You can get a used 512 mb card for $40 or there is another one thats $30 but I dont remember how much mem is on it. Also if you have a Game Stop EDGE card you can save another 10% off that $40. You can also trade in some game that you dont play anymore for a mem card.

Well there are two different endings in Bioshock. One if you save the little sisters and one if you harvest the little sisters.

No, seriously I can't decide. I just got the game and I've heard about these endings and although it's fun to kill everyone around you in video games, I've been hearing it's more worth your money/time to save them because of achievements/fun etc. I don't know, whats your take?

Seems like you hook up the cable to your current 360 than stick the other end into the hard drive connector of the new drive.

Ah no, the one that came with the Hard drive (which i assume is the one you have) is only for hard drive to hard drive, but there is another one you can purchase that you can save your Memory and saves to a PC, but that's only with a Memory card (as i further read more on it) So that things worthless without a memory card. The one you have, for some reason, is going for like $50 on ebay, and you can still get it free from Xbox.com, but i didn't purchase an Elite, and i'm not sure they would send it to me just cause.

Try attaching a bunch of the limpet charges to it. All you have to do is throw them towards the duck and they will stick like glue. Then drop it somewhere near a lot of cars and people. Detonate and laugh your head off. You won't believe the explosion 6-8 of those things make.

If I remember correctly, you have to have the telekinesis plasmid, and there should be a splicer hurling explosives, grab one of those then throw it at the doorway. I don't think you don't get the grenade launcher until after that.....

I'm renting Bioshock, and while it's fun, I'm glad I didn't buy it...like avsfan said, there's not much to do once you beat the game.

I haven't beat the game yet (not even close), but I won't be buying this game either way.
It's a shooter. They don't tend to offer much outside of the singleplayer experience, besides the multiplayer aspect. And for what it's worth, there is actually quite a lot to do in BioShock. If you take your time with the game it could take you over 30 hours to complete. It took me about a week to finish it and I was playing it for around 7 hours per day almost.

Also, I'd rather like to think that people don't just sit around and play through it in a matter of days. I like to think that most people have lives, jobs, and other responsibilities to tend to throughout the day. I like to think that games are a way of relieving the pressures of life and getting away for a bit.

Sure, back in highschool you could play games to your heart's content, but when you live in the real world, it's not all sugar and spice.

There are a bit more games out there with less replayability than BioShock, by far. And besides, you can't honestly tell me that people don't replay their games anymore? I replay the good ones every now and then...and BioShock is a good one.

I tried that, and i didn't like it, I got the game's pretty fast (they are in CA and i'm in AZ) but when i sent them back, it took nearly a week, which was lame. I think blockbuster has the same kind of deal, but if you dont like the game/movie you can return it to one of the stores, which is cool, haven't tried it yet though.

I personally think Bioshock is a purchase. It has at least 2 full playthroughs in it (harvest and save the little sisters). I know in 6 or 8 months I'll want to play this through again, too, but that's just how I am with shooters. I held onto COD2, Prey, Quake 4, R6Vegas and GOW for the same reason, they have infinite replay value to me, even if it is spread out.

I bounce between two faves depending on the map. On Vacant I like running straight MP5 w/ red dot sight. On Crash and Overgrown I tend to use the M4 Carbine more. I may try to get back to the M16.

I don't like the ACOG at all. It ironically sees less accurate than the red dot.

add my gt (Tat2XL) if you want to play sometime.

It's all about the SAW with red dot sight over here. I also have the perk that allows you to shoot through walls which makes it a deadly combination. Of course, it takes forever to load so I'm screwed if you don't die before I have to reload.

Thanks alot, I called the number and in just 3 - 5 days, I will get a fancy prepaid box in the mail, then 2 -4 weeks without my baby, and a week before Halo 3! :mad: I unplugged it tonight, hoping maybe I can get a little playing in between red lights. I was able to get back on a little bit ago, and beat Dig Dug, so I can play arcade games. Froze on me tonight in the middle of Bioshock, been freezing upon Madden 08, so I knew it was just a matter of time. At least I can take my hard drive to the bro in law's and play some Bioshock while I wait!

