Hey everybody,

Hope all is well with everyone, haven't posted here for a while... I've been busy! I see lots of activity with everyone lately... nice scores on the chases, OP, superchase and super-ride chase. :)

I recently got the ultimate grail... my girlfriend of many years and I finally took the next step and got married near at the end of February. :eek: Billy (KingSmokey) is the only one in the thread who's had the pleasure of meeting my lovely wife so far... still hope to meet up with more of you sometime soon! Ducks playoff games, baseball games, Ducks watch parties anyone?!?! :) I'm moving to the SGV in May,so I'll be joining a few of you in checking out some of the stores in the area when I get a chance.

Anybody else going to the Kings fan appreciation game on Saturday afternoon? I went to the Ducks regular season finale Wednesday night... but no jersey off the back for me. I've gone to every Kings fan appreciation game since 2001 (save for the lockout year of course), and every Ducks one since about 2003. Never got a jersey-off-the-back of a player as of yet... though I do know someone who got a Brad Chartrand Kings jersey back in 2001 or 2002.

I've got high hopes for tomorrow though... it's my birthday! :) Maybe karma will give me a Cammalleri, Kopitar, Frolov or Blake jersey off one of their backs. :D Between the wife and I, I guess we have about a 50 in 18,118 chance to get one (or about 2.78%).

Lance, I'm down for a ball-game this spring/summer. Either team is fine... if we go to Chavez then parking at Dodger Stadium is on me (I've got some vouchers!). :)

Thanks for the kind words and congrats, guys. :) I got married on February 24th (the same weekend as "Tip-a-King") in Las Vegas! Never thought I'd get married there, but it was a great choice. My entire immediate family (plus my favorite aunt and uncle) and my closest friends came in from Toronto, and most of my wife's family from the SoCal area made the trip as well (along with some in Arizona and Texas). Vegas was a good "neutral" site for us to have our wedding... not to mention somewhere where people could have something to do after the wedding as well!

I hear what you're saying about the Kings, Billy. We bought these tickets back in January before they fell further and further... but it's still a tradition to go to the last game of the year. Didn't win any prizes but there was a great sale at "Team LA" -- 40% off pretty much all Kings merchandise. Bought a few things... the best of which were three game-used sticks.

Billy, they gave Kings rally towels to all fans at the game -- I got an extra one that has your name on it. Next get-together I'll have to give you that plus that Bossy fig I still have! :D

So a pretty nice birthday and evening as well. Anyone ever been to the North Woods Inn in Covina? We went there for dinner along with some of my "new" family -- good steaks, salad and mmmmmm... cheese bread!

I got three game-used sticks at the Team LA sale I mentioned above. I bought two goalie sticks from Garon and Labarbera. And my wife bought me a game-used Michael Cammalleri stick for my b-day. He's pretty much my fave King left... more and more good guys leaving the team... I'll have to post some pics of the sticks sometime in the future...

Went to the first two Ducks playoff games too... got some goodies there as well. I'll go post about that in the Ducks thread.

What Walmarts carry SP's in the valley. I don't think the one in West Hills has restocked since the last NFL Legends line. Last time I saw just a bunch of Ronnie Lotts. No variants... In fact I remember walking through there and not seeing any last time. It sounds like Walmart is getting the 756 figures, so I wanna try and pick up a couple of those.

Van Nuys has really improved as far as SP's go. They have their own little area in the back. Good supply. Picked up Ray Lewis, and a Campbell. Passed on a White Elway that someone in the next aisle. Hope none of us cough up a lung, lol. I'm going to Pierce 3 days a week, and I have to get the hell out of there when classes are over. I can't friggin' breathe!

We should meet up sometime. Hang out. Watch some football at a bar.:o All root for different damn teams.... I'm still mad that Antonio hasn't got us a team yet.

I've checked a couple of K-marts in the SGV area and no White Gores. They've had some current NFL, but no Gores (or chases of course).

I did finally see some new NHL at a local TRU -- picked up a Miller, and a couple of Ovechkins. Didn't like the paint jobs on the Malkins I saw, so didn't pick one up.

I've seen a few WalMart stores starting to stock SPs again. One store had only regular Tomlinsons, and two others only had basketball figs.

The Malkins I found at TRU were atrocious so I passed. I have a chase Malkin coming in trade and I may just keep that depending on how the paint job is. I wanted the reg black but I'm not gonna waste my time trying to track down a good paint job.
