The Bowens? They vary depending on production #'s and demand. Some of the pieces like Namor and Spiderwoman can be had for around $100 give or take. While the Juggy for example is up around $300 right now.

The Emma and MJ pieces from Sideshow sell for $125. I'm not sure what the Kotos sell for. If they're priced similar to the Star Wars one i have around $90.

With Madden you can just go into one of the online lobbies or choose a quick match. I don't cause most of the strangers I seem to play are complete jackbags but it can be done.

You can do it both ways. You can host a game...and then invite your firends. Your friends could host a game and invite you. Most games have online lobbies where you can search for games with just random people. Some games have "quick match" features...which just automatically pair you up with someone..and then you play.

Correction: you were running down the stairs directly at me....you started to go into the "sliding" animation like you were gonna take cover......I shotgunned you and it was an almost instantaneous body explosion. It then said "chugga left". We laughed about how fast your body shot back up the stairs and then we figured.....you just got scared. Really though, that's understandable..

That is the truth. It is amazing how you become good while hosting. I dont think I have ever had that many kills before. I was just giving you a hard time. It is probably a good thing Chugga cant host. It could probably be four on 1 and he would still win.

I thought they were pretty big, it's easy to get lost. I didn't know the maps what-so-ever tonight because my downloading speed sucks and it took me like 3 hours to download the damn patch. But from what I played 2 of the maps were amazingly fun and 2 of them were bleh. The map with the gases was fun as hell, the map with the kree was fun as hell...the last 2 I don't think were built very well for annex what-so-ever. I grade basically all maps now around annex since thats the only mode I really like playing anymore....and those first 2 maps I mentioned were fun as hell. At first I was a bit pissed because I kept thinking I was getting shot so I'd take cover in the green house only to realize I was taking cover in a gas chamber.

The other map (which is probably my favorite of the bunch" is an all outdoor night map. It's dark but I love the weapon placement and once you actually figure out how the hell to get upstairs the map is fun. Hell the first match we did we gave the opposing team 110 unanswered points because none of us had the slightest idea how to get up to either sniper. But like I said once you figure it out probably the best of the new maps.

Still has nothing on Canals though.

Nope. Played the demo and I've yet to find a RTS game that holds my interest. It's just "not my bag, baby."

I rented Spidey 3 this morning. Haven't played it yet, since I'm at work. They had it for PS3 also, but the rez is only as high as 720p, so I opted for the 1080p 360 version to see how it looks on my Elite.

I probably won't be able to tonight (have to be somewhere at 8am tomorrow), but I'm up for just about any online game this weekend...except Halo 2. I downloaded the new maps the other day, and trying to play Wednesday night, I got a message saying I didn't have content necessary to play online, and it may be available for download.

I have all the stuff for Halo 2, and I don't understand why it's telling me this. Sigh. Anybody have this issue?

It's a regional chain called Hastings. I can ask them to probably take one out...they're cool about stuff like that. I hate Blockbuster so I rent from Hastings. Plus, if you rent a movie or game and return by close of the next business day, you automatically get a $1 credit toward your next rental. Plus the people there are real nice.

They had a used WiiPlay (sans controller, natch) marked at $40...I told the employee in that section it was a $10 game, he agreed, and went up to the cashier and said, "sell this to him for $10." Granted, it literally is a ten dollar game, but they could have been dlcks about the whole thing. Can't beat that:)

Questions about some of the unlocks for the team bonuses in MUA. I'm guessing need to play with Capt America, Fury, Spider-woman & Wolverine to unlock the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. When there are 5 members does that mean I just pick 4 of the 5 or play one level and swap out for the 5th player?
When you have beaten a level can I go back throught it and replay it to get an achevement that I didn't get the first time around? or do I have to start the game all over again?

You don't actually have to play through a bunch of times to see all of the different endings. The endings you are given usually tell what happens if you hadn't had done the task. For example theres a quest to have you save some random kid.

You're better off just completing every single quest because completing a quest generally gives you more knowledge on what happens then not completing one. Only a few of the endings don't actually tell you the other side of the story if you complete the quest.

