New Guy: Trades or Collection

I'm new to spawn and would like to know which would be better to start from the trades or the collections. Because I'd like to start from the beginning. Also whats the deal with issues 9 & 10 are they non-essential to the story?

the trades are out of print. The collection, therefore, is easier to find.
9 and 10 were left out due to legal issues.

And i'd give you a recommendation to look on ebay for some good deals on spawn comics. i just got 120 comics for $45 off there.
