just because a movie doesn't have cutting edge cgi it doesn't need to be remade.

I heard that "The Hills Have Eyes" is being remade. Never saw the original, but was always tempted to rent it.

Is it ok to try to come up with something new instead of remakeing yet another old movie?

I hear someone's (not Dark Castle) remaking The Tingler!

What's going to be weird is the "live action" remake of Mad Monster Party.......

think they'll screw it up? :p

i do not like remakes all that much...just like beefeaster said...but it happens...when i go see a remake i go in with an open mind, and think about it as another point of view...

Remakes are stupid. People today have no respect for the classics and Hollywood has not new ideas.

A great story that was made into a lousy film.
One that deserves a good movie:

Rawhead Rex

The 80's was such a unique decade, you can't remake movies from the 80s, it just doesn't work.

CelticPredator
09-22-2007, 11:21 PM
But you can try and bring that spirit back.....

If FT13 was remade, it would be PG:13.

If you were remade you wouldn't ***** about PG-13 movies so much.

Children of the Corn I think. How dare you put Omen up there! The original was great! the remake sucked hard.

They are already planing on remaking Fiday the 13th. Last I read they are planing on Jason doing all the killing instead of his mom

And here is another remake coming our way.

Horror Remake of the Week: Poltergeist?
by Scott Weinberg | November 29, 2006
Blog Article | Discuss Article
We haven't heard any horror remake rumors for about a week, so here's a new one: "Poltergeist" just might be getting a new-generation facelift for those movie-fans too young to appreciate a movie made waaaaaaay back in ... 1982.

From BD.com: "In 1982 MGM released one of the scariest films of all time, Poltergeist, which was written and produced by Steven Spielberg and directed by Tobe Hooper. The film is of legend, being that it's not only extremely scary, but that it was rated PG (after an appeal from an R). Word has come down from various confirmed sources that the once titled "Poltergeist: Kayeri" is now being retooled as a remake of the original film. Poltergeist, which is about a family's home being haunted by a host of ghosts, is now looking to attach a director.

I've just received official confirmation that the original idea for "Kayeri" will NOT be used for the remake, instead the new film will be a straight-up remake of the first film... pretty much frame-for-frame."

That Poltergeist news is nearly a year old.

And what the hell is with all the thread bumping lately? Confuses the **** out of me.
