Do you remember Valiant Comics. Characters like Archer & Armstrong, Bloodshot, Eternal Warrior, HarbingerMagnus Robot Fighter Rai Shadowman Solar Man of The Atom
Turok: Dinosaur Hunter X-O Manowar. They were some of the best written and drawn comics. But they were bought by Acclaim and killed them. Actually Collectors(people who Collect that doesn't read the comics) not the fans killed them. made the demand high, with a higher demand they made more comics, when the price went down they bailed on them. This was a bad time for comics, even Marvel went bankrupt. I would love if someone would revive the comics, not the way Acclaim did, but bring back the originals. Couoldn't you see a Spawn VS X-O, or Solar, and the greatest Shadowman.

Simply great books, Jim Shooter was the brains behind Valiant, and they kicked him out when he wanted to reduce the publication numbers, and put a cap on the number of titles they were offering. The other Valiant partners got greedy, and wanted to get as much money out of the company as they could, they (with the help of "speculators" and Wizard) killed the company. There were probably 5 comics printed for every one person actually reading them. It is really REALLY sad. Their whole universe was so tightly interwoven and so well designed. My understanding is John Taddeo (former Marketing Manager for Marvel) was trying to buy the rights to the characters in the Valiant Universe, not sure whatever become of that.

Colin Something-was born in Japan to an official of the British government and his wife. Both his father and wife had been secretly experimented on (shots that they thought were innoculations really weren't) before they left for Japan. As a youth Colin showed incredible physical and mental development (not superhuman but exceptional). Colin's father became involved with several powerful Yakuza families and for Colin's safety, he was sent to a monastery, where he began training in the martial arts and everything your stereotypical ninja is supposed to know. Eventually his father ran afoul of one of the Yakuza families and was killed. Colin's mother was kidnapped by the same family and held as a hostage against Colin. Colin was forced to leave Japan and the girl he loved. Colin returned to the UK, inherited his father's money and connections, did a few odd jobs for British Intelligence and then told them all to bugger off.
He then began a personal crusade against an organization called WebNET, run by Dr. Silk. Dr. Silk was a genius, crippled and deranged due to a lab accident, who ran one of the world's most advanced arms distribution organizations. His most serious competition was The Weaponeer and his cadre of white-suited delivery men. Among The Weaponeer's most effective assets was the occaisonal services of the black and purple clad ninja known as Ninjak.

Solar, Man of the Atom
Real Name: Phil Sileski
Aliases: None
First Appearance: Solar, Man of the Atom #1
History: Physicist Phil Sileski had been a fan of the Gold Key comics published in the 1960's, particularly the adventures of Doctor Solar, Man of the Atom. Now an adult Dr. Sileski designed an experimental fusion reactor along with fellow physicists, ga yle Nordheim and Erica Pierce. But an accident at the reactor unleashed forces that give Phil godlike energy powers - abilities subconsciously shared by Dr. Pierce. Unfortunately he lost control of these powers, killing everyone on Earth, including his beloved ga yle.
The power that Phil unleashed cast him through time and space into our universe, burdened with the crushing knowledge that he had destroyed his own world. To avoid repeating his world-shattering mistakes Phil merged with the Phil Seleski of this new timeline. Adopting the guise of his childhood comic book hero, Phil defended Earth from the Spider Aliens, who called him the "Destroyer" because he was bent on their total annihilation.
With her own energy powers, Erica Pierce also came to our world and drew its heroes to the Lost Land to fight in the Unity conflict. Solar ended her bid to destroy all of creation by trapping her within a miniature wormhole. Returning from the Lost Land, Phil moved with ga yle to California, where they tried to live as a normal couple.
But Solar continued to be needed. Learning of a Spider Alien base on the moon's dark side, Solar teamed up with X-O to destroy the installation. Later, manipulated by Master Darque, Phil released another Solar, the Destroyer, who then journeyed through the galaxy, seeking to annihilate the Spider Alien Homeworld.
Powers/Abilities: Solar is capable of almost anything he can think of. He can fly, manipulate reality, even time travel.http://sonicdan.com/Solar/solaroil.jpg