I tried riding atop a car for about 3-4 mins and the car just kept driving a little then stopping . I couldnt take it. So I just jumped off and went to a mission. I guess Ill hope to get it randomly like you did, and the same for the 200 mph swing also. Thanks for the input bro.

honestly if your a big spidey/comic fan, than I am sure you will enjoy it. So far it seems like it will be a long/time consuming game, if you are a completiest/achievement *****. Making teams is good for getting additional boosts for those on the team. You start with 4 but as you build you rep you can add to have a team up to 8 or 9 players. After that you have to pay to switch them out.

my first team was Spider-woman, Thor, Cap, & Invisible Woman.

Cap and Thor throwing shield/hammer kicks butt when powered up...IW has a great shield and SW has a power of reviving heatlh (AWESOME) and and great venom sting blast.

I created a team right at the level you are able to. By the time I beat the game....all of my bonus stats were maxed and my roster spots were all used up (I think you get a max of 8 people). As for my team......I made the X-Vengers....and had a cross of the xmen and avengers on it. Main Team was - Mrs Marvel - Cap - Wolverine - Ice Man....subs were Thor - Colossus - Spider-Woman - Iron Man

Gotta admit though...as I told you over chat.....it is very hard to explain how someone who has a connection that takes 3 hours to download the exact same patch that all the rest of us download in 10 minutes has a 1-shot stopper shotgun and can seemingly take round after round after round being shot into them. Common sense would suggest the exact opposite.

All I know is...I can downlaod that patch in roughly 7 minutes.....meaning my connection is decent.....yet when Cory hosts and hes on the other side of the country...my shotgun don't work for shlt and everything is AT LEAST 2 seconds delayed. That doesn't happen for you...even though it takes you 400Xs longer to download due to your connection.

If you have any idea how you defy the normal rules of bandwidth..I'd love to hear it.

If it is the Sideshow Doom Premium Format statue....you are going to pay ALOT. And by ALOT...I mean close to $700-800 for the regular.....and $1200-1300 for the exclusive. Does he have a "pimp cup" sitting on a pedestal next to him????
I would also be very careful with this statue...as some recasts "fakes" have been done lately.

I get all of my older statues from either ebay...or from boardies over on the statue thread. I get all of my new statues just coming out from killertoys....he has a great discount program for members of that statue thread (club...sorta).

Typically.....local comic shops are not going to be the best price. They usually sell them for retail or higher.

Well the answer is clearly I've gone back to college (the ones they advertise on TV) to work on videogames and after 2 full semesters there I've found out a percise mathematic equation to allow my shotgun to work while no one elses will. I then went out and bought an Elite Xbox360 so that I could mask my cutting open of the system to input this cryptic data. The system initially gave me some issues because the program was working almost too well. I figured the only way I could see if it was functioning properly was to also invent a time machine (something else taught at the college) and go back in time and play COD2 on veteran....I beat COD2 on veteran in 1 day and decided it was time to give Gears of War a shot. After running 3 full days worth of programming and trouble shooting my MMAP (Makes Me Awesome Program) was finally ready to kick in and I decided to try it out on the night the new maps were released. MMAP came back with amazing results...one game I actually posted 50 kills...sometimes during the night my team may have heard me go quiet...thats because I had to tighten the screws on my newly modded Xbox. Sometimes when you're killing too many people the system starts to jiggle loose, so I'd have to get up and make sure things were in working order if I intended on killing more people.

Some would say I took things a little too far in developing the MMAP. But for me at least I believe it has been worth it.

I don't know I like the convenience of just being able to walk into the shop and picking up what I want but the local comic shop is charging $60 more then that. I had to take off from work early, thanks to acquiring a hole/leak in my tire this morning (@%&*$ :mad: ), and the most logistically sound mechanic shop happens to be by a local EB Games, where a good friend of mine works. She sold me a refurbed HDD & a cheap copy of PGR3, all so I can return mine to Costco. Well, I decided to fire up my existing system one last time, to see if it just might work well enough to not have to do that. It worked long enough to do the Spring Update, but minutes after---BAM--3 Red Rings of Death. :mad: :mad: :mad:

The worst part of all is that my Costco membership has expired since the purchase, and they want me to renew when I bring the system in---something I don't want to do. Aye, buey. :(

