Looking to get some ideas of 360 games to buy that are coming out in the next month or so. I'm not a hardcore gamer so I'm not always aware of what's upcoming. Mostly I like FPS games....basically the only kinds of games I don't care for are pure fighting games (wrestling games, etc.).

In the next month? I can't give you any suggestions....nothing good comes out what-so-ever. You'll likely have to wait until late january/early february before something worth buying comes out.

Wife snagged me COD3, enjoying it so far.

Its basically COD2 with improvements. A lot more cut scenes which I'm not thrilled about. Graphics are beautiful, sometimes there is so much going on in the game, I have no idea what to look at. Everything is on fire, gernades and bullets flying everywhere, pure chaos.

I'll be able to comment more as I move through the game.

Yes it does and on higher difficulty levels you'll want to go on a murderous rampage it will piss you off so much. I like playing through my games on the hardest difficulty level to of course make things....difficult.

Well on veteran theres this level in COD3 where you have to......

1. Make it into a series of trenches with machine gun/turret fire raining down on you

2. Cross a street where an enemy trench lies on the other side gunning you down

3. Clear those trenches you were just getting fired on from.

4. Go through a 4-part forest piece by piece, tree by tree with no true cover since most bullets will go through trees and you'll likely get hit even when you're behind a rock.

5. You must then storm another series of trenches that the enemy is in control of with tons of machine gun fire.

6. You must then clear a building of nazi's

7. Then outside of the building theres another series of trenches that need to be cleared

8. Last but not least the germans have set up a road block that you've got to take out with a mortar. Oh but heres the great part you can't leave the mortar after you enter it and you can't duck and cover from gunfire while you're in it. So you either take out the road block with 5 germans firing at you or you die.

If you can complete all of those steps you get yourself a checkpoint save.

Now you're probably saying to yourself? Hmm if you take your time that doesn't sound too bad. Well all the enemies respawn, so sure you can take your time to a certain extent but then you've gotta book it before absolutely everyone you killed all of a sudden appears again.

I still want to go through COD3 on veteran, but I can wait.

Have any of you playing Full Auto ever had your 360 just decide not to load up your progress? ... That happened to me tonight. I accidentally turned off the TV and I thought the 360 just kind of wigged out on me because I had left the system to go eat and then came back to it .. and there was a loading screen .. and I had muted the TV, so when I went to unmute the TV, I actually turned it off, and the 360 went to a loading screen at that point ... so I thought it was the 360. Well, after hitting the guide button a couple of times, then I opened the tray ... and then I turned off the 360. Well that's when I realized the TV wasn't on. So, I turned the TV back on ... and somehow in all that I've lost all my game progress for Full Auto. It won't come back up. It's weird. I still have all my achievements .. but none of my progress is showing up. It shows all the tracks locked and that I have 0% of the game complete, and no medals. This ever happen to anyone?

Also for Ruutuufifteen ... I've gained near 1,000 achievement points in the last week and that list of yours still shows me at like 4200 or something like that. I have like 5125 right now.

What is wrong with some people on gears?

Why do people just NOT TALK and try to do **** on their own? It gets so frustrating, I just quit my first game ever because I'm so sick of it. every guy just trys to run up and it becomes a big shotgun fest. I have way, way too many chainsaw kills because of it since its the perfect counter. But GD, I go from games where I have 2 kills through 6 rounds, to having 9 through 4 rounds - all because in the 2 kill rounds, I have no idea whats going on, and in the 9 kill rounds we call out which way guys are flanking, who is going which direction, etc.

If it weren't a team game I wouldn't give too ****s, but God does it get on my nerves. I'd prefer to play with you guys from now on since everyone calls what they want and where they are going.

This is precisely the reason why I loathe ranked games. Chugga and I have talked about it extensively while playing online, and I've voiced my opinion here, as well as during some of those terrible ranked games. In a team game, how can one not communicate? The problem, I believe, is everyone is too damn concerned with getting their stupid achievements. I want to get them, as well, but I'd rather do it while having fun, and not costing my team the game. :mad:

People would actually get the achievements quicker if they worked in teams. Well run teams put down more enemies than any rambo ever will. As for online, I'm about to go on in about 5 minutes so I hope to see someone there.