Magnus, Robot Fighter
Real Name: Magnus
Identity/Class: Harbinger (Mutant human) cyborg
Occupation: Robot Fighter
Affiliations: 1A, Tekla, Slagger, member of the Future Force
Enemies: Malev Emperor
Known Relatives: Kris Hathaway (mother), Torque (father), Leeja (wife), Torque (son)
Aliases: None
Base of Operations: North Am
First Appearance: Magnus, Robot Fighter #1 (Gold Key, February 1963)
Powers/Abilities: Magnus is able to smash steel robots with his bare hands. In the Valiant version it turns out that Magnus is a second generation Harbinger, the child of two twentieth century Harbingers who was taken forward in time by Solar, and thus has superhuman strength and durability..
History: "No robot may harm a human, or allow a human to come to harm... This is the unbreakable law built into every robot, and the metal-men were created solely to ease man's tasks of life."
(Valiant version) Magnus was born in the twentieth century, during the Unity War, the child of Kris Hathaway and the super-strong Harbinger known as Torque. Sensing that the future had need of the young second-generation Harbinger, Geoff the Geomancer took the child forward in time to the thirty-ninth century with the help of Solar, Man of the Atom.
(Both Gold Key and Valiant versions) Magnus was raised in isolation from the rest of his humanity by the robot 1A, an almost unique emotional robot which foresaw a time when mankind's robot slaves would tire of their subservient role and rise up against their masters. Wishing to prepare a defense for man against such an eventuality, 1A trained Magnus to be a perfect human specimen, expert in martial arts and in destroying robots. To aid him when the time came to battle rogue robot, his mentor also implanted a receiver in Magnus' brain, enabling him to secretly listen in on robot-to-robot radio communications. Once he felt Magnus was ready, 1A introduced his protege to human society. Magnus made his home in the city of North Am, where he soon began his war on rogue robots.
(Valiant version) Eventually Magnus began to question his mission. 1A was a rogue robot of sorts, after all. He started to wonder if he had the right to destroy a rogue when it wasn't threatening humanity, merely wishing to live free and not as a slave. After meeting and befriending the Freewill robot Tekla, Magnus eventually decided to end his enmity of the robots, allowing the Freewills to set up an independent city-state of Synchron, under the leadership of Tekla. Magnus, meanwhile, had grown disdainful of the North Am elite who lived in the city's Milespires, and moved to live among the "Gophs" who inhabited the city's poorer lower levels, where he made the acquaintance of Slagger, a Goph champion.
North Am was then invaded by the killer robots of the planet Malev 6, led by their Emperor and seeking to turn Earth in Malev 7, their new home. To this race of alien robots, makind was only useful as a fuel source, drained for the "ectothermic energy" of their brain waves. Joining a group known as the Future Force, Magnus led the fight against the invaders.
As time passed, Magnus learned of his twentieth century origins. He would marry and have a son, whom he named after his father. Following the Chaos Effect, Magnus was stranded for several years in the twentieth century, got elected President, and returned to his own time. When the Malevs returned, Magnus' wife was killed, and his son was forced to become a Psi-Lord to save his own life. Solar the Destroyer finally annihilated the Malevs, but Magnus vanished around the same time.http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/0406/21/magnusth.jpg http://www.comicscontinuum.com/stories/0501/13/magnus3th.jpg

