The Indians haven't done much, still mad they traded Coco. They did lock up Sizemore for six years which is good. I hope the Twins do well, just not as well as the Indians! I agree, as long as one of us (Twins OR Indians) finish ahead of the Sox I'll be happy. Even though the Twins are division rivals with Cleveland I still like them, but I can't stand the White Sox.

Found a sepia Robinson at the TRU in Bloomington yesterday. Only chase figure on the pegs, which was odd considering that they must have put out at least 5 or 6 cases of MLB. They also had all the regs from NBA10. The only MLB not there was Mantle. The lady who I checked out at said that there is a guy who comes in from Elko every day to every other day to get chases. She said that he told her that this was what he did - going to every TRU, Target & Walmart in the area.

Glad I didn't take my son to the game last night. From a couple of Vikings fans I talked to at work today, the Patriots fans were not treated very nicely. Maybe the fans should have directed their anger at the Vikings players on the field, not the Patriots fans in the stands.

Saw the remants of a few NFL cases at the TRU in Bloomington today. Mainly Bledsoe's (big surprise there) and Mannings left. They also had the new wave of Spiderman figures with Electro and Toxin, which were both pretty cool figures.

I always go to the Twins signing fest they have in the summer, date will be announced later, it is $25 and no limit to autographs, but the big players have long lines!

yeah that is a problem last year i spent most of the day sitting in line for one player and by the time i got out most everyone's line was to long to have a shot

And Ive discovered a NEW place to get Sports Pics here in the Cities.

Champs Sporting Goods. I know, SHOCKING !!!! :eek:

They dont always have the best selection, or the best prices.... but its something other than We B Toys.

Plus they clearance them out about once a year it looks like, so you can score some pretty good deals for customs if youre so inclined. There are a few other places around the Cities that still carry them.... Ive been seeing them show up at Big Lots again, but forget about MOMC if youre inclined to collect that way.

Target doesnt carry them at all anymore, but theyre carrying the HALO 3 Remote with the Master Chief Mini Figure. I havent seen SPs at the St Paul or St. Anthony Wal Mart in at least a year. Theyre no longer at Game Stop, despite all the HALO 3 buzz.

I hear rumblings about a Shinders reorganization/structuring from a friend of mine who works at a D20 RPG game producer here in the Cities, but I wouldnt hold my breath.

The bank that owns everything now (Wells Fargo?) has the Shinders Warehouse as well full of product, and wants to recoup some of its losses as I understand things.

Ive also been trying to talk a friend of mine who manages/owns part of bookstore in Uptown to start carrying Sports Picks, even though its not really something the majority of his audience/shoppers would be interested in purchasing necessarily.
(He and I are the only Sports fans I know in the place.) He does carry other McFarlane toys, but Sports Picks would be a VERY hard sell there.... unless they were from a Simpsons Episode, or had something to do with Neil Gaimen. (LONG Story :spawnskul )

Further, Diamond/Previews wont give him a price break worth ordering only a case or two. Now for other toys like the Simpsons, 24, The Horror Figures/Monster Figures/Land Of Oz, Movie Maniacs, etc.... they move out of there like water off a Duck. My friend can order a metric f#%& ton of those, which means they'll get great price. This also means I have NO problem getting what I want, when I want them, and at a great price.... even the occasional single packed piece and/or variant chase what not if I ask nicely enough. :cool:

As for Sports Picks? They'd end up losing money with any potential peg warmers more than likely, and they just dont have the room/space in Uptown to keep them around for any length of time to sell them.... They could put them up on their Web site, but again, their target audience is slightly afraid and/or annoyed by the "sporto" type, and the toys that represent the "sporto" type. :p

At any rate, Im fairly sure he'd have to make sure customers would buy one full series of figures, and with case counts the way they are.... well y'all know better than I do.Its how he handles a lot of the other sales, and well.... I cant complain. I always get a great deal, and all the pieces I want in the end.

Anyways, it would be nice if someone else in town would carry a small selection, Champs Sporting Goods aside. I mean, I like my SPs to smell like SPs.... not like toys AND new gym shoes. :D
Still, with the dwindling stores around here that now carry our favorite SPs, I'll keep trying and reminding "LS" of this fact.

Who knows? Maybe he'll do something....
(He's a HUGE Red Sox fan, so the Baseball SPs are alright with him, and loves the Hockey Legends Series for the most part....

when if you go there it's in the last aisle before electronics it looks like a bunch of random things thrown in around. i almost missed them altogether. other than that i've got nothing around me besides the burnsiville TRU and a place called cedar cliff collectables in eagan by target off of cliff road.
