure the camera. Now Gabby fell three stories and took a blade of grass into his shoulder articulation.... but he should avoid any time on the DL. He landed comfortably on what appears to be an imported maple leaf, and seems to be doing quite nicely.... Or so he tells me.
Hey, I wonder if this qualifies as quality control work for McFarlane Toys?

Roloson has been UNBELIEVABLE in the 3rd tonight, all night actually but the Jackets must have had the puck in the Wild zone for at least 3 straight minutes just shooting away. Holy crap!
well, congrats on the win Joe, the shootout was insane. After Daigle missed it was like "Oh, Elizabeth, this is the big one!" Have fun at the game tomorrow. Wish I could be there, but I have to go scuba diving.

Which game?! Buckeyes game was great. Gophers were really impressive in the first half. Put up the second most yards EVER against the Buckeyes. Maroney's long run was one of the best plays I've ever seen. And as far as the Bucks, offense looked the best I've seen it and Ginn is fast, very fast! As far as the Wild game, the Wild's power play looked good, the Blue Jackets plain sucked. They committed dumb penalties, and when they were on the power play it seemed as if teams were even strength. Blue Jackets had 53 shots and a lot of them quality on Friday night, last night they had 16 shots and almost no quality shots. Overall game was good though, first NHL game for me this year so I was just happy to see a live game, plus being in the lower level was nice as well. I'll definitely be looking to go to a few more this year if I can get tickets.

I don't know how you can't be a football fan?! Well, nevermind, you're from Minnesota. I understand. Its alright, you like the best sport there is --HOCKEY! That's all that counts!
I just never liked football, it's terribly overrated. They play once a week and all the sports media talks about it over and over and over for the rest of the week. It's cool to show the highlights a couple times but show them and move on.

Anyone seen NFL 12 yet? I noticed at my TRU today that in the SP section they had everything organized with about 9 pegs right in the middle completely empty so I'm thinking they may get them in tomorrow, I think they get their trucks in on Thursday nights. Let me know if any of you are looking for anything. If anyone's looking for previous NFL let me know, my TRU still has a Bettis 12", Brady 12", TO 12", and a bunch of NFL 11 Bradys and Roafs.

One of the morning employees brought out an already opened NFL12 case. To my surprise, all 12 were still there. I even put the rest of the figures on the pegs for them. The person who brought the case to me was very appreciative & even said "thank you" to me for doing that.
For the others - yes, NFL12 has officially hit the Twin Cities!! Woodbury TRU got 1 case yesterday & it was put out this morning - by me!! :D

That Shawn guy is a GREAT guy.... You cant just go in and snipe figures though.Im not saying you do, its just that he and I are friends.... We talk a LOT of shop about a lot of things.... *LONG story*

When I get access to a case, and if no one I know doesnt need it.... I leave it. Its bad Karma. You can ask almost ANYONE I know. Hell, Shawn has seen me do it. Im pretty sure Riley has seen me do it too.
Ive left more chase pieces on the pegs than Ive snagged.... especially this year, what with me being SUED and all. *chuckles*

No, that would be the guys from Shinder's. They used to have one of their employees work part time at TRU so that they knew when stuff was coming in. Or at least that's what I have heard from different people. That may have stopped, as I know Shinder's now orders cases and I see that they are now also selling variants on eBay.

I didn't think Vokoun looked that bad. Two deflections (Foster and Veilleux goals), one great point shot through traffic (Foster 2nd goal), and one gang bang in front of the net (Rolston goal).
For anyone who does customs/has customs made, try to avoid swapping helmets.
Bouchard custom on Bure pose, swapping a CCM for a Bauer = Nightmare.

No, that would be the guys from Shinder's. They used to have one of their employees work part time at TRU so that they knew when stuff was coming in. Or at least that's what I have heard from different people. That may have stopped, as I know Shinder's now orders cases and I see that they are now also selling variants on eBay.
My buddies Jason, Reed and Ben collect/play Magic: The Gathering Card Game.... and you should hear the SMACK they talk about Swindlers.
First off, about 6 or 7 years ago, maybe longer.... they were opening and resealing packs somehow .... something to do with a Black Lotus or Blue Lotus card *worth quite a lot, or so Ive been told.* Evidently there was an article in the Star Trib about it, and Shinders had to make Nice Nice about it with the collectors. Again, Im only going on what Ive heard.... but I hear it a LOT from other people who play Magic around the city, and their other skimming practices too, so if only half of it is true.... they're a pretty underhanded crooked lot. I'm pretty sure the ONLY reason Shinders stays in business starts with a "P" and ends with an "N". No ifs, ands "OR" BUTTS about it....
For the record.... I ocassionally shop at Shinders, but not if I can help it. I mostly buy card supplies and a clearance SP everyonce and awhile. I also play Magic, but just for fun and to make really stoopid noises and animal sounds. How does this differ from my normal routine? Less drool.... HEY, I dont want to wreck the cards. :D

i read in the papers quite a while ago that one of the guys at shinders was stealing stuff from the store then selling it on ebay was said to have been over 25,000 dollars in merchandise. i thought that was funny but you guys want to visit a store with real crappy owners go to ceder cliff collectables in eagan (or how ever you spell it) that guys is a D***. i still can't figure out how he gets away with selling bootleg DVD's but about my above post please i need help

Went to my local TRU, they had NFL12 in. I only picked up a McNabb (chase) and a Favre. They also had a few Harrisons, Tomlinsons, Arringtons, Mawaes, and Dillons. Didn't see any Brees though. They also had the latest military series.