It's third person like Gears of War. It has vehicles though. IGN is reporting that the aiming controls aren't that great at the moment. I'm going to wait for reviews. There are two demos on live. One for the single player and one for the multiplayer.

It's definitely worth noting this is the third day in a row 1UP's published a story about an upcoming patch for an Xbox 360 game -- next up, Gears of War. We've known an update was coming for a few weeks now, but Mark Rein clarified the situation a bit in an interview with Planet Gears of War, promising the patch "will be some housekeeping" and hopefully arrive before Christmas.
The often complained about VGA glitch, resulting in messed up aspect ratios on non-widescreen monitors, has been fixed, alongside other "small" changes and updates, according to Rein. "I don't want to go into too many details because we have not finalized the update but once we know what made it in, and passed certification, we'll put some news up on our forum which I'm sure will start other passionate threads about what we have/have not gotten around to so far," he said.

Is this the new standard? Should we start accepting the reality of patches coming in the weeks and months following a game's release in order to squash bugs that should have been QA'ed? Sigh. The day I download a patch for a Zelda game is the day I give up gaming.

I've come to find out that has more to do with lag then the weapon itself. I was in a few ranked games a couple of days ago where the host refused to use a shotgun because he'd own everyone with it (supposedly some sort of host rule not to use a shotgun) and I laughed because he really thought he was some sort of rambo. Then all of a sudden our team falls behind and he finally pulled out the shotgun and completely owned the other team.

Even a split second of being off can completely change that weapon around alot.

Well, I've played enough games on the PC like the original Half Life, which had a patch every month. There have also been many PC games that were practically useless out of the box until they were patched. You're telling me you want that garbage to carry over to console games? It's the reason I stopped playing PC games. Just because we've been conditioned to accept this on PC doesn't mean we should accept it everywhere else.

I agree. Though I'm not asking for something to be done perfect everytime out of the box ... but the way game companies are hyping their games so much anymore (it's like an article said in OXM recently, companies want to "event-ize" their games. And they promise a certain date for release, and it gets pushed back and then actually released and then there are problems with it that require patches. That's not good IMO either. Because some games can suffer because they need a patch that doesn't come out until two or three months later. I would rather wait for a game to be done right than to have it on NOV 22ND!!! OMG IT'S HERE!!!!! ... and then get it home and find out it's got some problems online or something like that.

There just needs to be more quality control in games before they get released, just to get it out by a certain date.


And a question for those of you who have played Dynasty Warriors 5: Empires. .... Ummmm ... how do you play this? I got it cheap off the bay a while back and popped it in. But I can't figure out how to do anything. There's no tutorial. Or at least I can't find one. I've tried playing a little just to see if I can get the hang of it on my own and I can't figure it out. The map doesn't really tell me which way to go and anytime I come to an enemy officer I get my arse handed to me. So, yeah. I'm a noob at this whole cheesy Japanese hack and slash genre. I'm just trying to figure out what to do.

With proper testing/100% bug free, start looking at closer to 6 years. Take a look at how often Blizzard releases games - they are almost completely bug free/playable out of the box, but they spend FOREVER between games. Should we have to accept it? No. Are we going to have to accept it as the lesser of two evils? Probably.

My main problem is that most of these bugs are easily found in play tests. How do you not find the mic bug in Gears of War? How do you not find the lag problem in Call of Duty 2? Both of those bugs should've been found long before the game went gold. It's one thing if some obscure bug gets through and they need to patch it later, but most of the bugs that are getting patched are easily found with a little bit of play testing.

So, after 2 years I've finally felt I can have a nice sit down time and play through Halo 2. Just a few things...

