This isn't BFC news or anything....just relating to the new anime that's coming out this year. The anime is going to be 26 episodes and will air in August. I don't think it will air in the USA but because it is a joint venture between a Japanese company and ADV films it is almost certain that ADV will release it on dvd sooner or later.

Now that Guyver I has been released I'm gonna have to send Max Factory an email to try and find out the release date for ZX-Tole. Amenbo says it will be released in early June but won't ship until late June so I'm thinking it won't be released until the last week of June or so.

i'm actrually more interested in Neo-ZX-Tole now as he's rather elegant in design. i love his head, it's far more attractive than ZX-Tole's. the other kool thing is how his head beam works:

HAHA, that's supposed to look like a scene from the anime where Guyver I is unconscious and attacks Guyver III and since Sho wasn't awake the Guyver was in full control and overpowered Guyver III even though Agito is physically stronger than Sho. I couldn't quite get the pose from the anime but that was the best I could do. :p

Yeah...in the manga when Guyot and Imakarum appear for battle they have some sort of clothing on.....neither one of them keep them intact very long though. Besides, I think the characters look alot better without the suits....they take away too much of the detail.

Actually the armor that comes with the Guyot figure isn't right. While his suit does have the gold armor on it, it also consists of a solid blue suit that covers his entire body from the neck down.

Personally I never really liked the blue suit....I have the Guyot model kit and I was never impressed with the suit. Now the BFC figure is something I like alot.....it's the same with Imakarum Mirabilis because I don't like what he looks like in his suit but when he's just in his Zoalord form without the suit I think he is one of the coolest looking characters there is.

with how well this Figure Line is doing, i wouldn't doubt we'd get most of these figures, eventually. I'm sure they have no intent of stopping anytime soon either.

After going through all those data files.... (saving them just in case) I noticed that there are a ton of baddies I have never seen.... and lots of them would make grrrrreat figs!!! :D

Dedguy, I don't see that as a real problem. For me (and I can only speak for myself here) the Guyvers are my favorite of all anime characters and while I now have all 3 of them and could stop there, my enjoyment of the series doesn't come from them alone....it comes from all of the cool extra characters like the Hyper Zoanoids (characters like Zencrebe are only now showing up in the manga) and the Zoalords (regular Zoanoids don't have as much appeal to me because they are just too common in the manga). In the manga there are still a bunch of Zoalords that nobody has seen in their tranformed state....only Alkanfel, Guyot, Murakami/Imakarum, Purgstall, Yentsui, and Waferdanos have actually transformed. So for me I have every intention of continueing to collect the entire series of figures so that one day I'll have all the characters from my favorite anime.

I bought it for about $30 or so...I think it's worth it...even though it's all in Japanese or Chinese. It has all the info of all the characters and some other info.

Dedguy, you take alot of pics so maybe you can help me....I'm looking to buy a digital camera and I don't know a whole lot about them. Is a digital camera with 4.1 megapixels any good?

the MP isn't what's important, it's the lenses, imo anyway. the megapixel size really depends on what you're using it for. 2MP is good for net-use, i'd say ya should get 4 or so if ya want to print them, more if you want large scale prints. read some online reviews of cameras, they can be a big help. i use an 2.1MP HP Photosmart 620c.

look up some reviews on it. you can spend 8MP 1200$ on a camera and it will take crap pictures when compared to a 3MP 400$ camera. megapixels aren't a very good indicator of the kind of pictures a camera may take.

I like Neo Zx-Tole better than ZX-Tole.....he has a smoother design which just flows better and makes him look so much better. It's a shame that in the manga he is only around for about 10 pages in one volume before ge gets blown away by Guyver Gigantic's Gigasmasher.

it depends. if you pre-ordered it and didn't set your account to "ship when available" then they will wait... 90 days i think to ship it. they will send an e-mail letting you know it's ready to ship BUT if you havn't recieved that e-mail yet i would assume you don't have your account set to "Ship when ready"

When I got my Murakami figure from a guy on ebay, it came with the best packaging job I have ever seen. It came in a shoe box and it was wrapped in bubblewrap and all the gaps were filled with newspaper. It would have taken an incredible amount of abuse to damage that thing.

