Well, you're really missing out because "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" is one of the best 007 films EVER and Lazenby isn't bad at all in it. If I had to pick, I'd say Roger Moore is my least-favorite, but I did like all 5 actors thus far, although I'm unsure about Daniel Craig.

Dalton for sure... but will soon be past by the new guy who looks nothing like a james bond. the new guy looks older then Pierce Brosnan and they wanted to go with a younger guy for the part. thats just sad.

i have seen the new guys other work (including action films) and he is piss poor.

there were alot of better choices out there... i just think they picked the cheapest option out there. Bond fans will be disappointed with the new Bond and i wouldnt expect to see him past this next Bond film. after that they will be looking for a new 007. maybe they will get it right the next time

i don't know why Timothy Dalton is so depised, if he's the closest we've gotten to the literal Bond both physically and psychologically. Maybe it's because the first Bond movie i ever saw was with Timothy Dalton that he's my favorite tied with Sean Connery and followed very damn closely by Pierce Brosnan, if you're wondering how close:

1st Sean Connery and Timothy Dalton
1.5th Pierce Brosnan
2nd George Lazenby
3rd Roger Moore

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/c/c5/Fleming007impression.jpg

that's how Ian Fleming envisioned Bond

http://http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/49/Tim_dalton.PNG

see the resemblance?

I thought Dalton was a decent Bond. The worst is Roger Moore

My rankings
1: Sean Connery
2: Pierce Brosnon
3: George Lazenby
4: Timothy Dalton
5: Roger Moore

I don't think the new guy really has the Bond look to him, but I'll reserve judgment until the movie comes out.

2)Sean Connery
3)Pierce Brosnan
4)Timmy D
5)George Lazenby

The truth.

I agree with what he said; George Lazenby did an excellent job of portraying Bond and "On her Majesty's Secret Service" is easiest one of the best Bond flicks besides "From Russia With Love".

Ironically enough, one of the best Bond movies is also the most unheard of by the casual movie watchers. Hell, even "Casino Royale" and "Never Say Never Again" is more well-known than this movie.

Jonathan Frakes was never James Bond
Yes he was. Back around 84', just a few years before ST:TNG started up, there was a series started up in Canada simply called "James Bond: The series". I believe they filmed about 2-3 episodes, then they lost their backing.

Do you remember another show called "Beans Baxter", about a teenage secret agent? That show actually re-used some of the props made for the defunct Bond show.

Things aren't false because they're not listed on IMDB. I don't know why they don't have it listed...maybe because it was never aired, maybe because they lost their backing, I don't know.
Maybe Frakes kicked up a fuss about it and they buried it.
Does IMDB list TV shows?

GhostinthaMachine

From what I understand Frakes bought the exclusive rights to the episodes that he appeared in.

Ahh, it would seem IMDB does list TV shows, but it states "notable TV GUEST appearences".

This wasn't a guest role, he was the star.

Ghostinthemachine, I knew he had something to do with that! I had this one friend, and he went to a sci-fi con in up-state Washington around '97 or so, and he swore he saw a guy dealing bootleg copies of the episodes from his table. He went back the next day to ask about them, and the guy swore up and down that Frakes (who just happened to be a guest at that specific con) saw them, and demanded he hand them over.

I found this thread while doing a search and was wondering what some of the Craig nay-sayers thought of Casino Royale.

I thought this quote was kind of funny seeing how most people seem to have really enjoyed the movie and Craig's performance. :)

Bond fans will be disappointed with the new Bond and i wouldnt expect to see him past this next Bond film. after that they will be looking for a new 007.

My least favorite Bond is, was and always will be Roger Moore. He's the anti-Bond.

Anyone who votes for George Lazenby hates Bond in general. "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" is still the best Bond flick pre-"Casino Royale" IMO.

The worst Bond flick though came from Sean Connery and it was called "Never Say Never Again." God, watching his droopy, old ass slobber all over Kim Basigner is friggin creepy. You figure he could've at least gotten into shape or at least kept his shirt on.

LOL!

I don't really have a least favorite Bond actor, but I guess, technically speaking, Roger Moore is the weakest one. I still like him as Bond though.

I did watch On Her Majesty's Secret Service not long ago and I found it to be a good movie. It really was a lot more serious than the Sean Connery Bond films. That, combined with how much people liked Sean Connery as Bond, is probably what really made people not like that movie and George Lazenby as Bond. In truth, there really is nothing wrong with him or the movie. Telly Savalas was good in it as well.

Never Say Never Again is an icky movie.
