Here is my Julius Peppers display incase anybody is interested. I stole Lion4lifes idea. :D I bought a Shadowbox and used an old Peppers replica jersey for the background. I'm only putting my best Peppers auto and gu cards in it. SO I have room to add more. Thanks for the idea Lion!!

- your card isn't an RC - it's a parallel card. Nevertheless, strong pickup there. definitely worth more than a buck 25.

I always send them in a $.32 envelope.. I have sent in mcgwire, sosa griffey's that way and have gotten them back.

But you can always send it certified if you like.

Went to a Shop tonight,same place i got a Jack Lambert UD Legends auto from a few weeks ago.Picked up 4 packs,went out into the mall and busted the 4 packs didnt pull anything.Had another $20 just burning a hole in my pocket so i went back in and picked up 4 more packs outta the box,the guy asked me if i got anything and i said no give me four more.He let me pick them out,was only 7 or so packs left.Left the store and went back out into the mall and busted them,first 3 packs nothin.Opened the last pack and i almost fell off the bench!Went back to the shop,grabed a screwdown and told the guy i was damm glad i came back for 4 more packs and i needed the screwdown.He said what did you pull,i showed him this...

I very rarely buy any packs of cards simply because living in Canada it seems all football is too high priced. I usually just buy singles from here or ebay for my collections. Had a few extra bucks and just stopped into the local card store and decided to buy 2 packs of press pass and 1 pack of NFL Legends.

Noleman, If you go to Beckett and are a member (free), you can go to the tab that says "My Collection".
- Once you sign-in, under My Collection heading, Click http://images.beckett.com/images/portfolio/collectioncontrols_add.gif the Add button.
- Give the collection a Name (I chose players' names). [Save new collection]
- Collection Added. [Yes, Add Items]
- A. Choose the sport; B. Browse for a player by set or player name. [Start Wizard]
- In the Column labeled, Browse by player's last name. [click letter]
- Check the Player's name. [Next]
- A. Select Status (I Chose both own and want). [DO NOT CLICK FINISH]
- B. Note the words Your search has resulted in 21 items. (Alex Smith).
- In the B section you can click on each or you can click the box in the middle of the Part B and it will add all to the collection. [Finish]

The next page will say saved, would you like to add more click no I will add later and it will send you to the total collection price and let you view it.

If you click on the my collections button, you can now check mark the Collection and click the report button and veiw page by page or a printable version (unfortunately page by page).

This is a way to see a list not extremely efficiant for say Jerry Rice (9480 Items)...
But I am just trying it out first.

Well looks like Fleer is closing down if you have not heard,Rumors started flying last week about them shutting down.This sucks for folks with redemptions,I hope those who have redemptions can get them honored, but I doubt it.Borrowed this article from Trade Fax by Sports Collector's Digest.

FLEER FIRES CARD STAFF, LOOKS FOR FINANCIAL OPTIONS

Fleer Trading Cards dismissed its trading card employees Friday, leaving several employees to run the die-cast division and CFO Chris Tobia to look to sell the company in the coming weeks.

The company has been dealing with financial shortfalls for several months and last week cancelled plans to attend this weekend's NFL Players Rookie Premiere photo shoot in Los Angeles. Sources told Trade Fax the company had meetings with some of its licensors last week to discuss their financial straits. In addition, sources say one of the company's printers refused to release several upcoming products because of unpaid bills.

Current owner Roger Grass and his father, Alex, purchased the company from Marvel Entertainment in 1999. Marvel had purchased Fleer in 1992 and SkyBox in 1995, merging the two companies into Fleer/SkyBox.

Fleer was shopped around last year and existing card companies had submitted offers to purchase the manufacturer. Grass opted not to sell and the company invested money in product upgrades and promotional initiatives. Those companies are now left to assess if they would still be interested in purchasing any of Fleer's brand names, including its Fleer Collectibles line of die-cast vehicles that Fleer execs have said has been a profitable line for the company.

Also to be decided is whether licensors will look to replace Fleer's brands, particularly in basketball, where Fleer is the league's longest continuous licensee. The NBA would have only two active licensees.

Fleer is the industry's second-oldest trading card manufacturer, with sports-card roots dating back to the 1950s. It ha been a continuous licensee of baseball since 1981, football since 1990 and basketball since 1986-87 and was recently a WWE licensee. The company also produced hockey and racing cards within the past decade as well as entertainment cards and a collectible card game.

The news reached dealers over the weekend, and they responded with justifiable concerns regarding preorder payments and redemption cards. Within the industry leaders, even those awaiting an overall reduction in brand quantities were hit hard by the news. As one distributor told Trade Fax, "Yes, we've been struggling with a glut in the marketplace, but these were my friends."