Aptom IV - 55-60$
Murkami - 35-40$
Guyver II - 45-50$
Guyver I - 35-40$
ZX-Tole - 75-80$

if you're paying more than that (before shipping US funds) you're paying to much.

If your thinking of getting into this line... dont wait too much longer... this is the kind of line that if you get behind it will cost you a spleen!!!

Just to think you have to already catch up and pick up 5 figs to be up to date... some of which are not available anymore and/or on pre-order status for a re-release.... and you have to keep in mind the ones that are being released for the first time...

When I check for Guyver stuff I always go to the "browse by" section and under category I click Science Fiction and then find the Guyver link there. Click on action figures and it takes me right to the page where the figures are and at the bottom of the list has always been Guyot.

response to my e-mail to Max Factory, they seem to misinterpreted part of my question but by doing so have offered up some other interesting info.

I don't know that he will answer that part of the question. In the first email I sent to Max Factory I asked about BFC figures from figures already made in the BFW line and the only response I got was one of "we hope to make many more from the Guyver series but we cannot say any specific figures past Gigantic Dark."

That's ok....Murakami doesn't have the articulation that the Guyvers have but I still like him. So an Evil Aptom figure with limited articulation would be cool with me.

How mobile are the hip articulation joints?? Are they mobile enough to do sidekick poses, splits and such??? Some pics of this would be very appreciated.

I have to say that all this Guyver talk on the boards and not to mention the pictures are luring me in to the dark side, but I must know more. Aside from Gundam and Robotech, the Guyver OVA was one of the first series I got into as an anime/manga fan and I've always waited for a Good line of figures ever since. I may just have to fork up the arm and a leg to get these...

After I got my Guyver I he really quickly became my favorite of the 3 figures. I agree that I wish that Guyver III was like the other 2 but unfortunately he isn't. I'm hoping that they will make a figure of Guyver 0. He's only in the manga for a couple pages while Imakarum is unconscious and able to see Alkanfel's memories of prehistoric time but he was pretty badass and I like his design.

Yeah, Guyver I is a really cool character (I like Guyver IIIs design better though) but the Guyver I figure is by far my favorite of the 3.

Imakarum is by far the #1 figure I want to be made....then Alkanfel, Yentsui, Purg'stall, and Waferdanos (as they are the only Zoalords that have battleforms so far). I want the rest of the Hyper Zoanoid Team 5 and all 3 Enzymes. I want the regular Zoanoids like Gregole, Ramotith, Vamore, Broyze and the others but they are all generic and are relatively low on my list. And of course Griselda and the Libertus Zoanoids (both Form A and B) to go with my Guyver III since he's now bad and trying to take over the world for himself. It just wouldn't be right to have Agito without his lackies.

Yeah...plus he doesn't look to be all that mobile so he'd only be able to like move his head and arms. He'd probably make a better BFW. The only reason I would think it would be cool to make Waferdanos would be if they planned to make all 13 Zoalords.

While I have no problems with the Guyver I figure at all (how can I, he's perfect) I did notice that he is missing something the other 2 have. His feet are solid....there is no joint in the middle of the foot like in Guyver II and III. But like I said, it's not a problem, just something I noticed.

Okay, I got my HLJ shipping confirmation thursday and my enthusiasm has hit a boiling point, so I preordered Richard Guyot and preordered the restocks of Aptom IV and Guyver III as well from HLJ.

They're damned expensive but I figure at one a month I can afford it reasonably easily. I want the zx-tole but I have no idea if I'll have the money when it comes out(overspent on Star Wars) so hopefully he won't be as hot a seller, or if he is he'll be reissued.

In the manga when Sho kills Aptom in his Gregole/Vamore/Enzyme II form he regenerates and kind of hangs out in the woods for awhile until he runs into Alkanfel (who proceeds to blow Aptom apart only leaving his head) and then after he regenerates he heads to the Chronos base to see if he is capable of absorbing a Zoalord. When he gets to the base he then absorbs Gaster, Darzerb, and part of ZX-Tole. But he never comes into contact with Guyver I again until volume 10 of the manga....and everything that happened with Aptom in the base is in volumes 6 and 7 so there is a big gap between when Guyver I fought Aptom and when he meets him again as a good guy...even though technically he's still a bad guy, he just doesn't want anyone else to kill Guyver I except him. Although now since Aptom is being controlled by one of the Zoalords he is fighting Guyver I...but not in the beetle form, he's in his Evil Aptom form.

