JUST CHECKING IN

Hey Gang,

I thought I'd write down a few notes today. Usually I just sit at a distance and read some of the stuff you folks post. It is cool to be the perverbal "fly on the wall" at times. That way you all just do what is natural.

I've been busy lately getting geared for the release of our two movie lines we have coming your way. They are Tim Burton's Corpse Bride and Wallace and Gromit. Both of them already have a built in audience because of the creator's past work, and we are hoping they do well enough for us that we can continue to trickle out prouduct for both over the next couple of years. Even if you don't intend on buying any of the product, I recommend seeing both films. They will have lots of fun in both and the visually and sight gags are terrific.

As you have already read on our website, we are also working on the MILITARY line and the new DRAGONS. Both of these are nice to work on because they are 'in-house' products and let us just do whatever we see fit (with some of your feedback out there of course). And if you have seen the home page, I am putting in a lot of hours getting the SPAWN ANIMATION moving along. The recording of the voices are now done and all that is left is to time out all the action and finish a couple of scenes for storboards. Then we will be shipping all you have seen and thousands of pages of other stuff, out overseas to begin the actually cell by cell animation drawing. I'm scheduled to go into LA on Wednesday to meet with the Japanese directors who will be overseeing this project once we ship it out.

The Simpsons stuff is moving along too. And we just began another "IN-HOUSE" project that we will be unveiling very soon to you. The early drawings are all done and we are into the model building part right now.

The new team on the SPAWN COMIC are hitting the ground running as they begin to settle in for a ,hopefully, long and interesting run on this title. In Hollywood, I am finishing writing a script, polishing a TV show we hope goes some place, and have two ideas that studios are looking at. Though, as always, the wheels of Hollywood grind very slowly so we will make sure to really flog the products we know you will be able to see with your own two eyes. As well as give you insight into the process when we do move forward.

As always, I am grateful to each of you for the support you give my companies. I never expect anyone to like all that we do, but instead pick and choose those items that they are interested in. For some, that is and item here or there, and for others it is a stack of toys each year. Both are much appreciated.

As a young boy I remember receiving a book for christmas that had stories and paintings of some of the greats in sports. The last entry in the book was of Roberto Clemente. It talked about him just getting his 3000th hit. I also thought the painting was one of the coolest in the book. One week later, he was killed in a plane crash while helping out others. As a 10 year old boy at that time, he was one of the first people that made me aware of the unfairness of life.

What are your personal thoughts on the relevance of the issue?

they already addressed that issue back before Dion left. the word was that there was a miscommunication with the factory and scheduling because of the missing capes capes. they have a production schedule and if they deviate from that then they push back everything on the production schedule as well. So they had to reschedule those for a time when there's an opening and once they are produced and then shipped overseas to the warehouse they will be put up for sale and then packed with the figure and sent to you if your purchase them.

I just want to be one of your rmany minions here to thank you for producing the coolest f-ckin character in comics.
Hands down Spawn is the sh-t when it comes to comics and toys.
I have alot of spawn figures everywhere around my lil studio and the detail on the lil bastards really inspire me and makes me want to do so much with my lil skills.
Keep rocking them man. Never get soft.

At one point, I finally got sick of Spawn because I over exposed myself to it for many years and since there was nothing better out there, i quit reading/buying comics and toys all together for a couple of years and got into other things,
But I all of a sudden got this weird craving to go out and buy more spawn toys, mainly the ones i missed, like spawn v ....sh-t, :p and the comic books. I still cant touch the other stuff thats out there. Only Spawn. Spawn Spawn Spawn.

I also recently bought the Spawn games for dreamcast and Playstation 2. I skipped the one for Playstation 1 because everyone was about to kick my *** at the shop when I was about to pay for it... :confused:
But yeah, I loved the dreamcast and PS2 version. Especially the PS2 version.
Please consider making another one asap cuz im going nuts here and been beating the same games over and over and im startin to get hungry haha.
Stick the She-Spawn character in there or somethin too. She could've been great for the dreamcast game instead of a playable wolf... eessh.

It's nice to see that you post here once in awhile, Todd. I figured you were checking the feedback periodically, but it's good to see you take an active role in providing updates as well.

Personally, I want to chime in with my two cents regarding the Military line. I've said as much in other posts, but I'll add it here also (as it bears repeating). This line is one of the best products your company has created thus far (in my opinion, of course)! The level of detail is incredible and even though the figures are essentially pre-posed statues, they are wonderful representations of modern military soldiers.

As I'm not one to collect every military figure out there, I have little to compare this line to. However, I am able to compare it to other McFarlane product, and based on that standard the military figures more than hold their own. It was a great decision to create this excellent line of action figures. It has not only rekindled my interest in figure collecting, but has gotten me excited about seeing picture updates on your website just so that I can get a sneak peak of upcoming lines :)

I look forward to Redeployed, 2nd Tour, and any future lines that this series will see!
