As for my toy collection, I WILL BE THE FIRST TO ADMIT THAT THIS IS NOT THE BIGGEST COLLECTION ON HERE AT ALL! There are a lot more people on here that deserve more props than me on their collections, somehow mine jsut got linked to all these other sites and is getting noticed... but believe me... there are much bigger and better ones out there on this board.

I like the McFarlane Vash the best.
As for the Kaiyoda Trigun figs, Monev the Gale is excellent. Then probably Wolfwood, then Vash. I don't have an open Meryl. The Gazelle the Peacemaker and Gungrave figs are super sweet too.

As for a website, we had one sort of but it went the hosting site bailed so I just went to photobucket. No reason to set on up now... If I woulda know htis was gonna happen I would have set one up and hosted banners and ads on it that would pay for viewers to the site... 75,000+ views already on this post... I coulda made killing. :D

First: why do I collect?
I'm a cleptomanic... I steal it all... I can't stop. I didn't pay for any of it. :D :p j/k
McFarlane toys really needs to put me on a comp list.

I really like the items I collect. I am an artist and collect comics as well. From the comics I started to buy figures of these characters back when McFarlane started making toys. I have a love for the toys as 'works of art' if you will. I just genuinely like them.
My main collections are Spawn, Star Wars, and the Simpsons... but, seeing as McFarlane toys puts out a lot of cool stuff...I tend to grab a lot of the other stuff as well. I consider myself a completist mostly so if I pick up one figure from a line of figs, I tend to get them all. Especially with the Spawn figures and Simpsons. Star Wars there is just too much so I just get what I like. I have a near complete Spawn collection and a complete WOS Simpsons collection. There are usually only 6 figs to a set on most of McF sets so it's not hard to get them all when they come out. If I don't really care for a certain property I won't get it. There is no compulsion to "have it all" I just get the things that interest me... which I happen to like a lot of different stuff. :) Plus if I come across some stuff on clearance that I wouldn't grab at full cost, if it's cheap enough and I have some interest I'll pick it up.
I bought a house with a basement so I could display my collection. People say it looks like a museum cause it's all set up for an easy walkthrough and view. I like having things displayed nicely. You should see some other guy's displays on here though... some killer ones. I don't collect to inspire others to collect... although a few of my friends have started after hanging out in my basement for awile. You either like the things or not. Most people never really stop to look at them and just think, "Oh, toys..." but if you look at them you can see them as art. That's the way I see them. Toy collecint, for me anyway, is not too time consuming at all. The display pretty much maintains itself...I hardly dust ever. And I just add to it whenever I get new stuff. It's not like I'm in my basement 24/7 polishing and rearranging. Plus, I pick up stuff at the store when I'm out or buy online or trade here. Not much time goes into it at all. This is a great place to get info on what's out and coming out so I jsut have to come here to know what's coming... don't have to spend time looking for info, plus I get Toyfare Magazine every month. I don't feel that I expend a lot of effort on collecting, it's just something I do. Like if I were to go play softball every weekend... it's just something that I like and do in my free time. I think I answered everything you wanted to know... if not, LMK.

Sivart, that is an old Monchichi. I call him Old Chi. I had it when I was little....my mom threw it in the trash like 4 different times but I kept digging him out. The Christmas houses were like $60 each through Bradford Exchange... I thought there were only gonna be 4 like shown on the brochure... but when I got a 5th one I called to ask how many were gonna be released... the lady said it was scheduled for 30 pieces!! :eek: so 30 different ones at $60 each... yeah, I bailed out on that one. Im always looking around my room trying to decide where and how I can put more shelves so I can add more to my collection. I also have thoughts of whether some day I will expand outside my hobby room.

Haha, thanks... I think. :D Spawn, Star Wars, and Simpsons are my three big collections. but there is a lot of others that I find a lot of interest in and pick up as well. I have actually been redoing a lot of my displays etc... these pics are over a year old so I have gotten more stuff since then as well as rearranged a bit. I've put up some glass display cases and cleared some stuff out. I am currently redoing part of the Simpsons room. When I am done I will probably post updated pics. And no, I do not have any Lobo figures. I don't think there are that many made of him really.

Star Wars also started back in around the same time so I was collecting Spawn and SW and then more McF and Simpsons stuff.

I'm no figure collector or have any connection with this kind of hobby. I stumbled across this thread looking for information about the Simpsons DVD Seasons (which I am quite fond of, and which are the only possible items in my posession that could also be found in your basement *laughs*).

Anyway, when looking at your pictures (it took a while to load em), the first thought that entered my mind was "This guy has to be the personification of the comic book guy from the Simpsons!". After looking a little further, I thought "Wow, either he's a social recluse, with no contact to the outside world whatsoever, or he's just plain nuts." lol dont worry, I'm not here to insult you, I'm going somewhere with this, so stay with me...

After reading through all the pages in this thread, probably out of pure interest for this (to me totally unknown) hobby, and after getting to know some facts about you, which you provided quite openly, I must admit that your devotion to collecting these figures really shows in the pictures. It all looks really nice, even to someone who does not know the value of the individual figures. All the guys in here know what they are worth, and what it takes to collect em... I don't! But I have to acknowledge your persistence and devotion :o) furthermore, you do not make the impression of a recluse or a freak, it's actually the exact opposite...

I just have one or two questions, which might be considered 'noobish' among this experienced crowd of collectors ^^ I dare to ask them anyway:

1. What is so special about this open-mouth candyman? He has been mentioned a few times, and...well... I'm just curious lol... Can you show me a picture of it, and maybe tell me what makes it so special? Maybe how much it is worth. It's just out of curiosity, I mean I'm a stranger to all this...

2. Is there an item that you want real bad, but that is so rare it's almost impossible to obtain? Something you are desperately looking for, but can't find? Something you consider your Number-one want item?

3. What does it feel like to see your collection photos admired by ppl from all over the world?
