Watchman by miles. I mean Sin city is great but it didnt do what Watchmen did. Prighty Much Change the Entire Comic Industry.

There's a really good article about "Watchmen" in this week's Entertainment Weekly (the one with the smokin hot Charlize Theron cover). They even got Alan Moore to give an interview!

But as amazing and brilliant as "Sin City" is, "Watchmen" is even more amazing and even more brilliant. Time Magazine just named it as one of the 100 Best Novels of the 20th Centory. That a "mere comic book" would even be considered for such a list shows just how much impact "Watchmen" had, not only on the comics industry, but on the literary world as a whole.

Drinking No. Sin City is great. But For a comic to change a hole industry the way Watchmen did was amazing. And If you want to know what would happend if Superheros were Real just read Watchman.

If you want awesome, fun, light reading material, Sin City's the way to go. But if you're looking for something with more depth and complexity, Watchmen takes the cake.

There is no way to compare the two works. Both are excelent in their own way.

cant agree more, there competely different genres, thats like trying to compare 2001: A Space Oodyssey and The Matrix.

there both works of genius, Sin city wins by a mile on art and Vias Versa when it comes to story & have both changed the comic industry in different ways.

watchmen is definitly on my to read list,
i read a massive spoiler on this board awhile back and ive been trying to smoke enough dope so ill forget it. so far no luck

Sin City will likely end up being the better movie, since the medium translated perfectly into film, but Watchmen is far and away a superior product. And that isnt saying that SIn City is bad, it is excellent also, but Watchmen is just that outstanding.

Oh yeah, I'm sure the Watchmen movie will be god awful.

No they were going to Put watchmen as this big 10 part movie on tv. Wich is beter than just throwing it into the movie theaters. But they droped it and i have no idea whats being done with it now movie wise.

slightly off topic, but anyone have info on the v for vendetta flick? i was a big big fan of the comic. i've got the first issues that dc released, are those worth anything?

It probably will be great, but I dont see how true to the comic, story and artwork it will be in comparison to Sin City, which was stellar.

Probably be great? Have you seen any of the other Moore adaptation ****fests?
