Surprisingly enough, it's a pretty damn good metal album even if you haven't seen the Adult Swim show, and it's even better if you have. I also thought it was pretty impressive that the actual music is almost entirely done by Brendon Small, he does everything except the drumming.

Also In Rainbows from Radiohead. Not as good as Hail to the Thief to me personally, but not bad, and hey, you can pay whatever you want for it.

Some total crapfest on Fox called "America's Next Great Band" or something.

Awful stuff. Horrid, rancid, terrible. I think music is offended by this show.

Only decent thing so far was a group of 12 year-olds that played Iron Maiden. They're gonna bring the old school metal in a couple years. They were pretty tight and could really play. Other than that, total waste. Even the bands they passed through. Some varied talent, but nothing close to new. But that's obviously what America wants.

They had some batch of skinny guys that dress alike in those stupid high-water suits and want to look like all the old 60's pop with floppy hair. Their song was straight out of the decade. zzzzzzzzz.
But that will sell to the radio morons that listen to that garbage.

The other band that will probably go far looked like all the punk-pop/goth/college wastes of space like Green Day and Good Charlotte and Blink 182 that also sell to all the mind-numbed kiddies.

awesome choice. I've been trying to learn at least 5 songs from all 3 of their albums on guitar. They aren't difficult, but they're a lot of fun to play. So far I know 2 from AOJB, 7 from End of Heartache and 3 from As Daylight Dies. I even know their cover of Holy Diver. :)

nice, i used to play guitar, but i hardly ever pick it up any more, you cant go wrong with Killswitch though

And for all you metal guys that dig on those dragon, sword and fire-type bands, I picked up an album by a band called Turisas today. Just felt like taking a shot. They're from Finland. Finnish folk metal *LOL* Really not bad. The album, 'The Varangian Way' is based around a viking quest eastward. Some majestic tunes and some eastern European influences. Even a little accordion. :D
Really, it doesn't sound too bad. Their style isn't exactly my thing, but I can enjoy it.

Into this band for a long time ever since the first album really. I just went to see them in concert for the second time, and even after 10 years John Crosby still puts on a pitch perfect show. Are there any other fans here?
