Your best bet to boost your driving skill (IMO) is the building Cowell occupies in Shai-Gen territory. Take a vehicle upstairs, and drive continuously around the circular upstairs area. You'll get a good amount of driving boost from killing all the continuously spawning enemies there. :cool:

I was on last night playins some R6.....even got booted from a match because I was killing too many people (and the host was on the other team).

I got like 4-5 kills going over to their base. Then I got killed. So I went to what is commonly called the "glitch window" and took out 4 guys....then got booted.

I don't know why it is called the glitch window. It's not a glitch. A glitch is something WRONG with the game not something that is intentionally part of the game. Just because it is hard to kill the person in the window doesn't mean it is a glitch.

You can either snipe them or you can sneak them from behind. Just because it's not easy doesn't mean you should boot someone from there.

you can only get 4 stars. but after you get the fourth one, your abilities still go up numerally. I have 4 stars on driving and 17. but my agility is maxed out at 4 stars then a "--" to simulate just past 99

Man I have a long way to go. I just cleared the first island last night. I've only hit 2 stars on like 3 of the abilities so far. :o

well i am hooked on crackdown. for the secret orbs i would assume 100 per island right? as for the agility orbs wow i have a long way to go. although i broke the 150 mark today and finished off the mexicans not bad for 8 hrs work

The orbs are not evenly divided up. Most are on the "Mexican island" Than Volk, after that the "Asian Island", and least on the Agency Island. Don't forget about there. I believe there is a total of 10-15 agility and hidden orbs there.

Def Jam Mini Review by Smbdyfnkillme (who bought this game during a moment of stupidity)

Graphics: Some of the best graphics on the 360. Every rapper looks exactly like they should. The backgrounds have some great details and the amount of destruction you can do to the environment is incredible. You often have to break stuff just to find other hidden environmental hazards.

Sound: Mostly mainstream rap music. If you listen to the radio, you might like it. Otherwise, you'll hate the music and quickly use a custom soundtrack (which gives you achievement points). If you played the other two games, you know what to expect. I think the music is horrible.

Gameplay: Ouch! What happened? The game is much faster than the demo, especially if your song is playing. However, the game has no flow to it. It's hard to block any strikes and it's very difficult to grab anybody for a throw. Strikes break all grapple attempts so every game turns into a button mashing fest. You end up throwing strike after strike while trying to get 1 or 2 grapples in. Very repetitive. Wrestling moves are still here, but you'd be lucky to ever get more than a few off per match against a human opponent. Taking away four player matches was a mistake.

Story Mode: You know the drill. You try to create your own record label and you need to recruit artists. To recruit them, you have to do favors such as beat up paparazzi and shady music promoters. You also have to promote their albums and give them random cash whenever they want it. It has a decent story, but you'll only want to play through it once.

Create a player: Almost as good as the Tiger Woods create a player. You won't be able to make yourself to exact specifications, but you can come pretty close.

Online play: Don't bother unless you want a button mashing fest. The lag makes it impossible to counter any strikes. It's also nearly impossible to grapple anybody because the lag throws your timing off. It boils down to punch, kick, throw, change the song, repeat.

Overall: I'd give it a 7/10. Def Jam: Icon has major problems, but they don't stop the game from being fun. However, if you're a huge fighting game fan, don't buy this game. The total lack of strategy involved in the fighting will just upset you. I wouldn't say that I wasted my money, but it's also not worth $60 for most people. You'd be better off playing Def Jam: Fight for New York on Xbox or PS2.

Yes, I was at Best Buy and I had a little extra money so I figured I would buy it. It's average, but I've bought other games that I thought were worse such as Dead Rising.

Welcome to the club on MLB2K7. What I can't figure out is how to rob any homers myself. Every time I try, my guy just runs into the wall and falls down. At least when you dive for a fly ball, an icon pops up to let you know that you can dive now. I can't figure out the timing, but the computer perfects it every time.

From the 2 playthrough's I've done vs. a friend, it already felt much, much better than FIFA 07.

It also looked much better, not nearly as blurry.

Gonna have to pick it up, it seems.

Nope. What you get in the demo is exactly what the final game is like. Really, the only problem I have is the crappy fielding camera. I keep screwing up fielding ground balls.

Nah, UEFA Champions League is an EA sports game - it has the same licenses as FIFA as far as I can tell.