1 - Wow, are the graphics hit or miss. Sometimes it can look better then just about any first gen X360 game, and hell, at times it looks better then stuff like Rainbow Six Vegas. But then it just flips into N64 mode and looks like crap. The entire cutscene between levels 2 and 3 looks absolutely amazing, though.

2 - The second level may be the most overlong tedious level in an FPS ever. In Halo1, everyone complained about the Library, but at least you were doing stuff the entire time. The 2nd level in H2 has some amazing parts such as the entire bridge sequence where you have the scorpion and you are blowing ghosts up left and right, and then the entire first part is bland as bland can get when waves of 4 grunts/2 elites just come for like 20 minutes.

3 - I think its the year 2004, right? =p

I loved some of the levels in the fits halo... and I Refuse to sell my halo games... as for halo2...the single player game was ok... but the online mode was like crack for me...

That wouldn't be too bad a price to pay for NHL '07. Speaking of hockey, I completed my first season in NHL2K7 last night, but got none of the achievements. I should've gotten the 5 straight SO achievement, the one for winning the Cup, and for winning both the President's Trophy and Cup in one year. :mad: :mad: Too bad I got nothing. I'm going to delete franchise file, and start a new one---this time, however, I'm simming.

I got a question, I've read that putting your 360 vertical is bad but why? The story mode wasn't an issue for me, other than 1 or 2 little instances that I kept screwing up not understanding what I needed to do - but I don't think I've killed more than 10 terrorists in Hunt. I get bent over time after time.

I've beaten RAAM on insane in SP. It's not easy. Had to tell Dom to stay put, he runs out and gets killed within 2 sec every time. Took me an hour and a half worth of tries.
Did it with the Torque bow and the regular rifle. Took a ton of ammo.

About the Terrorist Hunt in RS- I play this with my buddies a lot. It's damn tough. Although we play on realistic to get the 200 points for each map. Sometimes we set it to low density, other times high. It's pretty hard regardless. Even with 4 people usually just one is left to finish it. I did have a personal best of 19 kills last night on Calypso though...

They made the MP maps really well, seems there's really no spot where you won't get flanked or blindsided from two or three directions. Sure as hell keeps the tension up.

had that one sitting on my shelf for a while, along with R6, COD3, FEAR, Tomb Raider and half of Condemned.

I mean, I knew Gears of War was going to be fun, I just didn't think it would be up to the gameplay level that the original Halo was. It is one of the only two games I've ever played that makes me want to just keep cycling through the game immediately after I've beaten it because it's just so much fun to play, on any difficulty.

I checked out the Lost Planet videos last night on IGN. Game does look fun. Especially when you get to control the Mechs and sled.

My favorite weapon is the "sticky bombs" that don't go off until you shoot them. It would be nice if they included a flame thrower in the game too.

Thought this was a neat little trick....essentially it reads that you can change the clock on your 360 to get more time from your marketplace movie rentals that have a 24 hour viewing time limit.

I went ahead and rented Clash of the Titans because it was under $5, I wanted to check out the service and Harryhausen makes me want to touch myself.

Anyway, I rented it Friday night, set it to download (which didn't take all that long, seems the download servers are working correctly finally, it was the HD version). Started watching it around 10pm or so.

Well first thing's first, you can't stop the movie and resume or use fast forward when the movie isn't fully downloaded (they let you start watching before its finished while you continue to download it).

I didn't know this so half way through the movie I backed out to do something and could only start the movie over from the beginning. "Oh Well" I thought, I'll just watch it tomorrow.

Anyway, weekends been busy with packing and moving and long story short I didn't have time to get back to it until just now, which is about 4 hours after the "24 hour expiration" period.

So I did what any self respecting person would do.

I took off the hard drive, unplugged the ethernet cable, changed the system clock back to about 30 minutes or so since I last had my 30 turned on, reattached the HDD

and voila. My movie that would have otherwise been expired now has 8hrs left.

Supertim- one thing about RS though, you might want to rethink that. After leveling up quite a bit, almost everything you unlock for your head and face cannot be used with a custom head. Real lame. Basically you get two or three helmets. That's it.

