live is a service to play other gamers on line the xbox needs a wireless network adaptor to go wireless and the add on hd dvd is the only way to go

i thought the flood ship would give me trouble but i actually got through it pretty easy
it's actually easier if you take out all the flood than running past them

You actually wouldn't get 20 gigs....I think the free space on the 20 gigs is around 13 gigs right out of the box. But still......13 gigs is plenty for game saves. It's only when you want to start storing movings, videos, demos, etc that your memory starts getting taken up. "Game Saves" are very minimal.

Resident Evil 5 isn't coming out for a looooooooooooooooong time. If that's one of the main reasons you want the system, you should wait. The only Resident Evil coming out anytime soon is the one for Nintendo Wii.

Pretty sure I'm getting one for my birthday in November from my wife, she asked which version I want. Since I want HDMI and the Premium is cheaper than the Elite I figured I'd save her some money. PS3 is over-priced. I know about the RROD but I'll probably take my chances and hope for the best.

PS3 will have a $400 version before Christmas so price shouldn't be an issue. Just buy what you want and be happy. You'll have plenty of time to save up for other systems while you wait for Resident Evil:p .

Is it that obvious? I didn't think I was doing that, but you are correct in that I don't need to play H3 anymore. I think I've seen as much as I need to see at this point. I'm glad that everyone else enjoys it though!

I wish. I just cant get into Halo. I tried, and I just get blasted before I can do anything. I like the co-op, I just dont seem to pick up the learning curve on the multiplayer.

You're sounding like a poor sport or something..I do blitz, but if I play 3-deep like I do sometimes, you run the ball for 10 yards..So I should just sit back and let you run on me? Come on.

On offense, I dont even run the WR screen that much anymore, because I know you get mad when I do..I do run the RB screen sometimes, but I also run short routes passing, and sometimes they turn into big gains..You should have told me you didn't like what I did, instead of saying it on here, and making me look like a "cheeser" or something.

See this is why I don't play Madden online except for a couple local buddies. I'd be so outmatched it isn't funny. I haven't a freakin clue what you two are even going on about. I choose "Ask Madden" and run that play. That's it. That's my entire game strategy in a nutshell. :D

I use the run n gun playboook..That works for me..

On defense I choose the 4-6..But I change it up sometimes.

I call more than 4 damn plays..You're making it seem like you're bitter or a soar loser..You beat me sometimes, sometimes I beat you..We usually play close games..And the games are usually decided by either you missing tackles, or missing a throw here or there, or by special teams(which im better than you at)..When you beat me, I dont come on here complaining like you are, because you throw a TD bomb to Calvin Johnson or Roy Williams..You throw the same deep pass every game that always seems to work, but I dont complain..I cant believe you're complaing right now, like the way you are..If you have a problem with the plays I call, just let me know and I wont run them as often.

Im still waiting for my data migration kit to transfer my data from my premium 20gb hard drive to the elite 120gb hard drive. Ive been waiting for 6 weeks or so now, and have rung support once a week for the last 3 weeks.

I just got off the phone.....again. After complaining a little...ok....alot, she said they are making another order for me and that....yet again...it will be here within 12-14 days. But of course...now theres a postal strike on (goes from bad to worse), so it will be at least the end of next week for any chance of it arriving now.

I cant believe the woman I spoke to. She didnt say anything for a while, complete silence...as she was typing away on her keyboard....so I said "Are you still there?", and she said..."Yes...eh...how are you finding Halo 3?". Ahhh soooo. I finally got to 70xp yesterday and i was above level 10, so I was able to get that achievement.

You get mad alot..You stop talking or you just give up, like that 1 time we played, and I had a lead and you said you weren't even holding on to the controller anymore, because you knew the game was over..And you still had a chance..We both talk trash, I didn't know you didn't like it..I usually dont talk as much as I do with you, because I thought you were fine with it..And dont act like you dont talk trash, because what do you always say about Ernie Simms? Well work prevents me from joining, the skulls are actually not that hard to get IMO, except for one, where u need to place a gravity lift in the right place, but rest are easy to get to by yourself and easist of course on Normal. I would like to get a Co-Op on legendary one day though, and get the marathon man acheivment out the way as well.

The cowbell skull is actually relatively easy. As long as you have backup grav lifts, you're pretty much set.

The hardest one to get is the IWHBYD skull...technically. If the info hadn't been leaked, there'd be hardly anyone with that skull.

If I didn't have a guide it would have taken me hundreds of play throughs to find all of them.