Turok
Real Name: Turok
Occupation: Hunter/Guide
Enemies: bionisaurs
Aliases: None
First Appearance: Four Color Comic #596 (Dell Comics, December 1954)
Powers/Abilities:
History: (Dell / Gold Key version) Two pre-Columbian Indian friends, Turok and Andar, were out on a hunting expedition when they accidentally found their way into a large valley surrounded by huge, unclimbable cliffs They discovered that dinosaurs still survived in the valley and that they could not find the way back out. For many years they survived in the valley, battling the dinosaurs, cavemen and other bizarre threats.
(Valiant version) In the American West of the 1860's, Kiowa Indian hunters Turok and Andar explored a cave in the desert. The cave led to another dimension. They emerged in the Lost Land, where they were menaced by dinosaurs and primitive tribesman. Later, Turok led the primitives against an incursion into the Lost Land by Dr. Lazlo Noel of North Am. Joining forces with North Am's protector, Magnus, Turok had his first encounter with futuristic technology.
Then, Erica Pierce, known as "Mothergod", arrived. Immediately changing the Lost Land to suit her plans, she erected futuristic facilities and fitted dinosaurs with intelligence-boosting implants. One of these "bionisaurs", called Mon-Ark, became Turok's greatest enemy. When Solar defeated Mothergod's genocidal "Unity" plan, the Lost Land was reduced to a state of unreality. Separated from Andar, Turok was cast through time and space to the jungles of Colombia in 1987. But he had not made the journey alone; scores of bionisaurs also appeared on Earth--including Mon-Ark.
In the Valiant version, the hidden valley proved not to be somewhere in North America, but was instead located in an alien dimension, known as The Lost Land. Turok was a man out of his time - born before the White Man conquered America. With a deadly combination of modern weaponry and ancient wisdom, he fought a vendetta against creatures birthed by an unholy union of nature and technology - the bionisaurs.http://www.psychosaurus.com/turok/images/turokdh1.jpg

X-O Manowar
Real Name: Aric Dacia the Visigoth
First Appearance: X-O Manowar #1 (February 1992)
Occupation: President of Orb Indestries
Enemies: Spider Aliens
Base of Operations: Orb Indestries
History: Aric Dacia was a Visigoth barbarian in the 5th Century. He was the nephew of Alaric, a great barbarian leader who eventually sacked Rome. He had a wife named Diedre, who was eventually killed during one of his sojourns into the past. He was abducted by Spider Aliens in A.D.408 to serve as both slave and food-source on an alien starship. But the starship on which he was a captive was attacked by Solar. Amidst the chaos, Aric stole the aliens' greatest weapon: the Manowar Class X-O Armor that he simply calls the "Good Skin". On Earth, 1600 years had passed while the alien ship traveled space at relitavistic speeds. Confused by the modern world, Aric found the sentient armor to be a very good guide. The armor taught him English and helped him adapt. Back on Earth Aric was befriended by Ken Clarkson, who sought the Armor for his Spider Alien masters. But Ken turned against the Spiders. His left arm was severed by alien laser-fire as he and Aric defeated the aliens and took the corporate empire of Orb Industries (which had been a dummy corporation for the Spider Aliens) away from them.
During the Unity conflict, Aric was nearly bitten in half by a bionisaur. Only the X-O Armor's healing abilities kept him from dying. From Unity, Aric was returned by Solar to A.D.408. But his superhuman power so terrified his fellow Visigoths that they united with their enemies, the Romans, in an unsuccessful attempt on Aric's life. Unwelcome in his own time, Aric hibernated in the Armor until the present. During this time, the X-O Armor evolved a different configuration and sprouted a Seed able to spawn another Manowar Armor. The Armor was called to the Spider moonbase by the aliens, who desired the X-O Seed. But Aric proved that even without the Armor, he could still beat the Spider Champion. With a mutual desire to eradicate the Spider Aliens, Aric and Solar destroyed the moonbase and the sixty thousand aliens within.
With no desire to return to his own time, and with the help of Ken (who helped run the day-to-day operations of Orb) and Randy Cartier (in charge of Orb's security), Aric began to accept the late 20th Century as his home. All of this was undone when a villain called Crescendo slew Randy and Ken, while destroying Orb. Aric then became a wanderer, both in space and on earth, before becoming partners for a time with a young thief named Gamin.
Aric is still out there somewhere. According to Rai # 0, Aric will rebuild Orb Industries and live into the mid 2060s thanks to the armor.
Powers/Abilities: The Manowar armour grants a variety of abilities - enhanced strength and powerful blasters amongst them. It serves as a total life support unit, protecting the wearer from space, healing injuries, and even allowing the wearer to hibernate for hundreds of years without aging.http://valiantcomics.com/valiant/CD/vh1/XOManowar/x-o02.jpg