You can use a regular head in the game and play around with the stuff to see what it looks like or to stick with it, but to go back to your face, you have to map it again.

Big bummer if you are leveling up to unlock the fun stuff to use on your head.

I was just thinking about this the other day when I went into the ranked rooms for execution and assasination and saw there was only a handfull of rooms available. If we could get together in a public room...and then decide on the specs....one could set it up and the rest would be able to search for it relatively easy. Say, for example, I open an execution room with 9 rounds. Everyone else could search for that specific room (execution, 9 rounds) and find it relatively easy. Probably be easiest to talk about it in a public room first...since on ranked matches...you can't have private slots or invite friends....we would need everyone to find it quickly....since you cannot boot people from ranked games either.

And Primebane...I'm not exactly sure how it works cause I've yet to do it. But he does not need his own Live account. He just needs a separate "profile" to sign in with. It's all for fun...so feel free to join us. Playing "ranked" games with people you don't know has become very frustrating. 90% of the time...no one communicates strategies or the enemies positions. And 80% of the time....your teammates care less about actually winning the round...they just want to get their grenade tag kill.....or there boomshot kill....for the achievement. It sucks. If I don't see a "friends" room going.....I usually don't even bother playing Gears. All it does is frustrate me.

You can't set his account as a friend to you. Basically you sign in and he is the second player signed in under you. He doesn't sign in at all, well not as his account, just as the guest under you.

EDIT: I can explain it better using GRAW as an example. Best thing to do is be in the dashboard, your signed in and his controller is on, but NOT signed in on any accounts. Then fire up the game go to xbox live etc... Then there is a screen that pops up that will ask him to sign in, a box pops up and he COULD choose his gamer tag, but DON'T, use the guest account at the bottom.

The issue with the ranked games becomes the "True Skill" rankings. Some of us are ranked higher than others, so the game choices will be semi-limited. I figured assassination was the way to go, because not many of us have played it much. The bigger issue will be getting all into 1 room, and knowing when the host has set it up. I can do the hosting, and I'll send out a message just before I start the hosting. I figure we'll do this:

MAP: Whatever
ROUNDS TO WIN: 5

So, just search for an assassination game with 5 rounds, and you should see me as the host. When you get the message from me, don't even bother to listen/read it, just start searching. I can always drop the room if I get people in it that aren't part of our little "clique".

I'm going to tell KillaB & POR2GEE, as well.

Yep. The countdown mission has been patched. Only gives 50 points now, and no glitching through the elevator door to get enemies not to spawn.

People have used this for countless hours to rank up. It was 200 points for about 43 secs.

Want to come out and say sorry for what most viewed as do****bag antics last night with Gears of War. Heres the problem, when Oaktown was hosting I was in the zone. I had finally got a shotgun that actually shot when I pulled the trigger and actually took peoples faces off when I pointed it at peoples faces. I mean it was like when you find that woman you really care about and she loves you too. It's a match made in heaven.

But before we move onto the second part let me get this out there really quick, my connection blows, so it's a downright miracle that oaktown all the way down in florida was able to give me a stable connection....when the games flew all the way over to the other coast I'm usually boned. Remember how you west coasters were feeling last night when your shotguns were malfunctioning? Well same thing happens over here the other way around. So (no offense to keith or cory because I know how it feels) but when the host switched over I had 2 choices....go head to head with people who were going to outgun me and make me want to bang my head against a wall for the next 3 hours, or I could try my hand at tagging the hell out of people with grenades and get my skill level up for when I go to ranked matches.

I went with the grenade tagging and while I know I probably annoyed a couple of people I'm sorry for that, but the alternative was for me using the shotgun for the rest of the night and getting so pissed off that I'd want to go out and uppercut an orphan so they could feel the pain I feel with that damn gun.

