I've been out of the loop for quite some time, and this may be a dumb question... but here goes.

Is there any news of the 4th season of the HBO animated series? Has this been discontinued?

I read that Spawn The Animation won't be a continuation of the HBO series, but will it have any connection with the HBO series? You know, will the story happen somewhere in the HBO series or something or will it again be a "Spawn appears in NYC streets, confused, discovers about those lost 5 years, gets angry, is told about his role and his powers, then Spawn goes on a rampage and kick some butts" begining story that we all already heard several times now?

Think so.
But with a lot more focus on supporting characters.

this is good news. the hbo spawn series is my favorite animation, ever. i just got this program from http://psptransfer.com so i can watch my spawn dvds on my psp, which is pretty sweet. i can't imagine the new animations being decent if they can't get keith david back. his voice *really* made the animations for me. at least they have the sense to make it r-rated.

Is the new Spawn Animation going straight to DVD or is it going to be a series on
HBO (or some other non-censored channel)?

I know this question has probably been addressed before but I haven't seen a difinitive
answer yet.

I've been absent on here for a while, but what made it change from a series to a movie?

I thought it was going to be a whole series like the last one was, but now it's a movie instead? (So it will only be like a short story instead of a long series).

What made this change? I think a series could have brought out the story/characters a lot better since it'd last a lot longer then 70minutes or so.

Due to recent problems I can't view the trailer so I don't know what it looks like in motion, but I just hope the animation is improved from the old show.

i am omost 100% positive that keith is going to do spawn's voice, so there's no worry there, it will proly go to hbo first like the orginal serious did then come out later on vhs / dvd *shrug*

70 minutes long, straight to dvd. projected release date early 2006.
mixture of 2d and 3d. i don't quite understand what was wrong with
the 2d CG animation with the HBO series 1-3. spawn is going to end
up like a 3d transformers cartoon. ;[ the story line is what made this
very good, and to not finish it is kind of a wasted effort to start and
unfinish a previous animation series. i felt left hanging. i shouldn't be
too upset because at least another is being done. but this 3 uncut
dvd's i have stacked over here. :spawnskul:

Mark Hammill is Twitch! Score!

Why is that good?

El Dubious Mung

Why is that good?

Because Mark Hamill is an excellent voice actor. For instance, he has done every cartoon Joker's voice. He's been doing voice acting forever.

Thus, they have an A-class guy doing the work, which means it'll be good.

Mark Hamill had the ability with his voice to make The Joker my favourite Batman character..."Batman's gonna fry like a grilled cheese sandwich" lol that line gets me everytime. I don't think Mark is gonna sound like the original Twitch though, I don't why I just can't see him doing that.

If what people here say is true about the cartoon going straight to dvd that would make me very happy. Because Canada seems to get things much later than Americans do. Due to the fact that the American companies have to sell copy's of their product to a Canadian company before it being shown here.

Fair enough. (I haven't seen the batman animated series).

But the bottom line is, I've already got Sam's & Twitch's voices from the HBO series engraved in my mind, so much so that even when I read the comic, I hear those voices doing the dialogue. They were the perfect fit.

isnt micheal jai white doin spawn's voice?

Darth Korig
03-09-2007, 11:26 PM
I'm pretty sure micheal jai white is doing spawn's voice...go to imdb.com for all the details. I love micael jai white's voice, first he does spawn, then he does the arbitor in halo too cool!
Yea same here everytime I read spawn and sam and twitch come into the picture I imagine their voices from the cartoon, same goes for spawn.

Correction: I got Michael Jai White and Keith David mixed up, Keith David is doing Spawn [and he was the arbitor] while White is doing someone I don't know named Barabbas. Here's a link to imdb's page of Spawn The Animation:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0476941/

Me too. However, I trust Mark Hammill.

And no, Michael Jai White is NOT doing spawns voice. If you read the news on Spawn.com it says that Keith David is back for Spawn's voice, and White is doing a bad guy's voice.

Keith David is GREAT for spawn because he doesn't have to do the "batman growl" for the voice. He just talks a little angry, and there you go. This is what turned me off during the batman movies, where they all tried to deepen their voice while being batman. It's worse with Christian Bale, because he has a bit of a lisp.

Michael jai White had to do the growl, and that just made the character cheesy.
