Mighty praise for this game, man! I'm approaching it with hesitation, because I'm not sure this game will be as good as any of the Elder Scrolls games. Of course, my system probably won't be back by then. :rolleyes:

I've got 2 suggestions for you. 1 look up info about the Elite system and see if you'd like to get that instead. If I were in the market for an Xbox360 right now I'd without a doubt spend the extra $80 and pick it up in a week or so when it comes out.

The second suggestion is regardless of what system you end up getting the extended warranty isn't a bad idea. This is coming from a guy who's had 3 Xbox360's fail on him. The newer manufactured Xbox's are supposed to be more reliable but it's up to you whether or not you believe that or not.

I'll tell you right now the extended warranty makes more financial sense then the intercooler.

My only suggestion is to buy an extended warranty with it. I love the system but I'm on my 3rd one. Best Buy is great. Just bring it in and walk out with a new one. Best $50 I ever spent.

For me the big hard drive is a necessity. I've got a 20GB hd (which really equates down to a 12-13gb) and over the course of the last year and a half I've worked it all the way down to 2.7gbs. Whether it be saved game data, patches, expansions, downloadable content, custom soundtracks. If this system is going to be around for 5+ years I simply won't have the hard drive space to make it work.

To top it off I'm just a huge fan of HDMI and the color black. I like the sleek look that blends in with the rest of my components and HDMI is such a god send. No more fiber optic cables, no more of that green, red, blue, etc. It's simple, easy, and I like it. Is it worth the extra $80? Probably not, but at least in my opinion if I were in the market for a 360 as of today I would personally buy that. May not be the smartest choice for you, maybe you don't have enough HDMI slots or maybe you don't really care for the black components or maybe you don't plan on saving a ton of stuff. But for me it's definately something I'd want.

Oh man, has anyone seen whats going on with Too Human? It was the game that got absolutely trashed for being a buggy, 5 frames a second mess at E3 last year - then the president of silicon knights basically came out and said "yes, it looked and ran like **** and I hated having to show it - I promise it will be awesome". Now it's got another year under the hood and is slated to come out this fall and it looks (and sounds) awesome - apparently part Diablo, part Mass Effect, and all based in a bizarre Norse Mythology meets Future Technology world. Not to mention Online co-op with 4 players, much like diablo, and lots of items to collect, and a huge story spanning at least a 3 game trilogy.

The original concept was written in 1997, so this has been in the works a long, long time.

Here's hoping it turns out as good as the premise sounds, it has instantly shot up to being in my top 5 most anticipated for the year.

you can do a few things... you can right click on it and do save image address then go into your user cp and add it to your sig...or you can save it to your desktop of ur computer... then upload it to your personal image hosting site then save the image address and load it into your user cp sig info

Even if I found an Elite somewhere before the 28th, I'd be tempted to (but probably wouldn't) leave it on the shelf, solely because I want to get one at GS for the $250 360 Premium trade-in credit...Of course, if I am unsuccessful at GS, I'll head over to BB or WM asap. I really don't see the Elite selling out immediately...at least I hope it won't. Most kids and uber nerds either don't have the money or spend too much of it on anime and porn.

could just be being impatient, but truth be told, i never got an email either. What I did was call up 1-800-4MY-XBOX and gave them my reference number and they looked into it and told me exactly what was going on with it and also gave me my tracking number.

Maybe give it a shot. They can at least update you on its status I would think.

i don't think you can do that unless you buy a copy for your self i.e on your Hard Drive and buy a copy for the Memory card

GS said that the coupon would be handed out in store on 4/29.


My local GS manager said he only got 20 coupons, so I guess it'll be first come, first serve.

He also said that even if the store didn't get 20 Elite's, that whoever was there would get the coupon and could keep checking to see if the store gets anymore in stock. The coupon expires 5/27/07, so there's a little time.

Went to Wal-Mart during lunch to pick up some stuff and thought I'd pop into the electronics section "just to see" if they had any Elite's.


There were 4 of them in the case and I called over an associate and said I'd like to purchase an XBOX.

She said which one? I told her the one in the gray-ish box. (I thought the box was going to be jet black, but it's apparently dark gray.)

