Anyone here know much about printers? Anyone in the graphics design field? Im looking for a really good printer that i won't have to sell a kidney to afford. I am not sure if i should buy inkjet or laser color printers. Most of the stuff i want to print is digital art/design, but i would also like to start printing some digital photos. Can someone recommend anything. thanks

Epson is a good brand. That is what we use in our Digital department here at my school. Couldn't tell ya an exact price, but they are large enoug to print off 11x17 size images, so I'm guessing that one goes close to 200

I also use mostly Epson, you can pick up an Epson for as low as $60 for the bottom tier of printers, or as much as a few thousand for the very high-end large format. Everywhere in between. I'd reccomend going for a 6 color if you're truly concerned about getting rich colors, I have a 4 color and a 6 color in the studio, and the difference is pretty big.

But more than anything, try and get the best paper you can afford, that has a bigger impact on the print quality than anything else.