Rai
Real Name: Tohru Nakadai (42nd Rai); Takeo Konishi (43rd and last Rai)
First Appearance: Magnus #5 (October 1991)
Base of Operations: Japanese
History: The origins of Rai lie back in the twentieth century with Bloodshot. During the thirty-first century the nanite technology, the "Blood of Heroes", was infused in the first Rai. Since then for a thousand years thereafter, a successive line of extraordinary men have assumed the mantle of "Rai", the national protector of Japan. Tohru Nakadai was the forty-second nam to become the Japanese national champion. It is "Grandmother", the sentient computer caretaker of Japan, that transformed Tohru into Rai, imbuing him with vast and powerful energies.
During Tohru's tenure as Rai, the Spider Aliens invaded Earth for the second time. Controlled by Grandmother, the enormous robot-body that covered the Japanese islands was brought to bear against the alien starships. The alien armada was destroyed, but Japan would never be the same. Grandmother relinquished control of the nation of Japan, which now orbited Earth like a second moon....and, during the battle, Tohru's wife, Kayuzo, acquired an alien battle-armor suit (see X-O Manowar), making her nearly as powerful as Rai!
Later, during the Unity conflict, Mothergod caused Japan to fall from orbit, effectively destroying the once-proud country. Tohru attempted to avenge his slain countrymen, but was himself killed by the murderous Mothergod. Later, with Earth under attack by the evil Malev robots, Geomancer Rokland Tate infused Takao Konishi with the fabled "Blood of Heroes", dubbing Takao as the "Last Rai". Now Takao wields the powers of the nanite-laced blood that once coursed through Bloodshot's veins. With the cry of "Mindlock!", he can mentally control the Malev invaders, one at a time. And Takao has a further talent. He has the Harbinger ability to psionically inspire others. The stronger his own convictions are, the more others will be inspired to follow him. Fighting alongside this new Rai are Magnus, Tekla, the Eternal Warrior, Kayuzo in her X-O Commando armor, and the mysterious Spylocke.
Powers/Abilities: Like Bloodshot, from whom the line is "descended", Rai's nanite blood gives him superhuman speed, agility, and healing powers: total body control. He can also dominate electrical devices and read computers directly through physical contact, which makes him a deadly threat to the robotic Malev invaders. Takeo, the last Rai, is also a Harbinger, able to inspire others to follow him through use of a subconscious psionic ability.http://valiantcomics.com/valiant/CD/vh1/Trade/rai.jpg