I found all the cog tags except one with no help. I found two skulls in Halo 3 with no help during my second run through the campaign.

However, after beating a few levels on Legendary, I decided to start over and try and find the skulls. Most of them I looked up, because they are pretty damn hidden. The fact that you can hardly see them until you are right on top of them doesn't help much either.

Bungie did a great job at hiding them. I was clever enough to find two of them myself, but just couldn't find the others.



Well, maybe I'll head out early or something. Who knows. Either way, I'll definitely be on some Halo tomorrow...at some point.

I also found out that all you have to do is hit a skill of 10 to unlock the officer ranks. Even if you currently arent a skill of 10 you can still become an officer.

Funny, I don't remember PS2 doing advanced pixel shader techniques. TF2 looks stunning, and Half-Life 2/Ep1/Ep2/Portal are all impressive in their own right.

I use gamerang.com. It is 14.95 a month for 1 game at a time. The turn around from sending it back and getting a new one seems to be an avg of 7 days. Well, Half Life 2 is game of the year quality, so that's x1.

Team Fortress 2, by all accounts, is the best multiplayer game of the year, so thats 2.

Episode 1 and 2 combined are about 1 game, and of the same quality of Half Life 2, so that's 3.

Portal is the only wild card left, and it may be the best quality puzzle game of the last 5 years, so...

I did stretch it a little. It is, at the very least, 3 games of the year in 1 box, and maybe 4, but definitely not 5.

HL2 graphics are pretty much on par with 360 games right now... HL2 on a high end PC will blow away any 360 game. Which is hopefully close to what we'll get with Orange Box, but the lack of HDR + AA on the 360 really pisses me off. If you're judging based on HL2 on the original xbox, don't, it's trash.

The first pic is trash, and for all we know is from the xbox version. TF2 is meant to look pixar-ish, and it looks quite good at high resolution.

I'm basing it off a game I played several times, and still play from time to time. Not some random screenshot. ;) The character detail and animation in that game is still actually some of the best you will find.

Because backwards compatible games are not fully backwards compatible, they run on a emulator that fundamentally isn't all that different from a NES emulator you could run on your PC. This is why you lose all dashboard functions (music, friends lists, etc.) when playing an old game. Your entire 360 is acting like an old xbox to allow it to run. They also wouldn't be able to use achievements running the game in this fashion.

The only time I have bad games is when I am playing people that are only ranked low on that game type but when you look at there service record and have a highest skill of like the 30s. Oh and on Construct. I just hate that map damn elevator campers.

Oh there are more examples of your awesomeness like the time you had the splatter spree killing 5 guys in the first few seconds of the round. Then only finish the entire round with 9 kills.

I'm not sure if you kids want me that bad - i''m pretty streaky myself. :) I'm trying to work that K/D Ratio to keep it positive too. Just depends on the map and how we're played. I still hate the narrows even though I figured out the strategy. I still suck at it :)

I just threw my controller at my son. we were playing deathmatch with my son and my younger brother, and he decided to "tee-bug" me. pissed me off. thats the same kind of **** you can expect on halo online. THATS why i hate that game. I know its on alot of FPS, but halo is the worst

It is utterly ******ed is what it is. I havent had it used on me yet, but it is still really dumb and immature. I guess that is the think with Live though people can hide behind their tvs and think they are the coolest shiznit doing crap like that.

Yeah I wish that they would kind of take the avg of the players and not just the highest one. Also I wish there was just one skill number for all game styles. I mean it is ******ed to be playing team objective against people that have skill levels of like 6 but when you look at their service record they have a highest skill of like 35 or 47.

Yeah sometimes I try to play with my friends who are 10 and 11. It can match us up with a team of one 30ish and then 2 people anywhere from 10-30. It sucks because even when they're a 10 they still play like they're a 30. I don't mind going down lvl either, but none of us have a good time when we just get stomped game after game. Too bad I can't just be lvl 1 again.

Really looking forward to Call of Duty 4 for the multiplayer, it looks like it will have everything I loved about Battlefield 2 PC plus a whole lot more.

Mass Effect looks really good but I'm never sure about Bioware games, I was really addicted to KOTOR but some of their older stuff on PC is really boring to me. It definitely looks to have a ton of potential.

MGS4 of course I can't wait to play, hopefully it will be out in 2008, and hopefully I'll get my hands on a PS3 by then.

UT3 looks awesome as well but I still haven't decided to get the PC version or wait for the 360 version.