While I was glad to have the anime on DVD I really prefer the voice dubbing that was used in the orginal VHS. When I bought the DVD and found out that they changed some of the characters voices from the VHS I was really disappointed....I thought the voices used in the orginals fit the characters alot better than the new ones. And what I don't get is why they only changed some of the voices....Sho and Agito have the same voices but the voice used for Agito as Guyver III is now different. Other voice changes include Guyot, Darzerb, ZX-Tole...and several others. Like I said, I'm still glad I got them on DVD...just wish they hadn't changed the voices.

You can kind of follow what's going on...I have a translated synopsis that I got off ebay for volumes 8-22 so I know what's going on. Also, there are a couple websites I use that go into a little more detail. So one way or another I can find out what's going on in each volume.

I don't think there will be any new manga before the release of the new anime. Yoshiki Takaya (the creator of the Guyver for those who don't know) is the only one who draws and writes it so I don't think anyone else will be doing it. Also, he puts the manga out in a monthly magazine in Japan (like the comics here in america) but there hasn't been any new stories for the last couple months, probably because he was working on the anime. But volume 23 isn't due out till December.

You might be able to do that...I haven't tried. I don't know if the blades will fit because each one's blades are shaped different so the space on their arms might not be right to fit the other's blade.

YAY I GOT MY GUYVER II TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! btw anyone know how to fix guyver II's left arm blade if the peg is still on when i take the blade out? cuz mine is..... :(
I haven't had that problem....The only problem I've had like that is the ball joint in his wrist has popped out with his hand when I changed them but not with the blade. Can you just put it back in?

You can try pliers....but I'd be extremely careful with them because it is only plastic. Did you try to put it back with your hands? I would try that first.

well the blades are fine, it's just that I might not be able to put in the retracted blades.

I would just say be really careful with the pliers...or maybe use a pair of tweezers.

Try soaking it.. in like soapy water or something to try and make is slide out... mabye with some warm water too...

i wish they did a better job with the paintjob.. im looking at it while it's still in package and it looks like im going to have to buy a very thin purple marker so i can fill in all the detail on guyver 1. the paint they used on the groves for his armor is just too faint.

yes but now that i see it in person i definately have to do it. before i was going by the pics other ppl posted hoping that it was just their flash that washed out the detail but doesnt seem it's the case. Seeing it up close it looks like i got a lot of detailing to do.

Make sure you take plenty of pics when you do that.

Neither do I...the only figures I ever touch with paint or marker is if I decide to make a custom figure....which I've only done 3 times to date. I'm happy with my Guyver figures they way they are. I would like to see his Guyver figure when it's done being detailed though.

all im going to do is take a very thin purple marker and run thru all the groves in the armor so that they're darker just like how they are in the picture on the back of the package. that's how i want mine to look. Should be too hard.. you dont really need a steady head since the grooves will guide your marker. the only parts i would be worried about are any circular parts like his forearms

I think that's right....I didn't take them out of the package but looking at them inside it looks like that might be the right combination of hands for him. Never noticed that before.

by the peg i mean the C-ring, can somebody answer this please, cuz on mines theres a pretty noticible black lines, actually make that 3 black lines and it's bothering me quite a bit.

I think it depends on whether or not you will be changing the blades alot....I mean the peg does move so you can move the blades a bit and if you glue it then it won't move at all, but you wouldn't have to worry about it coming out again. Personally I wouldn't glue it unless I absolutely had no other choice about it.

Well I would just put like a little bit of super glue inside hole then stick the peg in and leave it for a while. But i'm worried I might over fill it and cause the whole thing to get stuck..... lol

The peg will stay in, but when I put the extended blade or the retracted blade the peg gets stuck in both.

Guyver II was a Chronos agent who accidentally bonded with the damaged Guyver unit that was recovered by Chronos and was very quickly killed in the anime and manga both. He was only in 1 episode of the anime and about 10 pages worth of the manga....great character but very short lived.

We'll i'm still thinking about it cuz I don't wanna ruin mines cuz I only have 1. Plus the left blade gets kinda loose so if I have no choice I might have to. If i do should I use crazy glue, or plastic glue that is used for glueing the War Hammer 40K models?