It's no big, Chugga. I would like to think that we never take the games personal. While I must admit, the grenade tagging is a pain in the butt (I even contemplated removing them from the maps when I took over hosting duties), I understand that people must learn to find the counter to everything. I suppose the annoying part is when a person does the same thing each and every game. But, given the horrendous lag issues last night, you had to do what you had to do....right? :D

I had never felt so frustrated until last night, in those first few rounds. When I switch to the East Coasters' team while oaktown was still hosting, I felt blessed, since now I was on a team that would at least get credit for point blank shots, since you guys weren't getting hit by the lag. However, when you guys told me to take over the hosting, I had a feeling the shoe would switch feet, and it did. Alas, it's water under the bridge, and I know we'll be playing again at some point. Admittedly, though, it is due time I take a step back and get some Rainbow Six: Vegas in (Yes, I've been saying that for a month now, since I got the game on its release day :p :p ).

The strangest part of all was that we had more fun in ranked games after you all left. KillaB, PrimeBane, and POR2GEE all went through 3 ranked games, and, for the most part, I always had great teams. It's too bad PB's first ranked experiences weren't as good, since his 3rd game he played gave him a group of guys who bailed at the first sign of danger. Punks. :mad: :mad: At least we negged them with bad feedback.

I was talking more about after you had signed off. I basically stopped using guns after that. I was in the same boat you were...my shotgun just wasn't getting the job done what-so-ever. It sucks because the shotgun is really a go-to weapon but it's one of the worst developed weapons in the game. I mean when you are on with it you are ON...and when you're off as you put it last night...you want to break the game disk in half.

The entire problem with Gears is weapon balance, at this point. The lancer is practically useless in multiplayer, where it owns in single player. The only thing useful with the lancer is either chainsawing or having 3 guys all shooting someone at once.

Grenade tagging is a pain in the ass because too many people try to do it for achievements and alot of the time it just gets you killed as well. It's fun but it gets on my nerves.

The lag issues can really, really frustrate the game. I haven't played in like 2 weeks since my last experience was so sour. I've been having fun with Madden and the equally as frustrating Halo 2 single player, while my roommate has been cursing the buggy as **** Rainbow Six Vegas which he accidentally beat today.

It's no big, Chugga. I would like to think that we never take the games personal. While I must admit, the grenade tagging is a pain in the butt (I even contemplated removing them from the maps when I took over hosting duties), I understand that people must learn to find the counter to everything. I suppose the annoying part is when a person does the same thing each and every game. But, given the horrendous lag issues last night, you had to do what you had to do....right? :D

I had never felt so frustrated until last night, in those first few rounds. When I switch to the East Coasters' team while oaktown was still hosting, I felt blessed, since now I was on a team that would at least get credit for point blank shots, since you guys weren't getting hit by the lag. However, when you guys told me to take over the hosting, I had a feeling the shoe would switch feet, and it did. Alas, it's water under the bridge, and I know we'll be playing again at some point. Admittedly, though, it is due time I take a step back and get some Rainbow Six: Vegas in (Yes, I've been saying that for a month now, since I got the game on its release day :p :p ).

The strangest part of all was that we had more fun in ranked games after you all left. KillaB, PrimeBane, and POR2GEE all went through 3 ranked games, and, for the most part, I always had great teams. It's too bad PB's first ranked experiences weren't as good, since his 3rd game he played gave him a group of guys who bailed at the first sign of danger. Punks. :mad: :mad: At least we negged them with bad feedback.

Yeah I know I kept going back to them but they just kept working. There was one round we won based solely off of grenade tags. I felt like I was rolling 50 feet last night and just couldn't get caught in the blast radius.

As for ranked games I'm not really against them as much anymore. I just never go into a ranked game thinking i'm going to win...I go in with the thought I'm going to do as much damage as humanly possible. That way when you actually win you are excited and when you lose on the upside you've dealt as much damage as humanly possible. You set your expectations low as hell and you'll do a happy dance when someone actually uses their mic for strategy.

Want to come out and say sorry for what most viewed as do****bag antics last night with Gears of War. Heres the problem, when Oaktown was hosting I was in the zone. I had finally got a shotgun that actually shot when I pulled the trigger and actually took peoples faces off when I pointed it at peoples faces. I mean it was like when you find that woman you really care about and she loves you too. It's a match made in heaven.

