Welcome to the Board. Frank N Sons is basically a wareshouse, I would say, about the side of a football field. There are diffrent kinds of collectibles there, from bobble heads to sports apparel, hot wheels to SPs. They even have a wrestling ring inside for special matches. There are roughly about 8 booths, that have a good amount of sps. However, nothing new until NFL comes out. Is there anything in particular you are looking for? Maybe, someone here on this thread can help you out

I went to frank and sons today to complete MLB 9 and look for the Jeter Garciaparra 2 pack. I manage to do the first but not the second until i decided to go to the toys r us in Long Beach and i found 3. I got one and left 2 if anybody is looking for one. Anybody going to the Dodgers, Angels game sunday? I will be there hoping to see a Dodgers victory :D

I even recall reading something about the Jeter 2 pack being delayed at one point. Thus, making the sosa 2 pack delayed as well.

FYI... Changed the Draft date to Thursday, July 22 @ 630 pm. This way everyone can sign up for some other drafts and get some ideas of sleepers I have made up my mind, and I ll give up 3 var/retro for 1st 2nd and 3rd. Nothing close to being highend. I think I have an extra Faulk colts, Shockey chase, and I have a few cases of NFL 8 , 9 and 10 on hold. Im sure I ll have some other chase pieces from those cases. The only catch is that you would have to claim your prize at F&S.

First thing you need, is a Yahoo ID. Its free, just go to yahoo.com and get one.

Bored SoCal part-time collector here wasting company time reading posts.

As a transplant from Texas I must say that:
1) Lakers getting Rudy T. as coach is a good thing over Coach K. He's a great guy and will be liked. Won championships on the NBA! level and not college. Always backs his players up. (Not a great judge of talent sometimes though, be prepared!)
2) I'll agree an Angels Ryan figure would be so nice. He did so much in his playing days for them. But uniform-wise/marketable figure-wise it's not even close. Old Astros uni BY FAR over Angels!
3) You SoCal collectors are tough. Can't find squat over here in the O.C. area anywhere! I give up, you guys win. I've accepted I gotta go to Frank & Sons and pay market price for what I want ;-)

Naw no McExclusives this year. Yeah too many Spidey comics (my fave by the way). I just buy the trade paperbacks (compilations) for Ultimate Spider-Man. That's a well-written book. I;ll probably start following Amazing Spider-Man again stating with #500 (yes 500!) and all the ones after that I missed.

He told me they had 3 cases of NFL and 1 case of C'town in the back. But said he can't pull them out until a guy who reserved a case can search the cases. Then a manager walked in and heard our conversation, and said the guy only reserved NFL8, so he let me get first dibs on C'town!!! I walked out with an Astros Nolan, and a grey Gibson, and I left a soft hat Yogi. On my way out the emlpoyee told me to leave a list of the NFL players I want. So he can hold them, in case the guy shows up, and leaves the one I want. So we get out of the movie and head back to GS. So what does he have waiting for me, a regular JLewis and a white McNair!!!

I still got that white Green, but im looking at it, and it looks sssssswwweeet. I was going to trade it but im going to hold on to it. However, im going to open up 2 more cases tomorrow, if I get another, you have first shot at it. I opened up a case yesterday and one today, to get the same sweet pack out IMO. Pulled Holt Retro, and Brown White in both cases. Im happy. As you can imagine, those Browns are spoken for and im buying another for 28 and 25. Ill let you guys know what I pull tomorrow. ROTS hits theaters in May of 2005. Hope you don't mind spoilers, so here goes a few ROTS tidbits:

-Takes place a few years after Episode II.
-Opening sequence will be a space battle.
-There will be many saber duels, culminating in the Obi-Wan/Anakin duel.
-Mace Windu will die in a gruesome way.
-Sidious/Palpatine will use a lightsaber.
-Padme is pregnant throughout the movie, but hiding it.
-We will see Wookiees, including Chewbacca!!!
-A main character gets beheaded.

At the panel they didn't show much from Ep III. Some conceptual paintings of what the Wookie planet looks like and the Wookie kids. A drawing of Chewie. A drawing of another Wookie scaling a mountain or something. They showed a clip of Ewan MacGregor and Hayden rehearsing the big final lightsaber fight. The clip ended with a shot of Hayden putting on the Darth Vader costume (which got a cheer from the crowd). Guest appearances were Carrie Fisher and Hayden Christiansen (sp?).

J3-M8, I recall reading a possible "story line" of SW III. I doubt it is true, but it was entertaining. Darth Jade seduces Anakin and some how the Queen finds out. At this time Obi, takes her into hidding to protect her from Anakin. The sith come out of hidding, which consisted of Count Dooku, Darth Jade, Darth Bane, Darth Maul ( his clone ) and the senator (possibly others). Pretty much the sith kill off all of the Jedi. Anakin and Obi get into a fight, and anakin falls into a lava pit. Or Anakin is fighting someone else and the out come is the same. The Senator rescues him after everyone thought he was dead. No longer capable of breathing on his own. That is where Darth Vader was born. In the end, after all the Jedi are dead, Darth Vader and The Senator kill off the rest of the Sith, leaving the two of them in complete power. Oh yeah, and Boba kills Samuel L Jackson. I thought it was an interesting storyline. I just hope that the movie isn't a let down. BTW have you heard the song Fett's Vette, by MC Chris? If you have Kazza, I suggest DL it just to hear it once.

i saw doug flutie walk (actually he was driven) from practice yesterday.
his knee was heavily wrapped and was walking with a noticeable limp.

A friend of mine saw a Holmes RED/RED variant hanging one afternoon around 2 pm, but alas it was gone by the time I got there. Some of the staff there have had it with the door sitters and stock shelves after the morning rush. Keep an eye out for the unexpected!
