As we all know each character in comics have their own symbolism, spawn been black dispair anti-hero suit with eyes that glow...

todd once explained in a letter colum that the suit is meant to be kind of "off balance" kind of like spawn is, as well as the forces that surround him. none of spawns characters are purley good or evil, but rather a random mix (to various degrees) of the 2. the kind of blen of sleek desighn with bulkyness kinda reflects that.

maybe the foot with the gauntlet thing symbolizes his unnaturalness, since it is less a foot and more of a "thing." Meanwhile, his other foot has stayed relatively human. Feet are what you use to support yourself, they're your base, literally what you stand on. Therefor his feet could symbolize his struggle between his demonic form and his once human self.

Joseph Beuys did a similar thing in his piece "How to explain pictures to a dead hare." He had a shoe made of felt on one foot, and a boot on the other. Man vs. Nature.

Maybe I'm looking to far into it.

However, I did like the tower that Cog is building in Hell. Obviously linked with the tower of Babel.

i once heard in a design magazine that symmetry is beauty.

so why would a general of hell, look beautiful?

Plus the off balance thing that represents spawns character is a good point too....

i no longer know whether or not he's going to retain the gauntlet / boot, for i have yet to see spawn 150. should get it in a couple of hours though...
