I actually was on Bowen Designs earlier today and really liked them but it's hard to judge scale so I don't know exactly how much I like them. How huge is the Hulk, or how small is Wolverine etc. The one thing I must say I liked about looking around today was Sideshow toys new spiderman coming out looks absolutely amazing.

I agree with Keith that for consistant scale and value Bowen is the way to go. If I suffered from OCD like he does I'd go with Bowen only too. :D The reason I don't is that I want the best sculpt of the character. Sometimes that isn't Bowen. Granted it's only my opinion but nobody has done a statue of Iron Man the even comes close to Sideshows. Also IMO there are better Daredevils, Ghost Riders and Spidermans out there than Bowens versions. Personally I don't want to settle for those so I deal with the different scales.

yeah i've been working through insane by myself slowly very slowly i was stuck on the driving mission for awhile but had a glitch in the game go my way and somehow passed the mission after being blown up for the 10,000th time. i am in the middle of act 4 just passed the fun time had with the hammer of dawn. i keep getting hit with the tourqe bow. in this court yard but i'll make it.

I really like the camera angles for the Campus Legend mode. I hated the view from some of the positions in Madden Superstar. I get Madden and NCAA every year but I think I like NCAA better every year.

Ya I agree I found MLB to be the best option in Superstar mode. I usually like to make myself QB but that is a *****. After you throw and complete a pass and not being able to control the WR/TE/RB totally sucked in my opinion.

The new crackdown expansion looks pretty pointless to me. 3 new vehicles which sound to be exactly like the vehicles you already have but with mounted weapons added on. The new weapons do sound cool but it got to a point where all I did was carrying around rocket launchers anyways.

I was hoping they'd release an expansion with an entirely new portion of map...I didn't really need new weapons or cars for this game.

Looks like MMAP is finding it's way around the net pretty quickly. Tonight on a couple of occassions I realized I was killed purely by the help of a computer program. I still can't get over one kill where someone was running straight at me up the stairs I was at the top of the stairs just waiting with the shotgun....if Star Wars has taught us anything it's that the person with the higher ground should win, but I got blown into pieces.

It keeps getting weirder. I was finally able to play online, but the red lights of death were on the whole time I was playing. They never went off and I was able to play fine. I get the feeling that I need to send it in soon before any good games come out (no, Spiderman 3 doesn't count:p ).

Forza 2 demo is out (I'm sure already posted), but it's pretty nice for a demo

I never played the original forza, always was a GT kid. First thing I noticed was that the cars take and show damage whereas in GT they were not allowed to show the damage to the cars.

hahaha nah theres no cheating going on. Just about a week ago I posted a decently high kill count in a couple games of Gears...some of the games I was doubling the points of whoever was in second, to me it was just a fluke of no one really knowing the maps that well. But anyways I went off to a convention in jersey had a great time came back ready to play gears and to my dismay on Xbox live oaktown was like "yeah the general concensus on our team is you have a modded xbox that allows your shotgun to work while no one elses does". So then I came up with the idea that what I have is the MMAP (Makes Me Awesome Program) installed into my Xbox. So last couple of nights whenever someone has a really good game on occassion you'll hear "oh thats definately a case of MMAP". It's just a joke now....theres no such thing as being able to mod a system to make you better at gears of war, just doesn't exsist. Theres glitches and exploits, but you can see those from a mile away. A program to actually make you better...good luck finding one.

It was just one of those nights. Cory had one of those nights last night. On Canels he was just one shot shotgunning just about everyone he came across. I know Cory got MMAP off of isohunt and all. I had one of those shots last night as well. Granted I was the host but still. I am not sure who it was I think it was marvelus came up when I was hiding behind a wall and shot me with a shotgun. Since I was already facing that direciton I let go of the A button and pulled the trigger and he was blown up into pieces. It was just pure luck that my gun just happened to be right there.

My numbers lately have been pretty normal for me. It was Annex that I was going crazy on. Lately we've gone back to warzone and execution so thats bound to happen. I can no longer seek my own revenge after a respawn I gotta hope my teammate gets it for me.

I like Annex also, I am down for that...I am not saying I dont like Execution but I am just more a Warzone/Annex fan. The one thing good about Warzone/Execution is when your dead you can complain to your opponent about how the their teammate got lucky and should be dead not you. :) But I'll play whatever......