Shadowman
Real Name: Jack Boniface
First Appearance: Shadowman #1 (May 1992)
Occupation: Blues Sax player
Affiliations: Mike Leroi (kind of affiliated, as Leroi is his successor)
Enemies: Master Darque
Base of Operations: New Orleans
History: The city of New Orleans has a history of wild nightlife and Voodoo lore. Now, the superstitious folk whisper of a man in a carnival mask who prowls the night, savagely attacking members of the New Orleans underworld. The pushers and pimps are learning to fear the vigilante called "Shadowman" who's causing big trouble in the Big Easy...
Jack Boniface was a jazz saxophone player - just another Bourbon Street entertainer with big dreams. Unknown to him, he was chosen by a voodoo cult to become Shadowman to fight Master Darque. Darque is a necromancer and mightiest wielder of the Darque Power.
One night he was bitten by a vampiric Spider Alien named Lydia. Jack does not know what saved him after her poison knocked him out - only that when he awoke, she was gone. But she infected his blood with a poison that altered his use of the Darque Power when he became Shadowman.
Since that night, with each sunset, Jack is overcome by the urge to seek and destroy evil. Drug dealers, in particular, are targets of his nocturnal patrols. Jack's housekeeper, Nettie, provides his costume. Familiar with Voodoo, Nettie claims that Jack is inhabited by Voodoo Loa that compel him to be Shadowman (see the next Shadowman entry for more on her).
During the Unity conflict, Jack meets Elya, a warrior-woman from the forty-first century. After they fall in love, she reveals to him that he is destined to die violently in 1999. Upon learning this he realised this "prophecy" mean that he couldn't die before then and he took some incredible chances in an effort to prove it.
He soon became the nemesis of Master Darque, fighting him on many occasions. At one point, Darque's power made Jack into a "Blood-Runner". His life-force bled out for Darque to consume. Jack finally shook off Darque's influence when he recalled that he isn't fated to die until 1999. Then, as Shadowman, he attacked Darque at a critical moment, ruining the master necromancer's spell for absolute power. With Darque temporarily defeated, Jack set out on a journey of sight-seeing and introspection.
Eventually Shadowman was caught up in the events of Unity 2000. True to what Elya told him, he died heroically during that adventure.
But the story doesn't end there - Jack Bonniface might have died - but Shadowman lived on...http://www.bobhall.com/comicsgraphics/acclaim/Shadowman43cover.jpg

H.A.R.D. Corps
Members:Maniac, Gunslinger, Hammerhead, and Shakespeare:
Enemies: Harbinger Foundation
First Appearance: Harbinger #10 (October 1992)
History: The H.A.R.D. Corps are members of a secret paramilitary organization. The psi-borg soldiers of the H.A.R.D. Corps have use of amazing powers, but the cost is their freedom. Fearing the rise of the Harbinger Foundation, Mr. Heydrich's Omen Corporation creates the Harbinger Active Resistance Division, or H.A.R.D. Corps. By means of cybernetic brain implants, candidates are plucked from comas. These same implants can stimulate portions of the brain, reproducing the psionic powers of certain Harbingers. In battle, the H.A.R.D. Corps operatives, called psi-borgs, can call for Harbinger powers, one at a time. Operating the H.A.R.D. Corps' Harbinger Powers database is Softcore. It is she who grants psi-borg requests for powers.
The original H.A.R.D. Corps included Maniac, Gunslinger, Hammerhead, and Shakespeare. On a raid against a Harbinger Foundation installation, Maniac was beaten to death by the massive Harbinger, Big Boy. Despite the perilous nature of the job, more psi-borgs join the ranks, including Superstar and Flatline as well as the newest rookies, Hotshot, Wipeout, and Perp. In addition to fighting Harbinger forces, they have even battled the Spider Aliens. Any enemy of humanity is an enemy of the H.A.R.D. Corps.
But it is not the joy of battle that motivates these men and women. Should they forsake their duty, Omen will return them to their coma state.http://paula.clickandcarry.com/comics/image_comic/21hard.jpg

Timewalker
Real Name: Ivar Anni-Padda
First Appearance: Timewalker #1
Known Relatives: Armstrong(brother), Gilad Anni-Padda (brother
History: Ivar, the Timewalker, has experienced the passage of thousands of years, just like his immortal brothers, Gilad and Aram. Unlike them, or anyone else, Ivar has spent his years skipping around from one point in history to the next. Able to find natural "time-arcs" that carry him from era to era, Ivar might be in the present on week, and in the 41st-Century North Am the next. This gets to be tricky for Ivar, who must take care to do nothing that could change history - even though this pledge of non-interference often leads to some difficult choices. But his time jumps aren't motivated by curiosity or adventure; Ivar only hopes that the next arc will place him back in the arms of his one, great love--lost in another time.
Powers/Abilities: Ivar is immortal and heals wounds extremely fast. He is also superhumanly strong, like his brothers. His ability to find "time arcs" is unique to him however.http://valiantcomics.com/valiant/CD/vh1/Timewalker/VVSStimewalker1.jpg

