52 votes.
well, the fan favorite is Greg Capullo as he is the face of Spawn.
Todd McFarlane is second as he is begining of it all
Daniel/Conrad team still with 0 as there was no way to compete with Capullo on the bi-weekly
Short lived Fotos/Jones team with small amount of votes but i think everyone believes they should get their own book.
And newcomer Tan has taken one up on Medina showing that the fans like the new art direction
thats the recap.

how can anyone think Greg wasnt the best?Well, it depends on people personal preferences.
I voted for Greg, but I also really like the work produced by the Nat Jones / Jat Fotos team too, so I can understand why people would vote for them for instance.

Nat Jones And Jay Fotos. They really gave a gritty, and surreal look to hell. Angel shouldn't even be an option here!

i was even tempted to put Marc Silvestri (i.25) and Dwayne Turner (i.76) in there and they only did one shots. Angel had a 50 comic run..i think he deserves to be on there. Not to mention hes in 3rd place anyways.

i personally thought that the conrad/daniels team was the weakest, and didnt really care for it much at all. not that there was anything really wrong with it, but they had a lot of really good competition to contend with.

Todd, without question. Check out Spawn #16 to see Greg's work without Todd's influence. Greg has sinced improved ten-fold, and I think his digital paintings are phenomenal, but I still don't think his pencils are as good as Todd's best.
Todd's cover for #150 is awesome, and the man doesn't even actively draw any more. The Image Batman/Spawn crossover is a great example of top-notch McFarlane pencils. In my view, it's one of the best drawn comics in history.

Todd all the Way. I cant stand the art in Issue 16. Todd made Greg. Without Todd Greg would be Nothing.

Todd McFarlane is the best, he started it all. If Todd ever comes back to Spawn, Spawn would sell almost double the copies.
what book is that, and where can i get it. :spawnskul
there was supposed to be a Spawn/Valeria the She-Bat Crossover back in '93. But for some reasons it never came out.
However this 5-page Preview was printed in the first issue of "Comics Debut"
An unreleased gem ! :)

that's Dwayne Turner, the most underrated Spawn artist IMO

I know. Sadly he did just two issues on the regular run.
But that reminds me asking tod to bring Daniel Illanso back (with Lewis Larosa on art, if he's finished with bad planet. that would definately rock).
And this guy HERE (http://comicartcommunity.com/gallery/categories.php?cat_id=149&page=8) could do the long promised spawn bible.

I think it's way too soon to put Tan as an option even though his first issue has been insanely good.
Let's wait a while first.

a lot of people are saying that greg would be nothing without todd, and though that may be true, that doesn't mean that he can't be better than todd NOW. so are we looking only at the bad times, only at the good times, or both? i voted for greg becuase his style is, in my opinion, the best so far. And i think that any spawn artist in the future will emulate his style.

Yeah Ashley Wood owns the fecal matter out of Hellspawn, and that Metal Gear Solid.... *drools & seizeS* SO GOOD.
Anywhoo, I would probably go for Todd only because he duely noted a good point at Comic-Con last July about his artwork when he mentioned that even though he doesnt draw much anything for Spawn the comic anymore, he draws and does designs and sketches for almost every toy hes ever made, and theres been a lot of toys, so... yeah. Its good that hes not just chilling in his seat making phone calls and telling people what to do for him all the time, he does a lot of hands on work than I previously (pre-Comic Con, I guess) thought.
Id love to see him put out a book of straight up sketches and drawings for a bunch of his toys and unused Spawn ideas and stuff, thatd be awesome.
His storyline work has been kinda shoddy at times but the artwork itself is normally pretty damned brilliant. Good example being Batman/Spawn thing, horrible writing (Batman calls Spawn a 'punk' way too many times to stomach among other shtuff like that) but visualy totally insane.

Greg Cappullo has got some ridiculously awesome shiznit though, so to restate my assumption, its probably a tie but with Todd beating Greg just barely cos he started Spawn's motion in the ocean.

If this was a cover poll, Greg would of course be the cream of the crop easily.