If you like the FIFA 07 gameplay, it is the exact same engine but is a bit more refined. Not perfect, by any means, but notably better.

you know i think they might respawn because twice when i was playing tonight i could have sworn that i had already been there to pick them up. but then again it's 3 in the morning and i could be imagining things. as for advice check where you fought the "bosses" might go easier when your not being shot at.

def head back to all the bases where u fought bosses.... i found a bunch in the volk areas... also i found about 5 lastnight where all those freight cargo boxes are by the docks in the volk map.... what im also doing now is running around the very edge of all the islands...ive found a few on the far edges as well...mostly in los santos... im prolly going to head back there tonight and see if i can find somemore

do the roof top races, those take you around a lot of orbs. also, just climb building youre not sure you have, and look in between them, behind signs, etc. point of advice, dont waste your time on the bridges, there are no agility orbs on them.

It was damn ******ed though! I had a guy who was concerned about his drinking water and how Honda's plant would not affect it. I didnt mean to laugh, but I told him that the plant will not use much chemicals and none that would not have an effect with his water. Then I got an Al Gore fan going off about pollution,and then I had a reporter ask me a question about recent birds dying in Minnesota! It turned into a press conference.Because I guess they found out where I am from,I told the reporter..I have no comment and she asked why and I said I didnt know we had birds dying in Minnesota. :) probably, not the best thing that I came across as a smartass but come on! I had lunch with a city rep. who just ripped the hell out of me for supporting Honda and I told him 8 times, I was just a consultant. He did not get the logic of where I was coming from.

About Crackdown. It is very addicting. It is fun to try and get your stats up. Although I have a feeling that once you do it can get pretty boring, but I havent gotten to that point yet so it is still a blast.

Naw, I've always been more of a Rainbow Six person. I tried the first 360 G.R.A.W., but it wasn't really for me.


I still can't get over the "Superman" HR robs in MLB2K7. Perhaps I'm being overly critical of it, but it just seems over-the-top that so many outfielders for the CPU do it with little to no effort at all. :rolleyes: I think it's time to go back to Oblivion again, full-time. All I have to do in Crackdown right now (At least until the DL content hits) is the road races, the stunt markers, and the commandeer 100 gang vehicles. Other than that, I've more or less finished the retail part of the game.

Anyone going to at least rent the new TMNT when it hits (Based on the newer animated show, not the classic Konami/arcade game)?

I know what you mean about the CPU being able to rob like crazy. But I've noticed that it depends on how good the OF's are. Carl Crawford and Ichiro robbed HRs from me, but I've noticed that a guy like Alex Rios couldn't bring it back.
The thing that kills me is the range of the infielders and how often their diving snags work. I've been robbed in the hole at SS so many times. But still a fun game and I'm still addicted to it.

Ah, I stand corrected (again)! I originally thought the animated show was based on Eastman & Laird's old comics (Not the stupid movies of old, nor the corny animated show of my younger days), but then found that was wrong, too. Oops. :p

Good news!! The 4 red lights are gone. The bad news my system still freezes after just a few mins of game play. I took the hard drive off and played a game and it still froze. So they narrows it down from the drive shot. I'll call customer service later after I've seen 300 today. I checked the serial # and it was made in May of 06; I hope the extention covers me because I don't really want to go buy another 360 system.

the lights on your xbox are some sort of code depending on which ones light up and i think in what order but i am not sure. but yeah if you get the three lights your system might be toast.

if you have a solid ring of red lights it means something's not hooked up properly
it would most likely be the AV cable

if you have 3 quadrants of red lights it means there's a hardware malfuntion and your system is probably dead or will soon be dead

if you only have one red light it can mean several things, examples would be: your system isn't getting enough power for some reason, a component inside your console failed to boot up when you turned it on, a few other things could be happening also, it gives you an error code to refference

So, anyone get GRAW 2? I got it on Friday and it's pretty addictive. The graphics are amazing and the lighting they use are really nice. I wanted to finish GRAW 1 first but can't stop playing GRAW 2. Haven't had a chance to go online yet though, but so far this game seems great. The only bad thing is that since UbiSoft used the same engine as GRAW 1, when your character reloads the magazine still stays in the gun and you only get the hand movement of "reloading", big turn off for me.

I rented Def Jam: Icon with a free rental coupon tonight when we took some of our Blockbuster Online movies back to the store (Along with my "free" rentals from returning the online movies to them), but I never got to my system tonight. I'll have to wait until tomorrow. :o

Oops---I never did play it yesterday. After getting back on track with Oblivion lately, I finally completed the Fighters Guild questline yesterday, and got started with Lucien & the Dark Brotherhood. Outstanding quests.