I'm not that good it's the fact that we were playing Annex....Annex is the exact reason I stopped playing Halo/Call of Duty. You know you're going to respawn so theres nothing tactical about the game at all everyone turns into a mini rambo. Thats how I play now.... as a mini rambo, I'm not afraid to do the front roll into you and pull the shotgun trigger. Before annex ever exsisted I'd NEVER do that. I'd wait behind cover, hope the other person would make the first bad move and I'd fire out on them. If it were me and 1 other person as the last 2 people in a game of execution I wasn't the one running around I was behind cover the entire time playing it safe. Now I'm freakin rolling all over the place running head first into the business end of a shotgun thinking I might just be able to pull of a miracle...and half the time I do, and the times that I don't I've got a 5 second wait until I get to try again.

My ridiculous numbers from the other night isn't me hacking or my connection having Dr. Strange-like capabilities. It's just that I'm not the dude who sits behind a rock anymore waiting for you to screw up, it's far more rewarding to just roll into the middle of a warzone and seeing what you can make of it. If annex has taught us anything it's that it makes no sense what-so-ever to be the tactical person. The tactical person is the one who goes back to the lobby saying "w-t-f I was behind cover and shot him 50 times and he just ran around the cover and killed me".

Yeah it's been a while. As for attacking my game, I don't care if you say I suck, or you're better then me or anything like that (well I do care, but it's not like your smacking my hoe, she's just my hoe it's not like I care how she looks). But I just think it's ridiculous to say that I hack...maybe I'm blowing it out of proportion but from what I heard the general concensus was I must have downloaded some type of patch or exploit to allow my shotgun to work and other peoples not to.

It really has nothing to do with skating or anything. It just seems that every time you fire your shotgun everyone blows up in 1 shot. I am not saying that you have a moded xbox because I know my friend has one and it wont let him on live with if he tired. It just seems strange that you pretty much kill everyone with one shotgun blast. I have watched you play and know that you do use the aim. So I guess that helps.

How does that happen???? I think I'm gonna cancel my $60/month high speed connection and go buy a 56k modem and plug into my phone so I can have a kickazz connection as well.

None of my sports teams fare well. I'm a Bills and Magic fan. Between the 2 of them we've got 0 championships and 5 finals losses. I gotta win, its what keeps my head up in this cold dark world.

That and to be honest I find winning to be very fun. Losing can be fun also....but in things like drunken bets and diets.

As for having fun I have fun every night, whether I'm playing Spiderman (which is awesome by the way I saw you got it yesterday) or Gears or whatever. But winning is like icing on the cake of awesomeness.

You can't hack a 360 but there are Gears exploits. Weren't you in the room with me the night that guy kept hiding in the pile of rocks in tyro station? Also one of the guys we play with on occassion uses a few exploits himself when it comes to weapon pickups. He slides so that you can't take his head off....after a chainsaw he's able to maneuver before ever getting shot. It's like all the grace periods that we normally deal with are out the window for him. Theres definately things out there to exploit but nothing as awesome as the MMAP.

I appreciate you for telling me.....at first I thought it was hilarious then it started eating away at me....I was like "damn they are just going to discredit every single time I shoot them in the face". And I can't have people discrediting me when I shoot them in the face, it's not fair to me, or to the kids that look up to me.

As for my connection I'm currently on dial up no joke. Theres something screwy with my computer where I have DSL but my computer won't recognize it. I think it may have to deal with why my connection looks so awful at first but is fine when I'm on xbox. When I'm doing the Xbox Live silver things (like downloading content/checking the marketplace etc) I have an awful connection. But when I move onto actually playing games (where a high speed connection is required for Xbox) it might actually give me DSL. I don't know how it works but I'm going to be the last person to question it, as long as I can play online with friends I'll live with it.

I dont know how you could live with it. I would have to go to the DSL company and bust some heads. I couldnt deal with surfing the net on 56k. I am glad you cant host though. I couldnt imagine you with the host shotgun advantage. One shot could probably kill everyone on the map. It would be like the nuke shotgun. :)

Fine fine fine...I'll tell you. I didn't think people would notice or get up in arms over this but since people are starting to take notice I'll let you know how I do it.

1. You get yourself a decent internet connection...DSL or above, anything that will allow you to connect to Xbox Live with their high speed requirements.