But before we move onto the second part let me get this out there really quick, my connection blows, so it's a downright miracle that oaktown all the way down in florida was able to give me a stable connection....when the games flew all the way over to the other coast I'm usually boned. Remember how you west coasters were feeling last night when your shotguns were malfunctioning? Well same thing happens over here the other way around. So (no offense to keith or cory because I know how it feels) but when the host switched over I had 2 choices....go head to head with people who were going to outgun me and make me want to bang my head against a wall for the next 3 hours, or I could try my hand at tagging the hell out of people with grenades and get my skill level up for when I go to ranked matches.

I went with the grenade tagging and while I know I probably annoyed a couple of people I'm sorry for that, but the alternative was for me using the shotgun for the rest of the night and getting so pissed off that I'd want to go out and uppercut an orphan so they could feel the pain I feel with that damn gun.

Like Cory said, it's part of the game.

However, I did find it frustrating that you used it all the time, espeically in a semi-friendly game. I don't get to play online as much as I like and getting tagged time after time after time didn't make for the most enjoyable time that evening. :( But there are no hard feelings. :)

Hopefully the damn patch arrives soon and these lag issues go away so everyone's weapon's are equal. :)

Yeah. At the end of the game, you are supposed to do something, go to a door, and then fight a boss, without spoiling it too much. Well, if you just run to the door first and get the checkpoint, if you die while doing the next thing, you warp past that really hard part and end up just having to fight the boss. Hence, he beat it even though he skipped one of the hardest parts of the game.

I might be mistaken, but Marvel: Ultimate Alliance seems easier than X-Men Legends. Sure, there is a bit more variety in how the boss fights take place, but it just doesn't seem as difficult. That's not to say X-Men Legends was hard as Hell, but it did seem like those 2 games were harder than MUA is.

The wheel is way too much money for me .... isn't it like $149? - that's outrageous. If I had that much to spend on an accessory I'd much rather pick up the HD-DVD drive and I'm a huge racing game fan. Plus, it isn't really wireless as it has it's own power supply that has to plugged into the wall, right?
Correct me if I'm wrong - it's just kind of what I've heard, I haven't actually researched the product.

The steering wheel is a bit pricey, but when you compare it to previous wheels that were released in the past, it is a much better quality wheel.

I don't see what the big deal would be about it not being completely wireless either. The main thing is that it doesn't need to be plugged in the console. That is all I care about. And if I feel real lazy, I just won't plug it in the wall, it will still work, you just don't get the force feedback.

Can't do it...but I know exactly what you're talking about. I've definitely had it happen to me before in ranked games. It's almost as if they're using a cheat of some sort. I mean...the guy would just basically run right up...didn't matter what I shot him with....hit me once with the gun....I get stunned.....smack me a second time with it...I'd go down....then he'd hit me a third time and kill me. No matter what weapon....shooting or melee...I couldn't stop this guy from doing it. I could have the chainsaw running...waiting for this guy to run at me...and it wouldn't matter......it's almost like the game recognizes and counts that type of melee first and applies it.

Yeah theres not many things more annoying then seeing a guy with a pistol equipped and he has no idea you are around him. Fire off a shotgun blast that doesn't even phase him only to have him turn around and knock you on the head 3 times and die.

But that doesn't really even bother me nearly as much as when you are in a close quarters fight shotgun/chainsaw and you are plugging shots into the guy with the shotgun, he's not even bothering with the idea of shooting you just patiently waiting until the game glitches out and allows him to raise his chainsaw and after plugging a good 3-4 shots into him he's officially chopping you in half now.

Lately...I've even been going back and replaying certain levels on Insane level just for the heck of it....when I have no one on my friends list on.