She unlocks the case and pulled one, then locked the case and took the console to the register.

I come around the other side to pay while she rings it up.

He comes back and says the store is "re-doing mods" and this item is scheduled for Sunday.

I said, "well the console is on the sale floor, so the item is available for purchase."

He replies, "it's on the floor yes, but we're not permitted to sell this until Sunday."

I come back to say "you're telling me that the XBOX on the counter in front of me & is out on the sale floor is not for sale, despite the error of putting it out for customers to purchase?"

"The register said 'sale not allowed,' even though there is no Effective Date, that it's called, we aren't capable of overriding the system."

I said, "well I'm certainly sorry to hear that. As a consumer I was misled because the product was out on the floor for sale, but rules are rules, I suppose. To avoid any further mishaps you probably ought to get one of your underlings (yes, I said underlings) to get the remaining consoles off the sale floor until Sunday."


"By the way, will the consoles be available early Sunday morning at midnight or at some specific time of day?"

He said, "early Sunday morning...midnight-ish."

To end the discussion I said, "thanks a ton."





I had it in my grasp, boys. I'm apprehensive to go back on Sunday to try and get one though, because the underling (I went to get groceries and passed by Electronics again) was tumbling the consoles into a buggy, so that makes me not want to buy an overly jostled Elite. If I strike out at WM, I'll try GS. If I'm successful at WM, I'll sell my 360 at the community garage sale on 5/5 or craigslist or something.

Of course, I have not a smidgeon of proof to show you. Ever since I got my Crackberry last year (a model with a camera came out about 2 months after I got mine) I've needed a camera phone more than ever. The day after I bought the phone I saw the Mystery Machine. I kid you not...same van shape, and of course, identical paint job right down to the hippy flowers.

YES!!! It would have been great to get one today, PB. I had a crappy day at work (multiple customer issues) before I found the Elite, and getting X-Blocked didn't make that any better. Hopefully the rest of the day will help me rebound.

Ironic, isn't it? It is not in my nature to be that way, I assure you. I was (still am) bummed about today..my customers were yelling at me because the manufacturer I represent hadn't delivered something, so it wasn't my fault, I just get yelled at because I'm the rep.

I'm not argumentative at all.

To me, it makes sense that if something is on the floor, it's for sale. If the rule was 'broken,' then they should be able to sell it to me.

My tone with the employees wasn't s****y or anything, I was just elated to find one in the store, and then being told I couldn't buy it was a big letdown.

Actually, I played dumb about the whole thing...I just gave boardies an overview of what happened.

"Why would an item be released on a Sunday? That's just odd."

yeah, the tracking number you have been using is just TO the repair facility. When they ship it back, it will have a different tracking no.

I'm hoping to get mine on the 29th (if not sooner somehow), but I am a LITTLE worried about them selling out. According to what gamestop/EB corporate has told their managers, most stores will only be getting about 2. Circuit City's website has already sold old of thier first allocation too. So, I dunno, it's looking like the demand for this new SKU MIGHT be bigger than anticipated.

So, I got my system delivered to me around 5:30pm PST, and I already hooked my hard drive and everything back up (It was indeed my original system). I can once again play the games that were giving me trouble when the disc drive was crapping out. However....

I've noticed that there is some hiccupping still on some of the games (Oblivion, once again...Morrowind never had such issues on the original Xbox :rolleyes: ), and I already had another disc unreadable error. Sweet crap, this is horrendous. To add insult to injury, the 1-month free card they gave me had the serial number partially missing, but the clown who I talked to on the phone said "there's nothing they could do". I am very close to just boxing it all back up, and taking it back to Costco for a refund, and throwing in the towel on this generation of the Xbox. :mad:

Of course, you're not going through the same crap I am, so I could see where your defensive comment would come from....

It's just sad that of all the BS I heard about how many problems I was going to have with my original Playstation, Xbox, and then PS2, I never once had any issues. I always crap on the internet stories of "Such & such system is crap, it breaks all the tyme LOLZ", and then finally, I've run into one that IS true. It's very frustrating, considering I have wanted to be supportive of Microsoft, but it seems manufacturing on the 360 isn't quite up to any sort of "quality" standard. :mad:

Hell, I've gotten by the past 2-3 weeks with nothing but minor gaming (Finishing God of War 2, and dusting off my PS2 GH & GH2), so perhaps not having a new system any longer isn't such a big deal.

