I just wanted to let everyone know that as of tomorrow (Monday the 29th) I will now be working at Staples Center.

OK... who beat me to the Tustin TRU and got the NHL Legends 3 case?? I picked up an Esposito, and they had a few Gretzkys, 1 Dionne, and 1 Mahovlich (all regs). I wanted a Don Cherry and there were none!! Who got there?? Come on... I know you're out there!! ;):p

it wasnt me since i had class at 10:00 :) never liked that TRU since i rarely find anything around 4pm :rolleyes:

I got an e-mail from the Dodgers on deck website and they had a presell for tickets for this upcoming season. There was a 8ticket limit per e-mail address and you had to put a special code. I manage to get 4 tickets for Jackie Robinson night against the Giants and 4 tickets against the Angels. It is too bad that you couldn't buy any tickets for opening day. but I might try this saturday when they go on sale.

well, i would think so just because there were more Dodgers Kent and Angels Ryan than any other fig. they may not be a solid case, but probably close to it, regionally packed i suppose. if i could remember correctly.

Ryan = at least 12 figs. 4 pegs full with some here and there.
Kent = at least 9 i counted

Went to Tustin TRU today... They had some MLB 14 (got a Kent in good condition (but not mint)), and I picked up from Coop 2 Angels Ryans (1 for me and 1 for thefiend5) and a Jackie Robinson that has a slightly crushed package. If anyone knows where a minty Jackie is, please let me know. The case of Coops they got looked like somebody drove over it with a forklift.... EVERY package was crushed. They also had 4 boxes of the Yankees box set.

And no new hockey!! :(

You beat me to the punch. I was at that same TRU, and saw those figs as well. Seeing the Cooperstown figs, gave me the itch, for some SPs, so I bought a Clemente.

They also had all WWE Classic 9 figs.

wut a way to start off the weekend..i randomly strolled into Tustin TRU after class and expecting nothing from the SPs section but Amares and Okafors. then as i came around the corner i noticed the whole TMP section were filled with Coop 3 and MLB 14 (top and bottom section). again i thought probably someone picked out all the chase. then in front of me was a Varitek chase :D kinda had to look twice at it to make sure it was MY FIRST chase finding ever..

then i looked down and found another chase..Team Canada Martin Brodeur.. by now i had a big smile. When i looked through the Coop in hopes to find a Jackie chase, i found a lone Carlton Fisk behind all the Mantles and Mattinglys. then i went around to the SW section and found a 3" Pujols on the pegs?? all in all equals my first SP haul in the afternoon :cool:

Tustin TRU also had the Yankees 3 pack for those interested in the OC

now my wallet is empty and i still have to buy NBA 10 regs tommorrow at Franks :(.

Went today ~2pm to Van Nuys TRU. TONS of MLB 14 and Cooperstown 3. Also several of the Boston and NY 3 packs. Picked up a Kent, Robinson, and Ryan. It looked like they had heavily packed cases of these figs as there were lots. Also lots of Mantles. No cooperstown chases. I wasn't looking for any others. If you need mint figs, there were lots here. Except Matingly. For whatever reason, there were no Mattinglys at all.

I opened all three. The Kent face sculpt is pretty good, but the pose is kinda weak.

I cannot begin to describe how sweet the Robinson and Ryan figs are. Pretty much as close to perfection as McFarlane is gonna get. The Mantle was really good as well, but I'll get Mantle, Fisk, and Clemente when prices drop. Couldn't care less about Mattingly.

I can't believe the sh-t I see from some of these guys though...the hot wheels guys are the worst, but I've seen star wars guys actually flipping through the figs like a dog digging a hole with figs flying all over the aisle.

Don't just assume scalpers got them. You never truly know what is in a case unless you open it. It's all speculation really because I personally have opened several cases over the years that had no chase figs.

Just got back from TN last night. Got to see the Wings beat the Predators 4-2 AND got to meet Mark Mowers and Jason Woolley of the Wings! They were healthy scratches and just happened to be standing out in the concourse and of course I recognized them so I had them sign my ticket. I got to talk to them for a few minutes. There really isn't any way to ban someone permanently from forums....... you can ban IP addresses and login names, but it's not hard to go to a different computer, or use a proxy server to hide your IP, or get a different login name.

OK. I ended up going to the Kings game last night. I got a T-Shirt, and out of 6 games I've attended this year, I FINALLY got to see a win. The crowd wanted Luc to score so bad.... He had a few amazing shots during the game, including knocking a puck out of mid-air about 2 feet wide of the net.....

Ed... Those Pete Rose pics are sweeeeeet. I wish I got to meet him. Congrats. I gotta hook up with you and get that Led Zep thing....

And yes, I got 2 tickets for the Ducks playoffs. I know some of you guys are gonna hate me, but I am selling them on ebay for top dollar. I had planned to for some time, and I bought 2 expensive seats to do it with. I had a friend that made a ton of money during the Angels WS run, and right now, I need the money. If they advance to the next round, I might have an inside scoop on getting some tickets. I could prolly get 4 per game, but these would only be for "personal friends" cuz if I was to actually "scalp" those, the person that got me the tickets would get in trouble. We'll talk more if the Ducks beat Calgary.