I found the DL after I popped in the disc, after you DL it a prompt comes up asking if you want to intergrate it with the rest of the game. Then when you bring up the screen to pick your player and game style (single or co-op) and press start a message comes up saying that all saved missions and abilities will be erased and all bosses will be retunred to the game.... Really lame in ways that they don't make that known before you DL the new pack, yet then noone will buy it and they will lose money. I haven't played it yet, but I think I'm sorry I spent the 800 points for it. :(

You should have heard our team chat. Sometimes I wish I could save the transcript of what everyones saying because it's generally priceless. Oaktown had to say "you gotta be ******* kidding me man" at least 100 times throughout the course of the night. Cory would just come in and awkwardly laugh whenever he died as if his ingame character had just given up on life in front of him. I on the other hand had a bevy of different options including "are you kidding me?"...."I just can't do anything"...and my personal favorite "every weapon I own is broken...even the ones I pick up". Seriously people were kitty priding half of my boomshot shots.

Last night was just weird, when I was doing bad I was a giant liability to the team, I couldn't do anything I couldn't kill anyone I couldn't get to the annex points without dying 50 times, I just couldn't even function. But then there would just be stretches when I couldn't do anything wrong. I'd run head first into shotgun fire and come out the other side with 2 exploding bodies and a broken up annex point. Unfortunately the first scenario kept me crying all night. While I will admit I was a bit sore to a few cases of the host shotgun that wasn't even the worst part...I mean evilspidermonkey or whatever the hell his name was, was one shotting me from 50 feet away, damn someguy and xssocx were chainsawing the hell out of me. I may have had alot of kills but I wouldn't doubt I died nearly as many times.

If your ConsoleID is not in the list but you have uploaded a gamesave recently and wish it to be removed from the site please PM a forum admin.

My understanding is that MS is doing this to combat people who are cheating to gain achievements. Unfortunately MS's solution does not differentiate between a file with achievement points attached to it and one that doesn't.

I am telling you I swear everyone had a super shotgun last night. xssocx said that even he one shot shotgunned a few people. Last night was just weird, when I was doing bad I was a giant liability to the team, I couldn't do anything I couldn't kill anyone I couldn't get to the annex points without dying 50 times, I just couldn't even function. But then there would just be stretches when I couldn't do anything wrong. I'd run head first into shotgun fire and come out the other side with 2 exploding bodies and a broken up annex point. Unfortunately the first scenario kept me crying all night. While I will admit I was a bit sore to a few cases of the host shotgun that wasn't even the worst part...I mean evilspidermonkey or whatever the hell his name was, was one shotting me from 50 feet away, damn someguy and xssocx were chainsawing the hell out of me. I may have had alot of kills but I wouldn't doubt I died nearly as many times.

I was like "dude we just shot him like 20 times" and Marvelous says "yeah I KNOW". And the weird thing was for every time that we tried killing a dude with 50 billion shots the 1 hitter quitters were in full effect. The chances of me killing a guy with 10 shotgun shots simply weren't as good as me getting a kill with 1 shot.

Also I apologize if we downed you and let you bleed out but the evilspiderdude was downing us and then just letting us sit there to delay our time in getting back into the game so we basically said "**** it we're doing it too". I absolutely despise when people do it, even with something small like 5 second downs, but we just wanted to screw him over mainly.

Yeah you can tell he likes his ranked matches. He was taking the game way to seriously. I guess he just doesnt play with us enough to know that we really dont care about who wins that much, it is all for fun with us. You cant have any advantage when you get a head shot. You are going down in one shot no matter what. I had a really nice head shot on Cory. that was nuts...two on one and we both had the latest version of MMAP

You dont even know frustrating. Frustating is aiming at one of your guys standing completely still...shooting him with the sniper and watching the yellow laser cut right through his head and nothing. Frustrating is shooting the boomshot directly at one of your team's feet...watching the explosion...the smoke...and then them running right at you and one shotting (chugga even witnessed this gem because he was dead waiting to respawn). I get downed when Im 20 feet within the boomshot explosion......I shoot it point blank at your feet and nothing...you run through it like I hit you with a spitball.

I also loved one time when you were chasing me. I get shot once...bright red...i get shot again..I'm down. I'm like, damn..he must've snuck up on me from behind with the shotgun. I turn the camera around while I'm waiting to die....and you are literally 20-30 feet running up to chainsaw me. That's ridiculous. 2 shots downed from across the map with the shotgun? I pump 4-5 shots within 2 feet and it doesn't do jack.

As far as Gears "skill" is concerned...there's two completely different settings. How good are you when you host? How good are you when someone else hosts? Basically anyone who hosts is going to own. But can you hold your own even when it takes twice as many shots now. Can you still win matches even when the enemy can basically one-shot kill you?

