Hello,
In two days, SPAWN (http://www.spawn.com/comics/series.aspx?series_id=1) #150 (http://www.spawn.com/comics/comic.aspx?bookid=1-150-13-0) will be in stores and with it the dawning of a new horizon, as writer David Hine and artist Philip Tan take over the creative chores. Guided by Todd’s vision, and under the watchful eye of Editor-In-Chief Brian Haberlin, the creative team is set to take SPAWN to places he has never been before – some you can’t even imagine, some that have been hinted at for quite some time. But, being that you are here on the SPAWN.COM message boards you are probably already aware of all of this. After all, we have been hinting at the new direction (or, I guess I should say: a renewed focus on the direction which has long been established – the path to Armageddon) and the new characters (The Disciple, Thamuz, and more) for a little while now.
To help ramp up the interest even further I have, for you, a look at something that was a bit of a last-minute addition. Everyone is privy to the fact there will be four covers to SPAWN (http://www.spawn.com/comics/series.aspx?series_id=1) #150 (http://www.spawn.com/comics/comic.aspx?bookid=1-150-13-0)…
One by SPAWN (http://www.spawn.com/comics/series.aspx?series_id=1) creator Todd McFarlane…
http://www.spawn.com/comics/SPAWN/monthly/images/spawn_comic_cover_150a_cl.jpg (http://board.spawn.com/images/board/1021spawnbig.jpg)
…one by longtime SPAWN (http://www.spawn.com/comics/series.aspx?series_id=1) artist Greg Capullo…
http://www.spawn.com/comics/SPAWN/monthly/images/spawn_comic_cover_150c_cl.jpg
…one by incoming SPAWN (http://www.spawn.com/comics/series.aspx?series_id=1) artist Philip Tan…
http://www.spawn.com/comics/SPAWN/monthly/images/spawn_comic_cover_150b_cl.jpg
…and the fourth by IMAGE Comics co-founder Jim Lee…
http://www.spawn.com/comics/SPAWN/monthly/images/spawn_comic_cover_150d_cl.jpg
Each of these covers will be produced in equal numbers, along with a fifth cover.
“Wha… Wha… What? A fifth cover?”
That’s right, there will be five covers in all for SPAWN (http://www.spawn.com/comics/series.aspx?series_id=1) #150 (http://www.spawn.com/comics/comic.aspx?bookid=1-150-13-0).
Months ago, when we were discussing the different things we could do to help commemorate this milestone (http://www.spawn.com/features/spawn150/) issue, one of the first ideas was to have a special limited-edition “sketch” cover. Not a bad idea, but Todd tends to do the vast majority of his drawing with a pen and brush – his pencils are very loose due to the fact he usually inks his own work. So, with that in mind and the eventual decision to have four different covers (pictured above), it was decided to scrap the “sketch” cover idea altoghether.
Then Todd began drawing his cover. His first thought was to do a close-up of SPAWN’s face – a tight image, loaded with all of the details of SPAWN’s mangled features. After roughing out a loose sketch of SPAWN’s head, Todd then decided to go in a different direction, which led to the image we ultimately used for his cover.
That original sketch, however, was still around. Just sitting there. Time went by and the Previews solicitation (http://board.spawn.com/images/board/spawn150ad.jpg) went out and the issue was just about finished when Brian Haberlin came across the sketch. As an extra for longtime fans who have been waiting for #150 (http://www.spawn.com/comics/comic.aspx?bookid=1-150-13-0) with building anticipation, Brian decided to take Todd’s sketch and use it for a special fifth version of the book. Produced in an equal number to the four covers that had already been announced, here now is a look at the fifth cover to SPAWN (http://www.spawn.com/comics/series.aspx?series_id=1) #150 (http://www.spawn.com/comics/comic.aspx?bookid=1-150-13-0)…

Also, this cover is a wrap-around of sorts, as the back contains the penciled version (http://board.spawn.com/images/board/BIGJIM.jpg) of Jim Lee’s cover.
All five will available for you to pick and choose from this Wednesday (Oct. 26th).
Next, for anyone who may have been living under a rock since last Friday, we have unveiled images of our entire McFarlane’s Dragons Series 3 (http://www.spawn.com/toys/series.aspx?series=302) lineup. To check out the photos and read the NEWS (http://www.spawn.com/news/) story, click the link below…
DRAGONS 3 NEW STORY!!! (http://www.spawn.com/news/news2.aspx?id=12712)
Finally, I want to give everyone a heads-up that the REP system will be re-set tomorrow morning. When this takes place, all REP will be set back to zero. All REP threads will be deleted and if I have to delete more than one from the same person, that person’s account will be SUSPENDED.
Have a great day and I’ll talk to you later.

Hiya folks!
Welcome back from the weekend! With the World Series underway, the NFL rolling along and long-awaited return of the NHL, I wouldn’t blame our NBA fans for feeling a little “out in the cold.” To help things out, I’ve got packaging samples for NBA Series 9. I cut and pasted (literally) the sticker bubble onto the flat packaging so you’ll get a better sense of how the packaging will look on the shelf.

NBA 9 will arrive on shelves in late November. That’s all for today!