If you are paying for your online-game service, why do you have to see ads on those Xbox 360 blades? Furthermore, if you are paying for a game, why you have to see ads in games? I’m cool with ads making content free, but, conversely, paying for content should remove any ad.

It’d be great if Microsoft could a develop a technology that enables game publishers and developers to know if the user playing the game is a paid subscriber. That way, the game will automatically know if it should display an ad (or not) in its single-player campaign or online multiplayer modes.

Microsoft has already acquired Massive Inc., which (along with the other big in-game advertising companies, Double Fusion and the recently-acquired-by-Google AdScape) already has deals in place with most major game publishers. So, I got my system delivered to me around 5:30pm PST, and I already hooked my hard drive and everything back up (It was indeed my original system). I can once again play the games that were giving me trouble when the disc drive was crapping out. However....

I've noticed that there is some hiccupping still on some of the games (Oblivion, once again...Morrowind never had such issues on the original Xbox :rolleyes: ), and I already had another disc unreadable error. Sweet crap, this is horrendous. To add insult to injury, the 1-month free card they gave me had the serial number partially missing, but the clown who I talked to on the phone said "there's nothing they could do". I am very close to just boxing it all back up, and taking it back to Costco for a refund, and throwing in the towel on this generation of the Xbox. :mad:

Xbox360 lost my trust also, but I can't throw in the towel on it, it's still my favorite system of the 3. Hell 4 of my systems have broken down (sometimes I lose count and forget to add in my actual 1 day owning of a launch system)....I've never had a system ever before where every day when I hit the power button I almost feel like I have to cross my fingers and hope everything goes ok. I've got all the reason in the world to be jaded against microsoft. The first 360 I had that broke I was on hold with their customer service for an hour before they finally hung up on me. I call back and go on hold for an hour and a half before they finally tell me I'm boned send in my system. I didn't get the coffin until over 2 weeks later (by then I had already just went to gamestop and gotten a different xbox). So believe me I can 110% see where your coming from.

I don't know if I'd give up on the system just yet. It's definately frustrating as all hell when all you wanna do is put in an hour or 2 of videogaming and your shut down because a system you dropped $400+ for can't even start up or play 5 minutes without freezing.

I'd love to tell you to throw in the towel, the grass is greener on the other side but right now the 360 is just the best of the 3 options. The novelty of the Wii wore off on me really quick so now I only play the Marios, Warios, Zeldas, etc that the system offers. And the PS3 while is a solid system doesn't offer enough games. You'd finally be able to get your Oblivion gaming in, maybe watch a high def movie or 2 but exclusive titles aren't really the strong point right now. Although Heavenly Sword does kinda look like it will own my life for a good week or 2.

A GS I went to today while out on business said that he had only ONE customer (who apparently is a regular) before me ask about the Elite. The manager also told me that his store, and most GS's were getting minimum 2-3 consoles, and the the very maximum, 10 Elites.

Obviously, people don't know about the Elite or have already bought their 360 and aren't going to buy or trade in for a new one. I hope that's the case...I really want an Elite.

I'm actually kinda in the same boat he is right now and I like this idea. I can't "take it back" but my 1 year warranty at Gamestop officially runs out in a month and knowing my luck with 360's I can definately see it breaking down 1 day after my warranty is up. I've thought over the whole trade in my current system and go elite route a few times and it's not a bad alternative. I get a new fresh warranty, the system looks better and I'm no longer stuck deciding what I should and should not save because I'm down to 2gbs of room left.

I actually like the addition of Korey Stringer....not so much because I remember him what-so-ever as a player but anyway to help get his widow and his kids some extra money is cool in my book. They probably pocketed a decent amount for his likeness.

