I haven't been able to find Premium Prime or Megs in my area yet. Megs is the only Premium I want, though.

I haven't seen any of the premiums in my area yet either. I don't think I'm gonna buy them though. I'm done with the movie toys. I just dropped a ton of cash on Animated and I still need aquite a few G1 for my collection.

i seen a premium barricade and jazz. really couldnt see much of an improvement on jazz though. it just seemed that the paint scheme seemed a bit more chromed out. you can almost right away see a difference with the barricade though. i'm looking for a premium ironhide if anyone sees it let me know

I didn't realize the deluxe class had a premium version. I thought it was just the Leader class. I like the premium barricade better as far as paint scheme goes.

Not too sure since I only have the R.I.D Galvatron but from what I heard is that the Megatron was not able to do all the Transformations that the Galvatron can, because they add a hinge or two to Galvatron. Before I thought that the added Transformations were just someone saying "Hey thing kinda looks like something, let market it"

Now I could be wrong but it what I heard from a few people

I love that they're reissuing Omega and Metroplex. Hopefully they'll come out with box sets up the constructicons, aireal bots etc. The good old days can be relived at a better price!

I hope to see a Trypticon someday, and wish they could reissue Shockwave and Jetfire.

i think its kinda hard to tell. i looked at his alternator version and it almost looks like an acura as well. without them having car naming rights its hard to tell. the classics version is throwing me off espicially when you look at the head lights. mainly with the indent it has towards the corners

a better view of the decal, and if you notice the band thats holding barricade in place you will see a tiny "643" decal thats missing on the original, also notice that "police" is in a sliver tint compared to the white in the original

yeah , I just compared My RID Galvatron and Megatron ....aswell as my Car Robots Gigatron with each other , and they are the same .....nothing different.
Actually, there is a difference in the sculpt in the Car Robots versions, but NOT in the RiD versions. This may have been changed down the line, but my CR Gigatron cannot change into all the same things as the redeco/retool. I believe it came down to one tab on the figure being different, effectively preventing the purple/black one from forming all the extra modes.

the premium version you bought is an update of the original release. the black and yellow your reffering to is more than likely the stealth bumblebee that is the newest one released, its just a different color scheme than the other 2

Wave three is the one with Jazz and Soundwave, correct?

If so, they just hit my Walmart a couple of days ago. Soundwave looks badass in his alt mode. Don't have the first clue how good he looks in person in his robot mode, but his alt mode is freakin' sweet! Jazz is pretty damn cool looking too.

I'm hella impressed by the animated line so far and I didn't think I'd like it at all really.

Yup.

There's a crap ton at my local Walmart. There was so much in fact that it took up most of the entire (previously empty) Movie line pegs. That coupled with the fact that they had already set up the shelf unit to hold eight pegs of the animated figures and... yeah, there's a ton, lol. I don't think they'll run out till a couple weeks from now. And the only thing left from the previous waves were about six Blackarachnia figures and like one Ratchet.

Hey, I live in Tennessee man, lol. We are usually one of the LAST places to get stuff. What's really funny though is, I live in one of the fastest growing cities in the country. Go figure. :p

Anyway, I said manager, not employee. ;)

You'd be unbelievably hard-pressed to find a helpful employee at Walmart. However, most department managers tend to help you out if they can, because they want you to spend money. Whether all of them are nice to you... who knows. The ones here try pretty hard to be nice, even if they have to grind their teeth in the process.

tankorr is really not great. i think they should've made him in a bigger size class. at least voyager size. him being a deluxe just doesn't work. maybe they should've switched him and powerglide. got powerglide and onslaught yesterday. pg's cool, but i can't figure out why they wanted him so big. and i had an immediate issue with onslaught. he was missing one of his front wheels. the part comes off, so i looked all over my room but it just isn't here

octane/tankor is definetly not a good figure, and galvatron ain't that great either. but i've really loved the rest of universe including all the repaints. animated is nice, except for some of the scale issues. and i do enjoy the movie repaints

Maybe you're right. But I get the feeling they made a bunch of one shot characters to throw a bone to the G1 fans (Soundwave, Swindle, Wreck-gar, Omega Supreme, etc.). I'd really like to see Omega back for Season 3, but I think he blowed up! :( And I heard Hasbro has no plans to make him.

it sounds like the first 3 will be back in season 3. definetly soundwave since they didn't really kill him off. he's just laying there at the end. and swindle could always be re-activated and wreck-gar is just floatin around out there. i do think that omega supreme was potentially just a one shot character and unless they give him a new body, the best we could hope for in the show is as a bodyless spark

I hope you're right. I love the way the show is heading and can't wait for season 3. I also have my fingers crossed for all the Starscream clones. As of now I don't think they're going to make them all. But I'd sure buy 'em if they did.

i think they will make most of them in one way or another. we're getting a voyager class skywarp and activators thundercracker and dirge (even though it was ramjet who was in the show). i think we could see a new mold deluxe sized femscream and then another activators repaint or a legends class repaint for sunstorm and ramjet

It's a design sketch, not the actual toy. So while it's something, it may not accurate depict the figure in any way. The english text is interesting tho. Confirms the toy's altmode, which I thought was a debunked rumor.

MP Grimlock looks great, but what's his the MP Prime and Megatron? Looking at MP GL next to G1 Prime, GL looks a bit small.

Also, it looks like it transforms like the G1 GL. I'm hoping for something complex, that's the whole fun part of the MPs.

So Botcon 2009 has been announced and is finally taking place somewhere achievable by myself - Pasadena, CA. I missed my first opportunity when it was last in CA about 8 years ago. Who else is attending?

I'm taking the wife and my son (both are TF nerds respectively). Since we have friends that live nearby we won't have to worry about a hotel stay, so that leaves more money to buy stuff. I'm hoping to grab MP Grimlock, Thundercracker and Skywarp for a reasonable price along with some art (trying to get the Alternator/Binaltech lithograph from 2007) and David Kaye's, Peter Cullen and Frank Welker's autographs.

I can care less about any con exclusives since they're mostly repaints of current TF toys that suck far too much.

just remembered something from a few weeks ago. i was at a small party for people who used to belong to the gym i worked at until it closed in january said her son in-law has hasbro as a client. i don't know what the guy does, but apparently he gets all sorts of transformers stuff from them because that's the division he works with. when she heard i was into transformers, she said she'd see if there was a way for them to get me some stuff, too. doubt i'll ever see anything from it, but you never know

I'm really, really disappointed with HS. It's better than the first HS but that doesn't say alot. I don't see how the weapons Takara has planned would work in vehicle mode because it's real low to the ground. I can see where they would peg in, but I'm not sure there would be room for them. Jolt's a POS. It wont stand on it's own and it's transformation is somehow more simplistic than the orignal's.

Ratchet is cool, though.