So I'm ok with having someone else host and having to deal with the BS on my end. I feel like it kinda evens things out. When I hosted (not trying to sound like a **** at all)...but many of the matches just weren't close at all. Hell.....chugga and I even took on many a 2 V 3 and still skunked the other team.

I'll complain...say "are you f*&^*^* kidding me"....get frustrated....sometimes turn my mic off.....but in the end, it is just a game and as soon as I turn it off, I'm back to normal and have no hard feelings or resentment towards anyone (although the evilmonkey guy was kinda annoying...he was all laughs and "don't hate the game" when you guys won...but when you lost he was just whining).

So....I'm back. After much deliberation (And enjoying having the $500 back from my original/junk one after taking it back to Costco), I visited the local EB and grabbed a new one. I just have to return the new HD from this one (I kept my old HD, as per my prior post) to my friend at EB, and I'm good. Of course, thanks to my trials & tribulations, this one is covered under an extended warranty now.

I spent a majority of what gaming I did yesterday returning to Stilwater for the first time in over a month, and, it felt good to be "home". I still find the Hitman missions very frustrating, but I still think Volition did a great job with their activities. I just wish that the marks in the Hitman missions would be where they were supposed to be (per the HUD). Most of the time, the target ends up being in a completely different place on the map then it tells you they should be. Frustrating!! I finally finished finding the remainder of the 60 CDs, after being stuck at 50-something for the month+ my system was busted.

On another note---is everyone who's going to be on the Halo 3 beta keeping track of the IGN coverage of it? There's some good info to be had here:

Sweet scores on the MS point cards. WM's discount items differently based on the stores, so it's tough to find a store doing the same thing in a different state. There's a way around it though if you're willing to do some leg work. If you start a brand new game after saving your original game...it will ask you if you want to use the "original stats" or the "saved stats"....or something like that. Just choose the saved stats and your characters will start at whatever level they were in your last game.

Sometimes I can't revive the right guy, sometimes the chainsaw won't lock in at all, I've gotten shot at from behing cover when theres no way to possibly be hit... I mean, thats what I can think off of the top of my head, and I know my roommate and I have seen plenty of other rediculous things that I'm sure are equally as funny.

It's a fun game, but god damn do they need to tweak and test some things better for Gears 2.

Good news, PrimeBane. I'm pretty sure Children of Men, while watchable, was dropping frames on my 360 - hopefully this update fixes it, as its one of my favorite films.

I don't know how people couldn't love MS with how they support the 360. I check Majornelson.com daily, we get tons of support, they are constantly working on making sure things stay fresh...

I was seriously contemplating getting an elite and selling off my premium for 300 or so, including 2 controllers and 2 wireless battery packs and a play and charge kit - would anyone be interested? I would need to keep the harddrive to get my things off there and then proceed to wipe it clean for you, but I would only do it if the interest was there - system was made in April of 06 and I've never had any serious issues with it other then the ocasional freeze during gameplay.

Mind you, I'm not sure I'm selling, but if the interest were there I would consider it. The only thing that sucks is STILL no built in Wi-Fi. Tsk tsk, MSFT, as that would have had me buying it in a nanosecond.

For Halo 3 Beta, I haven't read much about the party system, but will it be possible to get a few spawn.com only games going? I admittedly suck at Halo 2 online, which is strange because I'm not really all that bad of a player, IMO, but I found some of the balance issues in H2 to be just awful.

My thoughts exactly. I didn't like the ever-popular "online combo" (Plasma lock-on pistol followed by SMG or other gun to one-hit kill), and the sword was atrocious. The IGN beta commentary sounds like there's no sword for the beta. I hope the matchmaking allows us to narrow down the games we jump into, but I don't know how functional it is for the beta.

As long as there is like an aiming cursor I will probably be alright. That is what gets me in gears. You are pretty much firing blind half the time hoping you hit them. I am getting better since we seem to play so often now, but there are still times that I put up an airball while shooting.

Oh, I stopped playing online - I played with you all a few times, but its just pointless because I'll play one game, have 0 kills, 1 assist, and like 2 revives, then against the exact same people with a different host - 7 kills, 8 assists, 4 revives. If you start a brand new game after saving your original game...it will ask you if you want to use the "original stats" or the "saved stats"....or something like that. Just choose the saved stats and your characters will start at whatever level they were in your last game.

