I'm the exact opposite. I saw Megadeth with Children of Bodom and In Flames in April, but have yet to catch Nevermore despite them being one of my favorite bands. I've now seen Megadeth and Metallica live, and I must say, Megadeth kicks the **** out of Metallica.

Their engineer likes to play favorites. Anyhow, what are some good bands from your neck of the woods? I'm extremely fond of a band from the Netherlands called Cilice.

stage fright? Man, I've been there. Things have changed dramatically in the four years I've been playin shows. When I started at 17, I was a short haired kid who would barely headbang. Now, that simply isn't the case.

At least as a drummer, you get to hide behind the kit :)

But I've never performed live with drums, and these guys are pretty serious. And it was not that appeling to jump in with a band that's been playing for a while, and have a good following, and to warm up for a band that's getting a lot of PR now, because of the contest.

Yeah, and I think the band will be better off getting someone more experienced for that show. I would have needed alot of preparation for something like that, not only to learn the songs, but getting used to the idea of being on a stage, and I don't feel that I had the time for that.

They're fantastic. Among their own prog rock style, mix in a little Zappa and a little Tull, mail them to yourself from Sweden, and you've got Beardfish.
Sweden mostly, but all of Scandinavia, is certainly the hotbed for modern prog.