Harbingers
Membership: Pete Stanchek, , Zepplin, Flamingo
Purpose: defeat Harada
Enemies: Toyo Harada
First Appearance: Harbinger #1 (January 1992)
History: A new breed walks among us--harbingers of the next step in human evolution. Harbingers are the "mutants" of the Valiant universe.
Toyo Harada, a powerful psionic and Harbinger, establishes the Harbinger Foundation to recruit others with similar abilities to carry out his agenda of world domination. One of the Harbingers the Foundation recruits is Pete Stanchek, the only other existing "Omega Harbinger", whose full-range psionic power rivals Harada's. Realizing Harada's schemes, Pete flees the Foundation with his girlfriend, Kris. They are joined by Zepplin, Flamingo, and Torque, all of them renegade Harbingers. Together, they use their different psionic abilities to wage war against Harada's forces.
But Torque is killed by Harada's elite Harbingers, the "Eggbreakers". Months later, during the Unity conflict, Kris gives birth to Torque's child. That infant, by the will of the Geomancers, is sent to the future to become Magnus, Robot Fighter--champion of the forty-first century. Back from Unity, they recruit Shatiqua, whose superhuman reflexes and tough attitude help when they battle the H.A.R.D. Corps. Later, they team up with Screen, a renegade Harbinger capable of projecting force fields. Having opposed Harada even longer than Pete, Screen brings the experience of a veteran to the group. But Peter Stanchek knows that time is running out, for he must soon face Harada in a deadly showdown that will determine the fate of the world.http://valiantcomics.com/valiant/CD/vh1/Harbinger/harbinger02.jpg

Bloodshot
Real Name: Angelo Mortalli
First Appearance: Eternal Warrior #4 (November 1992)
Occupation: British Spy
History: Angelo Mortalli was a mobster, a member of the Carboni crime family, until they sold him out. The scientists of Project Rising Spirit and its founder, Hideyoshi Iwatsu, were developing techniques to turn a man into a perfect killing machine, and the Carboni's were happy to provide someone to experiment on, so long as they were given back any successes.
The Project filled Angelo's blood with nanites, microscopic robots which erased his memories and re-wrote his DNA to turn him into a perfect killing machine: faster, stronger and more agile than normal humans. But just because a man has no memory doesn't mean he'll obey you, and "Bloodshot" as he was designated, escaped. Discovering they couldn't replicate the success of Bloodshot's "Blood of Heroes" experiment, they sent other operatives with inferior nanite-created abilities, the Speedshot warriors, after him, all to no avail.
Bloodshot tracked down some of his origins, and sought out Don Benito Carboni to find out who he had once been. Sickened by the man he once was, he renounced his past. An allegiance with Gilad, the Eternal Warrior gave him new purpose, and he became an agent of Gilad's "solicitor", Neville Alcott, who would send him on missions around the world.
Powers/Abilities: Bloodshot's nanite blood gives him superhuman speed, agility, and healing powers: total body control. He can also dominate electrical devices and read computers directly through physical contacthttp://valiantcomics.com/valiant/CD/vh1/Bloodshot/bloodshot46.jpg

Mystically prolonging their lives, the pair have survived to the present day, spared the ravages of time. In recent years, Darque's necromantic powers have blossomed to horrific new extents, as though some new source of death-energy had arrived in the world. Where Solar's power had thrilled Bender with the wonder of Creation, Darque's gift of power numbed him with the emptiness of Death. Reborn as Doctor Eclipse, Bender was now cursed with the power he thirsted for, his black vestments reflecting the dark madness in his soul.