Cory....I found that last disc in MUA. Had to find it's location from some internet guide. Glad I did. I would have never found it. It's off to the side of a bridge...you can drop down/fly to it. But it's in the snow....and against the white background....you can barely see the disc. I would have never found it on my own. Now...my next mission is a bronze in every one...so I can unlock SS.

me too (Gears), just not my thing. Couldn't wait to get through and beat it on casual difficulty just to see the ending so I could trade it in for FIFA '07. For me, the worst part of Gears was the stupid Kryll and blowing up propane tanks all the time in the middle of the game just to stay in the light, I don't think it was necessary and it made it pretty difficult for me. There was about 4 or 5 sections that I had to repeat over and over and over just to get the next checkpoint, sorry but that's not much fun and it's exactly why I don't enjoy games like that. I know the real prize of the game is the multiplayer aspect but, again, I suck at this stuff and certainly don't want to get beat down by a bunch of guys who actually know what they're doing - not once did I even figure out how to "curb stomp", I could never get it to work, could never kill anyone with the chainsaw either - by the time I actually got it fired up and got in close range I was already dead. I really suck at these FPS' and 3rd Person Shooters and I can't even figure out why.

Well, that depends on his tv. If it has a native res of 1080p and a VGA connection, go with the VGA. Otherwise Component will do just fine.

There are rumors of an HDMI connection at some point in the future.

Son of a biatch!!!

The day after my warranty expired I ripped open my console and voided the warranty (well I voided this new extended warranty).

Oh well, this console seems to be going strong. (my second one). Probably gonna change out the back fans with ones that are quieter and move more air. I'm sure that will help extend the life of it.

For sure a fun game. I think the first battle you walk into after the short training thing blew my mind away. I think you crawl over a wall or walk over a hill and when you look out in the field and see the chaos, I was just blown away. Sorry, actually I think its after you ride on the truck first.

EDIT: I do have some frustrations though with your own AI men. I've been pushed so many times into the line of fire, or can't get out of the line of fire cause they are in the way.

I never played COD2 but i picked up COD3 and i really really like it... When I'm sick of gears I will usually throw it in. Online games are crazy as well. 12 vs 12 teams is crazy you basiclly spawn run 3 ft and get shot... it's a lot of fun.

I randomly got the throwing grenade achiement...it is fun picking em up and tossing em back

I'm having a hard time getting my network security set up. My router's site tells me nothing or at least I haven't found it yet. Do I NEED to have my network secured in order to get up an running on LIVE?

Also, F.E.A.R. must have ridiculous achievements. I beat the game and only got 40 out of 1000? weak.

Gears of War, Call of Duty 3, Deadrising, and Call of Duty 2 are all good games. Some games to stay away from are The Outfit, Gun, Kameo, Bomberman, and Superman Returns.

Yea, except Kameo was actually a pretty damn good game. But, since it's none of the sports you mentioned...nor third/first person shooter...nor horror...you may or may not like it. But, it was still a rock solid game.

yeah, if you mean the link to http://live.tommccann.net/ i had that one bookmarked already. But I have a Netgear router and he only posts instructions for D-Link and Linksys.

I got it now, bro... but getting connected to LIVE is turning out to be a very confusing experience so far :o

if I have the wireless adapter do I need the supplied ethernet cable from the box? It seems like I should be able to connect the wireless adapter to the console and it would pick up the signal from my router

if you have a wireless adapter and a wireless router you should be good to go...

I would however recommend you get the cable and plug it in...your signal might drop with the wireless

I recommend what Lord Magneto says here, as well. I have a wireless router, but I usually choose to go with a direct connection, since I don't want to spare any bandwidth. In some games, that drop in speed can be the difference between living and dying. :D

I got 360 today and Madden with it. I am having a problem with Madden. Whenever i am on offense, right when i get to the line, the play is automatically being displayed, and then i cannot snap the ball. Not once have i managed to snap the ball. It's mentioning something about "Coach's Cam", but i am not sure if that's because i am hitting something, because i cannot find anything to change the camera view or anything. So if anyone knows what is going on, please let me know. Thanks a lot and Merry Christmas.