For Halo 2 the store i got it at was in a mall, all they did was had One Entrance open (the nearest to EB) and they had security "guarding" the line's past EB, so no one wandered off. It was also upstairs. It went off without a hitch. SO i'd assume they'd do the same, or something similar.

You need to clear your cache on the harddrive. I was having the same problem and this fix worked for me. Go to the System Guide blade and click on memory. Highlight the harddrive and press Y or yellow button on controller. Next press X, X, Left Bumper, Right Bumper, X, X. Not all at the same time but one after the other.

A screen will pop up and ask if you want to perform maintenance. Click yes and it should do the trick. This will delete all patches and upgrades for all your games, so next time you start up a game, there will most likely be a prompt for a game update. After you do this, you shouldn't get the update screen anymore unless one is newly released.

I broke down and got one because my corded one broke. They really do work great, nice and comfortable, and the newer ones have better reception. The problem? Battery life. Make sure to charge it after every gaming session, or you'll lose out.

I gave mine away when I sold my 360 to a friend so that I could get the new halo 3 360, so I might go out and get the halo 3 one.

I broke down and got one because my corded one broke. They really do work great, nice and comfortable, and the newer ones have better reception. The problem? Battery life. Make sure to charge it after every gaming session, or you'll lose out.

I gave mine away when I sold my 360 to a friend so that I could get the new halo 3 360, so I might go out and get the halo 3 one.

I find mine lasts about 3 gaming sessions. On the plus side it beeps when there's 30 minutes of battery life left.

You have a point, but i have money saved away for said HDTV's. But i'm waiting for the after thanksgiving sales or just any good sale coming up. If i'm going to buy an HDTV, it's going to be 45" or more. I was walking around Circuit city the other day, and was just in Awe of the 55" HDTV's. Maybe i wont get it that big, but pretty big.

If I were a Broncos fan...I'd be more worried then a Raiders or Bills fan. We know our teams suck. But you guys think Denver is a contender. If you need last minute heroics to pull out clutch wins against powerhouses such as the Raiders and Bills....I got news for ya.....you are not a contender.

I don't think we're a super bowl contender by any means, but I think we have a good shot at the west or a wildcard spot. Norv Turner is notoriously unsuccessful as a head coach. It's tough for the broncos to go far w/ a second year qb. But I am excited about the offense, but the run d and the lack of scoring is scary. We have three big games coming up, the Jags, Colts, and the Chargers. We'll see how they pan out. I'm hoping for 2 and 1, but that might be a pipe dream.

Did you know that there's a "play and charge" kit for your controllers?

Yeah, but I meant something to hook the wireless headset up to the controller, or another wireless usb cord so you can play and charge it at the same time. I was even able to hook it up to the wall and bring the cord all the way to my position on the couch, but you can't use it while it's charging.

I think he means the matchmaking... you constantly have to update rosters but the damn thing never saves. So, you're stuck waiting for the rosters to DL and update while the other guys waits and eventually leaves cause it takes too long.

I have 2 different friends who each own one.

I have a friend that has a 46" lcd Vizio and its pretty darn nice... and i think he got it for under $1500 1080p.

My other friend has a 42" lcd westinghouse 1080p that he got for around $1000 from bestbuy...

both are great and look great... either way you cant loose out.. just do some research before buying one...

Also when you do pickup one get your cables from www.monoprice.com dont bother with way over priced monster cables.

720p = 1080i

At 32"...or even 37"...there is no difference in picture between 1080i and 1080p. A 32" 720p is fine....spending on anything higher is nothing but a waste of your money. At 32"...concern yourself more with what kind of inputs come with the TV (the more HDMI inputs...the better)...and the contrast ratio (the higher the number:1.....the better).