I doubt you'll have trouble finding one either. I don't even bother collecting chases unless I like that uniform better. I've seen maybe 5 chases altogether and only bought 2.

I generally just stick with the uniforms I like as well. Unfortunately, it tends to be the variant/chase figure. Why every Cowboy has to come with the white jersey as the regular is beyond me...

I'm assuming you're looking for Cowboys? I haven't seen a single Julius Jones at retail, our TRU still has a crapload of Aikman's though.

To me this are just figures that I collect. I don't care how much I like a player, or team, I'm not paying $50 for a 6" figure. There may be some figures I never get but I just don't see the point. Everytime I've watched the 6" Bettis on the bay they go for between 40-50 plus shipping. Just can't bring myself to do it. I may never have that Bettis or the NHL Nabokov but oh well.

Well my TRU trip yielded nothing but heartache.....I don't think they know what the hell they're talking about though....I've been there 4 times in the last 6 days and I go in today and everything looks the same. Lots of MLB, and scattered NFL 11 & 12s. I ask a guy when they're coming in and he goes and checks the computer and tells me we already got them and they must have sold out. I asked when he said he didn't know, I asked if they were getting more and he said it doesn't show they are but probably....there is no way they got them yet. Thursday is their usual shipment night and they have pegs that they tore the old labels off of and a big empty gap.....I'll check again tomorrow.

I use to talk to Chuck Foreman all the time last year because he would be a substitute teacher at our school. His son was a free agent at the time and I would always ask him about that and just about what he has done in life in general. A real nice guy and I consider myself lucky to have a principal that played football with him, lots of cool stuff I remember.

i've met chuck Foreman once he was doing autograph stuff at a wal-mart i used to work at carl ellar (spell check) was there too. they were both really nice and carl and i talked football for a while. it was fun. couldn't get an auto though would have gotten me fired. but now that i think about it. it would have been worth it.

Do you still need the Aebi and/or Iggy? I went to TRU this morning, picked up a Nash and Theodore, but they also had a few Iggys, a few Aebis, a St.Louis, a Thornton, and a Lang. Unfortunately I couldn't remember who wanted what but I can go back if you still need anything. Let me know.

anybody here been to twinsfest if so pm me these answers.
a.) I was told it is like a card show, pretty much just mn twins are there and also things there for kids and stuff is that true.
b.)i know its twinsfest but i heard that there have been mcfarlane stuff for sale (from hobby dealers)
c.)is it a good time?
yes, yes and yes. The left to center field is pretty much a card show, and stuff for kids. The infield is stuff for kids. right field area they have a twins museum set up. the main concourse is where most of the players sign, and also the loooooong lines. you can take a tour of the clubhouse and you can go see the broadcast area too.

the dealers are ok seen a raiders sapp at two different tables last year one had it for 15 the other didn't have a price i asked the dude for a price he says 20 so i turn to leave and grab it from the other table it is gone and when i went back to the other guy the price magically became 25. but the dealers have alot of other sports stuff too. football hockey baseball basketball stuff it is worth it but sadly when you go by yourself you have to choose auto's or mcfarlanes i had to go on two different days man waiting in those lines sucks so bring something to do

Good times this weekend. I got Mourneau on a bat and Cuddyer on an Authentic Jersey. Talked football with Wcco's John Gordon. I met Mauer on Thursday at Mankato's Winter Caravan, got him on a bat. All auto's were personalized..Two Mcfarlane dealers were there, kinda weird neither had good deals. Selling a Payton custom for 300.00!!..Which really sucked..Brodeur Series 1 125.00, amongst other things..Vince Young signed Mini-Helmet he got in Houston last week (250.00)..

yeah i think i seen him he wanted 100 bucks on sunday or a no logo cujo 65 for a team canada variant brouder and 30 for a reg raycroft...but i still picked up a team canada fuhr. there was another booth with mcfarlanes says they are having a hockey show at roy wilkins on march 10-11 i don't know more than that he ran out of flyers.

No, they are free, but you are limited to one auto per person.

the one thing I noticed that was weird was that he had a custom of Richard Dent (the custom I think was made for allstarfigures.com or there the ones he sells on his site) had the same inserts and everything, thought was kinda of odd (but I know it wasn't Angelo of allstarfigures.com). What did you guys think of his Payton custom (I thought it was brutal but oh well)

I was test driving a new pillow/bed spread comb that came with my new headache meds. The REALLY funny thing is, one of them is an amphetimine *sp* So I should be freaking Cornholio.... BUT No !!!! In th Bizarro Todd world, I got to hibernate. Seriously, I was sleeping like 16 hour days in the first couple of weeks of January getting adjusted to the stuff. I would wake up to eat, take pills and TRY to do some paper work here at my building. After that, I was a bear again. There were a couple of days, I seriously moved from the couch only to answer the call of nature.
I felt like Steven Wright from "Half Baked".... and I look like Rip Van Winkle. Man, I SERIOUSLY need a hair cut. I got a full blown mullet and everything. :D
