Cool. Very different. It's based on a lot of native American chants and songs. So, it's very much a different animal than 'Mit Gas' or the self-titled album. Feels very organic and sparse compared to the others. But there are some fantastic rhythms and cycles. They approached with a great respect for recreating these songs and themes than one might imagine. It feels pretty humble and lacks pretension. But it still carries the trademark Patton/Tomahawk sound.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure with each listen this will grow more and more on my ears.

That is the first album with Kyle on vocals. The last album (Fulton Hill) had a different singer that I didn't care for. Everything before Fulton Hill has Johnny on vocals, and they all rule. Staring at the Divine is an amazing album. I will warn you they are not as heavy as Open Fire, but still all amazing albums.

I've got tickets for the Seattle show (though it looks like I'm going to have miss that one now as travel plans have fallen through), the Edmonton show and the Calgary show. It will be my 4th and 5th time seeing them :) Can't wait!