Yeah, they're easy for the most part, but those easy ones only net you like 5-10 points. The skull achievements, and the metagame achievements look harder. I think there is one on the list that you have to use a skull or two to get (maybe the 50,000 metagame point one?).

Actually, they have been overselling the legendary, it's already sold out in the UK. If you preordered it, make sure to call your Gamestop or whatever and make sure you're getting it on launch. I did that, and thankfully my store is on their A-game.

If you're going for regular edition, you should be fine. Limited might be hit or miss, unless you're going to best buy or target or something. Legendary is gonna be really hard to find.

I pop in NHL 08 for a few routine games tonight and my 360 dies. No red lights of doom, I just lost picture and audio and after troubleshooting for the better half of three hours I gave up. Three days before Halo 3! Lame.

I went into my local EB yesterday to pay off my remaining balance for my tin (the Collector's), and my friend, who is the manager, showed us the stock. She apparently overbooked their reserves for the tin, but they've got plenty of stock left after pre-orders for the regular. I was shocked they actually got reserves up to fill their first wave for Legendary. I just can't see paying that much, but the $10 extra for the tin and bonus disc is nothing for me. I just wish my original Halo: CE had a tin, so there'd be some consistency on my shelf. :D

I got to experience NHL '08 online for the first time last night, and I must say, it's not the greatest (typical for EA, no?). The whole roster DL thing mentioned earlier in this thread is true---it always wants to DL the rosters. I had a few people give up on me while waiting, both as host and as participant. The shootouts are not the greatest, either, thanks to the choppiness. The biggest issue, though, was having 2 of my 7 SOs freeze. Damn crap!

The standard versus games played smoothly enough, so at least there's a little positive. I think maybe EA should ask Visual Concepts how to do sports games online, since 2K sports games have had online leagues & tourneys for some time. :D

The only good part was meeting up with a decent enough dude from the Midwest, although he's a Wild fan! :mad: :p

There are varying reports on game length, but that's because some people are idiots.

If you've played all the other games and are a hardcore Halo fan, and you play it on easy, you're gonna blow through it in like 6 hours. That's why Bungie recommends for those people to play on Heroic or Legendary. They're saying it's about 10 hours, maybe a bit more, if you play it at the right difficulty. Plus, with skulls, and co-op, and just the plain fact that it will be different every time you play it, there's a hell of a lot of replayability.

admittedly, I've never played Halo. I've also never said it was bad. I'm looking very forward to Halo 3 and hope it is an enjoyable experience. But I can't help but have my guard up when a game is THIS hyped and is getting into mainstream media. I mean, my wife is seriously expecting this game to make us dinner and rub our feet in the evenings now. Not to mention the stigma that is there regarding the online play. I haven't had any of those problems yet but I've heard ton of bad press on the possibility that there are bad copies of the game circulating. Only problem I've had is when I'm trying to play someone on Live and I'll have to download the roster before playing and it'll kick me off.

The current run of 360's are pretty safe. There were some reports of some manufactured in august getting red ringed, but I haven't heard anything since. If you want, you can wait till Christmas, but if you buy now, you'll be able to get a AAA game a month on into Spring, rather than having to buy several at once come Christmas and afterwards.

I'm a huge fan of co-op so you can count on me. I can't guarentee that I won't beat the game by 9/29 but I'm looking at probably playing through multiple times.

I currently have a problem of I had to change my name to sign up for Live so all my achievements are gone( no big whoop) but my other problem is that My Forza career is dead now since I dont want to start over with my Live account. Is there anyway to transfer my cars over to my Live account?

yea I traded in a few games to bring it down in price so it wasnt to bad... plus i did a freelance ad gig a few months ago and got about $200 for about 15 mins worth of work haha so I figured I would splurge on it... i usually never go for the special editions.

So it was 20 minutes till midnight and I figured...what the hell...I'll run down to my local Gamestop...with no reservation...and just pick one up.