I know you're only joking...but I don't drink...well....alcohol anyways. I'm too scared. Seriously...I know I have an addictive personality. It happens with everything. I'll get stuck on the same kind of food for weeks and eat the same thing day in and day out for lunch, until I find the next "new thing". For example, right now...I am stuck on "Stouffer's Panini" sandwiches and these microwavable "gyoza" (which is kinda like a wonton).

If I buy one thing....I have to have everyone of them ever made. I'm a completist about everything...not just figures. It's just the way I am. In all seriousness....I have no idea what determines a good/bad connection. Distance, download speed, upload speed, wireless, router, firewall......who knows :confused: All I do know is that on my tv screen I'm always at least 1-2 seconds behind...and thats on a good night...even with you (who are closest to me) hosting. It's weird to shoot someone with the boomshot and it seems like I hit them point blank on my TV...then in the lobby they say...man...that shot was like 10 feet behind me. Or trying to use the chainsaw...and not being able to move forward anymore because I'm bumping into the guy I'm trying to chainsaw...and then they say I was at least 3 feet away from them when they shotgunned me to death. Who knows? I just ***** about it and then move on. Some rounds I'll end up with 0 kills....others I'll lead the team. Like last night when evilmonkeydude was hosting. Some maps were impossible because they were pretty much just shotgun fests while others I could stay at a distance.

Nope - marked copies of crackdown are still available - and I think most of the people here will tell you crackdown is an absolute BLAST, so the Halo beta is just icing on the cake.

I wouldn't recommend buying it just for the Beta, but if you like sandbox type games, Crackdown is one of the (if not the) best.

Playing Halo 2 for 3 hours a day, 3 straight days.
Signing up and making it in via the random selection.
Buying Crackdown.

honestly, Halo 2 was a big suckfest online, IMO. It should be fun to try the Beta since they got rid of the sword in it (1 hit kills with locked on auto-target in Halo 2), and there is apparently much better balance in weapons.

I've always just played Halo because 1 and 2's single player campaigns were good - Halo 1 may be in my top 5 single player games ever. 2's single player had a few too many frustrating moments, but it was still good.

That said, I'm more interested in the demo simply to see how it looks/handles - I'm more concerned with trying new equip out then actually competitively playing.

it doesnt bother me when you get the connect error message. what bothers me is when you get it playing annex, and no one can move, and yet the other team is still getting the annex points while everyone has to wait. :mad:

The old ones shouldn't take much longer then 10-15 hours a piece, and are wicked fun and have great stories (well, 1 moreso than 2).

The entire universe is really well developed and has a great canon to it. I highly recommend playing through 1 and 2, especially since you can pick em up for so cheap these days.

Aside from the cliffhanger ending, I wonder if part of the disappointment with Halo 2 was how high the bar was set with the original? The game just left me with a "wanting more" feeling. That being said, as much as I think the multiplayer was so unbalanced in Halo 2 (in direct contrast to the near-perfect MP in Halo), the matchmaking is far superior to any other Xbox Live game there is (Whether original Xbox or 360). The ability to fully create your own variations on any game mode is awesome.

they should e-mail you to keep you up to date on what your 360's status is. i remember getting a tracking number and checking its status everyday. so yes, they should give you a tracking number.

When they sent my (still defective) original 360 back, they did not tell me. The tracking number on the return label I got was updated regularly on the UPS site, but there was no indication they had already started shipping it back. I didn't know until I got the call from UPS stating a "package I needed to sign for" was being delivered the same day.

Dude, that perfectly describes how I felt for the month+ that I had to endure/deal with being without my original 360. The Costco thing was nice, but the ordeal to return it was a debacle. Believe me, when it does happen, it will piss you off. :mad: But, you seem to be ready to deal with it. :D

I use the 120GB HDD. Strangely enough in all of my infinite gaming there were only 2 gamesaves that I'd honestly regret losing. My Marvel Ultimate Alliance save and my Oblivion save. When I started playing MUA all of the character info was actually saved to my gamertag/achievements so I had all of the costumes, all of the comic books, all of the load screens, etc. Oblivion didn't fair as well as it was all gone but what can you do, I've beaten it to death and I'm done with it.

When it was all said and done I figured, why not just start fresh and give up all my old game saves. Worst case scenario is if I want to go back to a game that I haven't played in a while I get a ton of replayability back. When you think about it game saves aren't as important as they used to be unless your in the middle of a game. It's not like I need to have Gears of War beat so I can go back and play through certain levels....I'm completely done with that single player.

Matt, I bought it brand new for $20 at eb's. It has definitly been worth that. I never played the first one but this is a really fun game. Nice little twist to the SW's universe.