I have a question, though-----Has anyone had any glitches with ANY of their homes/guild spots "eating" their weapons &/or apparel? I had my dresser/cupboard in the Arch-Mages tower "eat" my spare weapons since the last time I had loaded the game. I lost a few enchanted swords, as well as my beloved Staff of Worms. Man, that thing was fun for laughs. I never had this issue in Morrowind (in fact, I left stuff lying around on the floor of my strongholds in that game), and this shocked me. I'm a bit pissed, but not too much. It makes me not want to leave stuff stashed any longer. :mad: :(

Gears on hardcore is fun a bit more challenging and insane just down right pisses a guy off. i have to finish act's 2-5 on insane still find 2 more cog tags and finish up the ranked achivements
i'll have to get back into marvel UA was fun but i couldn't figure out what to do in the stark building. (yeah me not smart)

I got it by running up to the car they were sitting in and jacking them. I don't think it counts if they exit but I could be wrong. The Agencys SUV is the best for just about all of the stunts/driving achevements, after you have leveled up a couple of times with your driving, you have far more control with the SUV while airborne.

The gang car has to have someone in it---when you put your cursor over the car, it should flash red.

If you have the Agency SUV, and 4 or max driving, it's easy. Just set up the long bed diesel with the "ramp" trailer, and you should get it with no problem. I did mine in co-op, setting up the ramp truck on the beach.

Don't bother finishing the story mode. I just beat it today and it was a complete waste of time. I've already sold it. The fighting is terrible and I don't ever want to play it again. On to God of War 2 for me.

Well I am getting there on Crackdown. I have maxed out my strength and explosives stats. I have about 74 more green orbs and 180ish hidden orbs left. I have my work cut out for me. I had a good time playing with Keith last night. Although there are a few things that I just cant get done. I cant seem to do the long jump to get the car stunt achievement. I for the life of me cant get the shot putter achievement I have thrown things from buildings from the ground jumping. I can never seem to get the achievement. I still also need to do the pop 20 tires on gang vehicles for the rampage achievement.

If you go to the top of the Shai Gen building with the long elevator ride and toss anything off the top of it, you'll get the shot put achievement easily. :)

I got in a car and Cory tossed me over the side and he got it. I couldn't get over that damn bump outside the windowed area. I think I got like 4 front flips in but the car exploded like 2 seconds after landing.

I got my "popped tires" sub-achievement outside of Diaz's hideout, after stacking up a ton of the gang cars in there next to one another.

Not too sure why you would want to do that other than the fact you get 600 points instead of 300 if you beat them. There isnt an achevement for it or anything.

Terrorist hunt on realistic set to high density set to LVU Campus... easy easy 600 points... grab a shield and get some points.

Of course, the achievement is inaccurate, you actually have to do them solo, rather than co-op/splitscreen.


And Tat, if the maps hit, I'll let you know. It might be what I need to get me drawn back in (Other than having more time, and completing Oblivion). :cool:

Seriously, TMNT is hard for one person. Granted you have unlimited lives, but that game is a pain to play on your own!

I'm gonna try it on live today.

I can't wait for guitar hero 2. I have the ps2 version already, but would like the 360 version w/ the possibility of downloadable songs! :)

That's what I thought. Ya, I remeber reading that Bullet Witch had a Devil May Cry feel to it. So I thought maybe it would have been a sleeper. But after youre review, I wasnt interested in it anymore..........

The 2 major achievements websites say this, as well. Those damn things can be hard enough with teammates, let alone by yourself. Perhaps the "stay at home" (sitting in 1 place) strategy is the way to finish them alone, though.

the best way i've found to do them alone is to equip the shield and the Glock. The Glock is an automatic pistol and you'll have to reload every 2 trigger pulls or so since the clip empties faster, but it's unlimited ammo so blast away

or you can calso equip the Raging Bull or Desert Eagle, but the auto effect w/ Glock is nice

You know, I never did use the shield/pistol combo before, because I understood that the pistol kills w/shield didn't count toward the pistoleer achievement. However, since I got that achievement ages ago (When I first got the game), I don't know why I never thought to just do that to get my kills. Same here, I was like how am I going to split screen with only 1 controller. I got all of them done up to the Library. I keep getting killed there. So I have the Library, Campus, Research Labs and Streets left. I have it on Low so there is like at most 25 people on the map. I pretty much breeze threw them with that setting. Avg about 2-6 minutes per level.

i haven't completed them all because I haven't had the time, but I was able to complete 3 maps by myself using that technique. The only downside to that is that it's more difficult to use your frags or incendiaries to get those big groups, but that's where the nicer pistols come into play