As for the player list I like it. After looking through it a bit it almost looks like a cross section of Tecmo Superbowl. I see alot of Tecmo Legends throughout the listing. But to top it off for me seeing Thurman Thomas, Steve Tasker, Andre Reed, OJ Simpson, Pete Metzelaars, Joe Delamielleure, James Lofton, etc all make me want to go out and create an alltime bills team. I can tell it was at least taken out, because it doesn't close the same way it did when I had the system prior to sending it in. Plus, there was wear/residue around the outer edge of where the disc tray ejects. It's funny---the games no longer freeze up like they did prior to sending it in, they just load slowly now, and the system kicks out the "disc unreadable" errors like no tomorrow. Maybe they could have done more troubleshooting with it prior to just assuming "Yeah, that's all the problem is" and sending it back.

In order to get achievements like Cyclops talking to Jean, Magneto talking to Professor X, and Sabretooth mistaken for Wolverine do you have to start a new game or can you just go to the Inner Sanctum and do them?

When you DL the new characters they will be level 1 no matter what your guys already are. So you might as well.

Is it one that's more fun with a buddy (online) than it is in single player?

Should I run out and buy it so I can co-op with you guys online, or is it worth that much?

Also, how is Superman Returns? Movie videogames always suck, but Supes is my all time fave...is it a rental or a discount bin kind of game?

MUA is a fun single player game, idk about online i havent played it online with anyone yet.

As for RS:V we used to play that online alot, more into Gears with the new game mode now. I like Gears alot more than RS:V, I only bought that to play online with people. I havent beat the single player mode yet.

Superman Returns seems fun(and I cant stand Supes) but Ive only played the demo. If I were you I would dl the demo or rent it first.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance is the best game when you've got 3 other people over to play the game with you. The game gets held back online mainly because of just really bad lag issues. You'll get used to it after a few minutes but it's evident regardless of how good of a connection your playing on everything you're pressing on your controller is happening at least a 1-2 seconds after on the tv screen. When you just have 3 other people over the gameplay is seemless, no slowdown, just 4 people flat out owning every chump that Doom throws at you.

The game gets highly repetitive but if you take breaks from it you'll have a fun time playing through the entire game....hell I've played through it twice now going on 3 times.

If you want it to be really fun...just invite chugga to a co-op game...let him be the Hulk....let him attack the enemies....and then you grab all the gold coins and listen to him whine :D

The Hulk successfully boxed you out from a bunch of coins yesterday. The best one was where I pulled the Jeff Gordon and took the inside track after going up the stairs to sweep the entire platform of coins.

It all depends. I ended up buying it. If you like playing the game, then having some new skins with some new powers is pretty cool. If you are already bored with the gameplay itself.....some new skins and powers isn't gonna change the actual gameplay and you would probably be bored with it again in a short matter of time. I like Cyclops and Hawkeye alot. Obviously Hulk is my player of choice because he's my favorite superhero but when it comes to just trying all of the characters out I really liked Hawkeye and Cyclops...both of them were killing machines and rarely if ever lost any health in the process.

you're right...I just bought more points via LIVE a couple weeks ago and it was $25......i thought it was for only 1600 points....but it was in fact for 2000 points. I was kinda wondering why I hadn't ran out of points yet...I think i have right around 400 left now.

Yup, stupid that Microsoft is making Epic charge people for the maps. Epic said that all they're downloadble content will be free, but I guess Microsoft made them change. I'm still asking myself if I should just wait for the maps to be free or just buy them.

Like you can take out the generators...causing the lights to go out...causign the kryll to attack the un-lit areas.
Like you have to ventilate the green house some way or you'll take damage from breathing the pesticides.

I stick solely with Bowen Designs...which is polystone statues of Marvel characters.

I believe those are Koto Vinyl statues.....but they are kickazz. If i was collecting DC...I'd grab them. The catwoman is incredible. Not too crazy about the bottom half sculpt on SuperGirl....something looks odd with her right leg....like its bending..i dunno :confused:

Since you seem to like the "female" ones...they have an entire line of busts (which is like a half statue- no legs/sometimes no arms) for the female DC characters. "The Women of DC"...check em out.

They are all in scale with each other...so different characters are bigger then others. Like Juggernaut and Hulk are HUGE. While Spider-Man is pretty small.

Just for reference...Panther is 12", while Moon Knight is 18" cause of the huge base. Hulk and Juggs are around 16"
