"In a perfect world, I'd like to put it out next year" the Image founder said, "I'm in the middle of writing it now. It depends how many times I go over the script. I might be quite pleased with it and get some notes from people I trust, but my guess is I'm probably gonna grind this thing over three or four or five times. I'd love to do production in the first half of the year and that means I could get it out in time Halloween of next year. It shouldn't be a long shoot. It's not an overly complicated story. It's fairly contained. Why? I don't have a big budget. I've got to keep the story consistent with the budget. I think we could shoot this thing in two months."

I always thought of this movie as a more urban legend like the Hellspawn comics, and it seems there sticking with that which I think is the best thing they can do with this sort of movie. To make it more like the Ashly Wood one shots, like Blood and Shadows, not some over the top Fantastic 4 kind of thing.

todd said he likes spawn in its different forms of media, to not be carbon copies of each other, so the movie probablly wont be totally true to the comic.
hell sometimes the comic isnt true to the comic