LOL...I got there...and there was at least 200 people in line. They were calling ticket numbers. Seems they opened their register at 9:00...and allowed people to show their IDs and reservations and pay the full amount prior to 12:00...and then they gave them a ticket. So at 12:00...they were just calling tickets and handing the games out. That went for about 45 minutes. Then after the tickets were done. They took all the reservations....about another 75-100 people. The whole time...I just kept letting people go in front of me and had to repeatedly say..."I don't have a reservation". So it gets down to about the last 20 people....19 of which have reservations...and then me. Manager comes to the door and says..."OK...the rest of you all have reservations...go ahead in." I say..."I don't have one"...and shes "you're gonna have to wait...I don't think I have any spare copies".

The last of those twenty trickle out of the store with some of them left inside...and this one group that just came outside is like "hey man...you didn't get a copy"...."nope...no reservation". So they all start yelling and screaming through the doors for the manager to sell one to me. Then the people inside start to join in saying all kinds of crap....like...."he's been out there for hours"...and "he was the first in line"....none of which was true. Finally and reluctantly...the manager signals for the guy at the door to let me in.....and I was the very last person to buy a copy at this Gamestop...they locked the doors on my way out. I literally waited and watched about 250 to 300 people get their copy before me. But....I'm happy I did happen to get one without a reservation.

Alright...enough already...time to play :D

The worst part of every midnight release reared it's ugly head again tonight....every single person is line is such a ridiculous extreme of a stereotype that it's almost sickening. I can tell you right now if you go out to buy halo tonight this is what you will see....

1. The "Elitist" nerd - he's better then you because he knows what the most powerful card in Magic the Gathering is AND he's pretty decent at halo

2. The "I'm cool - just ask my car" nerd - these guys generally show up by driving about 70mph through the parking lot, then leave by peeling out. They are pretty tame in line, can't pick them out of a crowd if you were paid to, but you'll surely know who they are when they get in their car.

3. The "halo is my life - just look at my lawn chair" nerd - he's been waiting in line for 18 hours....you showed up 10 minutes ago....you'll both get home and play the game approximately 5 minutes apart from each other.

4. The "I'm clearly too cool to be here - but I might as well stay" nerd - this guy knows that videogames aren't cool, he knows he's a complete nerd for showing up to a store at midnight just pick up his copy but while he's in line he'll do everything in his power to show you why he's cool then you. Whether it be a ridiculously loud conversation about his last sexual exploit with a wait for it...a girl.....or how he can't believe he's standing outside and missing the end of the monday night football game....since he knows Vince Young, he played semi pro ball with him and went to the same college.

5. The "yo dawg, this ain't the suburbs - despite it actually being the suburbs" nerd - this kid will make you laugh for hours on end. He's a good 5 foot 4 inches tall...the ripe age of 16-17, he's got pants that him and his brother could likely fit into but don't let that look fool you...he's a stone cold killer....at least thats what he thinks

6. The "I'm a cool 10 year old" nerd - this kid is so psyched that he's actually out at midnight on a school night that theres nothing that he's not willing to try. He'll try to dip his small frame into a crease in the line thinking "no one will ever yell at me, I'm a big boy, I'm out at midnight" but as soon as someone calls him on cutting in line he's about 10 seconds away from crying in terror.

7. The "I'm weird in high school so I'm going to try to live up to my reputation at gamestop" nerd - this is one of the most annoying types of nerds....they are loud, obnoxious, generally running all over the parking lot doing ******ed things, and heaven forbid theres a shopping cart around because that will be their toy for the next hour. The coolest of this group of complete misfits generally brings his girlfriend....his girlfriend looks like a cave troll, but no one let him in on the secret

8. The "I'm the coolest kid in high school" nerd - this guy comes with 15 other friends....ONE of them buys halo. But hey you're young, it's a school night and your mom gave you permission to stay out till the ripe hour of 12:30, he's bringing everyone he knows along.

Overall every single one of these people showed up to Halo and then some. Standing in line and listening and having to watch all of the above people is one of the most dreadful experiences you can live through.