2. You get yourself a comfortable chair to sit in

3. Heres the hard part. When the game starts up between you and your friends you gauge how bad your connection is. Am I getting .1 second of lag, am I getting .5 seconds of lag or hell even sometimes an entire second of lag behind the host. Shoot around a bit and try to judge when you pull the trigger and when the shot actually fires on screen. Also more importantly if you can do this do a test of when you pull the trigger and when blood flies out of your opponent. This is also a good tell of your level of lag.

4. After gauging exactly how far you are behind the host and the rest of the people in the room follow this simple equation.......

M+A = L+HA+1.

M means Me
A means Awesome
L means Lag
HA means host advantage

The level of your awesomeness should be equal to the lag and host advantage+1. Since the host simply can't find a way to come up with that +1 you have an inherent advantage over your foes. How much awesomeness is actually required to be pushed through your connection varies but as long as you give 110% and put forth as much effort as you humanly can your M+A should always equal or exceed L+HA+1.

As for the need of a comfortable chairs thats just because it's not easy being awesome and at the very least you should feel comfortable doing it.

Like I said before, while this solution may make you feel better we all know bad connection = entire room ice skating. It does....but you have to level up. Once I started getting more attacks the fighting was actually pretty fun. The downside is it is somewhat of a button masher (a few hits on the X and Y buttons and chances are you're doing something cool) but once you get farther in the game you'll need to really work on your combat. Last mission I did they send a wave of 10-15 people at you that are all throwing knives, shooting at you etc, then when you finish them 4 more elite people spawn (elites are generally people that dodge basically everything). You really gotta know what your doing to get through it.

You've certainly rented worse, and as a comic book fan you'll like it.

Yeah thats what I was thinking of when I said "you've rented worse"...I was thinking of a mixture of earth defense and ninja turtles. One thing I'll tell you right now that you'll hate about spiderman though is the ridiculous boss battles. Most of the boss battles take like 10 minutes to actually finish. It's like they have unlimited health bars and all your attacks do is tickle them. Once you level up though things change...at least a little bit.

Definately go out and actually see Spiderman 3 before you rent the game though because of the bosses you fight that are actually in the movie their fights are mirrors of what happen in the movie.

Tons of companies make Marvel statues. If having statues done in the same scale is important to you I'd stick with Bowen. If you're like me ( and unlike Keith :D ) and don't give a rats ass about scale you can pick and choose your favs from all the different companies. I decided to pick up one statue of each of my favorite characters. So far I have statues from Bowen, Sideshow, Art Asylum, and Diamond Select.

And if you want good size not much beats this guy.

Full Size. Not $800. Marvel only. Good selection of characters to choose from. That right there is Bowen. The same ones I collect. Some of the more rare, difficult to find, statues can go for $300-600. but that's only a handful of them....with most of them falling between the $125-$175 mark. I prefer Bowen because he has a huge selection and the scale basically is as good as it's gonna get. Sideshow has some incredible sculpts...but they don't make enough characters. And I don't like how their scale is all over the place. Their Wolverine and Iron Man look like kids next to their Hulk. Hard Hero is another option...but frankly...I don't care for most of their sculpts...and their paint looks "cheap" (although their new Daredevil and Angel are unreal).

I actually was on Bowen Designs earlier today and really liked them but it's hard to judge scale so I don't know exactly how much I like them. How huge is the Hulk, or how small is Wolverine etc. The one thing I must say I liked about looking around today was Sideshow toys new spiderman coming out looks absolutely amazing.

If you are only wanting like 3 statues...then maybe Sideshow would do. They have Iron Man, Hulk, Spidey, Wolverine, and a few others.

I don't think you really have an appreciation for the scale. Grab a ruler....go to a bare section on your wall.....mark off 16" and then 23". The 16" is how tall the bowen hulk is....23" is how tall the Sideshow hulk is.

Go to your LCS and just ask the guy..who makes this....who makes this...and so on and so on...you'll get a feel for the size of each company.

Yeah the Grievous I have is like 25 inches tall and 25 inches wide with the lightsabers. They have some insane pieces. I would also like the Sauron which is 24 inches tall and weighs like 60 pounds.

Not necessarily. It seems like some files work, some don't, so this could just be some sort of glitch that can be fixed.