Geomancer
Real Name: Geoff McHenry
First Appearance: Solar #10 (June 1992)
Occupation: Protector of the Earth
History: Geoff is a geomancer, a magician who uses the living energy of the world to protect it. Geomantic energy is the positive side of organic energy which exists in all organic systems, especially the Earth. Shortly after becoming the present Geomancer, Geoff McHenry discovered that he needed help in his personal mission to safeguard the Earth. The Unity conflict was the first great test for the young Geomancer. He meets two Harbingers, Livewire and Stronghold, who have left the services of the Harbinger Foundation and recruits them in the battle against Master Darque's strongest minion, a being composed of pure necromantic energy - Doctor Eclipse. The three have remained together after this initial mission, and are now partners.
Powers/Abilities: Geoff can use his geomantic powers to heal organic matter. Unlike Necromantic energy that reanimates tissue from the outside, Geomantic energy heals from within. He can also use it in a variety of other ways, but I don't have details of them.

Harada
Real Name: Toyo Harada
Occupation: Businessman
Affiliations: Eggbreakers, Harbinger Foundation
Enemies: The Harbingers
Base of Operations: Worldwide
First Appearance: Solar, Man of the Atom #3 (November 1991)
Powers/Abilities: Harada possesses an incredibly powerful mind, and may be the most powerful mentalist on Earth. He is telepathic, telekinetic and can control the minds of others through force of will.
History: Toyo Harada may possess the most powerful mind of any human on Earth. He is one of only two known Harbingers (people born with psionic powers, believed by many to be the first sign of mankind beginning to make an evolutionary leap) who has what is considered the full range of psionic powers: what he has termed the Omega Power. Harada became convinced mankind would eventually destroy itself and it's world if left to it's own devices, and that the only way to prevent this was if someone secretly assumed control and directed them down a better path. Naturally, Harada felt he was the logical candidate to save mankind. Knowing his fellow Harbingers were the key to success or failure in this campaign, he set up the Harbinger Foundation to recruit and train other paranormals for his cause. Because he fully believed in the rightness of his cause, he became willing to ruthlessly eliminate any who might get in the way of his plans, becoming a monster in the process.

Solar blasts his way through the Central Tower and confronts Erica one-on-one. Seeing the attack, Shadowman leaps to Erica's aid, nearly killing himself in the process. Erica uses the diversion to trap Solar in a wormhole.
Sting can no longer sense Solar and assumes him dead. Erica's counterattack drives back and scatters her enemies.

Sting discovers that Kris' baby is not his, but Torque's.
Day 92
Enraged, Sting attacks the complex alone. Erica and Sting battle, and only a last minute appearance of X-O and the others saves his life. Erica withdraws.

Day 157
Rai, Magnus, and the two Gilads mount a diversionary attack on the citadel. Archer and Armstrong sneak into the complex to plant a bomb to blow up the main power station.
Back at the resistance headquarters, the Harbinger team arrives. Geoff tries to check on the baby and discovers that it will grow up to be Magnus.
Elya is called away to defend the complex and Shadowman breaks out of Elya's quarters to lend aid. He then manages to thwart Archer and Armstrong's bombing plans, forcing them to return to their headquarters.
Geoff then enters the complex to reason with Erica, but is captured near the Speakeasy. The heroes then set off to the rescue Geoff, leaving behing Armstrong to deliver Kris' baby. The two Gilads breaks into the control center to save Geoff. Erica unlashes an energy bolt, seemingly killing him.

Shadowman encounters Archer and Armstrong again and ends up injured and trapped. Albert escapes.
The resistance breaks into the prison bunker, leaving Rai to defend the entrance from reinforcements. When Erica appears, Rai fights a desperate last battle, but dies at Erica's hand.
His sacrifice buys the others time to find Solar's cage. Sting uses his powers to free Solar.
Aware that Solar is free. Erica rushes back to the control center to activate the reactor. Albert picks up one of Rai's energy swords.
Solar, exhausted, is helped from the complex by Sting as Erica activates the main reactor.
X-0 appears and joins in a last ditch attack on the main reactor. Sting, realizing that Kris has been captured leads the Harbinger team to her rescue.
Albert uses Rai's energy sword to stab Erica in the back. She is not killed, but her concentration is broken long enough for Solar to dive past her defenses and confront her face to face.
Shadowman awakens just in time to see the huge column of energy from the reactor and realizes he is too late. He searches for Elya, and a means to escape.
Solar defeats Erica and traps her in the wormhole as Geoff convinces Kris to give him the baby. As the universe collapses around them, Erica's men try to flee, but the robots continue to fight.
Shadowman finds Elya and together they try to return to 1992 via the portal through which he entered. Solar returns most of the people and creatures of the Lost Land to their respective times. Albert is killed by Speakeasy bims.

LITTLE-KNOWN VALIANT FACTS
CELEBRITIES
In the pages of a few Valiant comics, you can find
some familiar faces from the world of music.
Most everyone knows about the issue of Shadowman devoted to Aerosmith...
Shadowman #19
...but did you also see Jimi Hendrix in Archer & Armstrong #10 and #11?
There's even evidence in the Valiant Universe that Elvis Presley didn't die.
Instead, he was taken into a Spider Alien spaceship back in 1977.
Years later, he met a barbarian named Aric on that ship...
...and the rest, is Valiant history. (see X-O Manowar #0)
And from the world of movies...Turok #23 had a few characters you might
recognize from PULP FICTION, with the best likeness belonging to a guy who
looks a little too much like John Travolta for it to be a coincidence.
PREMONITIONS
In the Unity crossover, the theme "Time Is Not Absolute" was everywhere.
Did you know that theme was written on a sheet of paper in Solar #7?
That's almost six months before Unity began!
Just before the Unity crossover in the summer of 1992...
Months before Valiant Comics became the most sought-after comics in the world....
A couple years before Valiant was sold to Acclaim Entertainment for $65Million...
And several years before the Valiant Universe was ended...
Valiant villain Toyo Harada was supposed to be talking about himself
in the pages of X-O Manowar #3 when he said, "I NEED NO MORE ACCLAIM."
Eerie, huh?
CAMEO SECRETS
So, Harbinger #10 is the first appearance of HARDCorps
and Harbinger #11 is the second appearance, right?
Not exactly.
In addition to all the other important events in Rai #0,
it is also the second appearance of HARDCorps...
Its cover date is November 1992, the same as Harbinger #10,
and one month before Harbinger #11.
And the first thing we know about Master Darque is from
his first appearance in Shadowman #8, right?
Or did you know that he's the guy inside the limosine at the end
of Shadowman #7?
It looks like the first thing we know about Master Darque is that
he's trying to kill Shadowman...what a surprise.
Did you ever notice that Vintage Magnus #1 is even older than Harbinger #1?
Even though both Vintage Magnus #1 and Harbinger #1 have January 1992
as their cover dates, Vintage #1 has a page devoted to Harbinger #1 with
"Coming in October" above an alternate artwork for the cover of Harbinger #1.
Where's Kris?
WORLD TRADE CENTER CAMEO
Harbinger #2 contains an "actual photo" of the World Trade Center,
overlayed with artwork of the Harbinger kids flying toward the towers
in Dr. Heyward's borrowed car.
The kids find the Harbinger Foundation world headquarters on the 47th
floor of an unnamed NYC building. Makes you wonder if they visited the WTC!
The story timeline indicates the kids visited NYC on June 9, 1991,
and the cover date for Harbinger #2 is February 1992.

valiant didn't have gimic comics, until acclame baught them out.
I loved valiant, but they were PIONEERS in gimmicks. Coupon redemptions, Numbers 0's, foil cover panels, then full wrap around foil covers. Look at Bloodshot #1 for example.
