Just so you guys know, if you hadn't already, i was working at Best buy last night and we put up some Xplorer guitars (stand alones) without the games, which i thought was cool, i didn't know they had put them out without the game's already, i don't think it was wireless though. But keep that in mind if you are in need of a second guitar. :)

Yeah not quite. Bioshock holds nothing to Goldeneye, Most Zelda games, plus quite a few others.

Rock Band is 10 times better that GH3. So far the songs are great, the Drums are fantastic. I highly recommend the bundle, you can go through the game at least 4 times if you play each instrument. Very high replay value, and the game play itself is smooth and fun.

While Neversoft tried to take the GH franchise that Harmonix left behind in the "must go insane" difficulty direction, Harmonix has brought the music game genre back to where Karaoke Revolution, GH, and its other music games were before---FUN. It's a fantastic game, and the combo of my brother, wife, his girlfriend, and myself are having a blast. Sadly, though, my downstrum on the Fender Strat guitar is already malfunctioning, and it appears it is not a problem that's infrequent:

The wife picked up the Rock Band bundle for me on the way home from work tonight - just an awesome game! We'll be up all night playing for sure. It really is so much deeper than the GH series, doesn't even compare. I really like singing, I rock! No problems at all yet with the hardware either *knocks wood*

This is the only negative thing so far with the game. The "malfunction" thread on their official forums is now up to 21 pages. Yikes!! Someone took their controller apart and says it's cheap glue holding the strum part together with the guitar. There is a tip on how to manually fix, but to Hell with risking that.

in the gameinformer magazine that was delivered the other day...they had a "crazy x-mas gifts" section...in it was this badazz real guitar...that had been gutted and fitted with GH strummer/buttons/etc.....they retail for $399.....but they are badazz......they come with artwork on the guitar as well....from all kinds of different bands...from metallica to pantera to kiss to aerosmith....they also had all kinds of other cool shlt...but I can't remember any of it...doh!

I cant complain too much. As I think I told you I got to see 360 in is fullness on HD for the first time. Mass Effect is just beautiful. Plus I would be playing Mass Effect if I was on Live anyway so it wouldnt really matter.

As we had talked about the last time, it's great and all, but the games don't get any more or less fun because they're in 720p or 1080i. Mass Effect's graphics are just icing on the cake, not the central fun thing.

Nice pickup on the headset...my wife got me the Nintendo DS Zelda Bundle this morning...never had a DS before...it's so much fun. Phantom Hourglass is great so far...hard to go wrong with a Zelda game. Went to 5 stores but finally found a copy of CONTRA 4. If you have a DS or have been thinking about getting one, go do it. This is Contra how it is meant to be...The formula is intact! They even have a history of Contra videogames over the past 20 years. Pretty cool.

Naturally, the buy and sell new & used games & accessories, and give you store credit on trades. The games are also cheaper ($58.99 for PS3/360), $48.99 (Wii), etcetera, and are generous with store credit values.

My wife and I bought the rights to open 3 franchises back in August, and recently closed a deal to develop the Austin, TX territory (3.29 million people from Hunstville to College Station, Austin, Abilene, Waco, Temple, all the way down to Victoria). We don't just jump into something blind. Months of research led us to this point. This is huge. Play N Trade is about to explode!

Really good so far. The kids beg to play it everyday.

So far there hasn't be a lot of repeat question, but I imagine that will come with more play. There's also a nice cross-section of movies new and old.

We've run into 2 glitches so far that has forced us to end the game... hopefully they patch that pretty soon.

Make sure you put the IR receiver in a decent spot as well... it's frustrating to miss a question because the controller has no line of sight. :(

To those thinking about kane and lynch don't. If you really want to play it rent it. Decent

story it gets flat, and in the end you really just want it to be over. I beat the game in about 6 hrs on the

hardest setting, which i am pretty sure only meant i got one adrenaline shot. The A.I in the game was

frusterating at times. The boss battles weren't that great and the aimming in the game reminded me of

Saints Row. I haven't played the online yet and that was the one part of the game that I read about that

kind of interested me. I'll give it a shot tonight but as of right now I would give the game a 5/10

With my Xbox being out of order for 3-4 i realized that I spend alot less time enjoying games like I used to spend with my ps2, nowadays its hopping from one game to another. I think when I get my console back Im gonna slow it down with games.

That's great that you had a good time...the tournaments are a lot of fun. You should at least go see one and how it works, and watching other people play is pretty cool. Once you see a PNT store, it's hard to go anywhere else :)

I think my time with Call of Duty 4 is just about over. It was fun while it lasted, but it just didn't have that feeling that kept me playing Gears of War forever. Maybe because we haven't had very many boardie games. I still need to beat the singleplayer (probably in the next 2 days), but I can't see myself getting to level 55 or ever touching Prestige mode.

On the plus side, I lead my friend's list in wins:D..........and losses:(.

Yup, I'm about done with COD4 also. I probably wont get rid of it since it's such a pretty game (graphics) and I have to wait to see it on HDTV when I get one. But Assassins Creed is on my next to buy list. :D

It's not really that bad. You'll have to do it over and over again till you finally get it but veteran is not that bad if you duck for cover a lot:rolleyes:. I beat the game on normal in 2 days and veteran is just going to take me twice as long but not long enough for me.

I haven't even tried multi-player yet on COD4. Knowing how bad people cheat on Halo3, I can just imagine how bad people are with snipers in this game.

So I am playing through Creed.... and I am getting less and less smitten as the game goes on. It sounds weird, I loved the game at first. But it gets old quick. It has very little stealth type play, and it is very repetitive. The control is ok, but basically it boils down to you holding the button down and pressing up to climb automatically, seems kinda weird. The save system also confuses me. I would recommend renting it first.

I just bought an Xbox 360 and I'm on the lookout for good games. And, though some of these might be old, here's a few I've played an enjoyed.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - They recently re-released it as the "Game of the Year" edition with all the expansions and updates included. Well worth a playthrough.

Prey- A game that's been in development since 1995 that finally saw the light of day last year. It wasn't a ground-breaking shooter, by any means. It had some stupid A.I., throw-away plot, painfully easy difficulty, and some bad dialogue, but it nevertheless had some unique gameplay, cool physics, solid graphics, good puzzles, and was generally fun. Worth a rental at least.

Gears of War- yeah yeah, read someone else's review.

Did you get all the view points and save all the citizens and all that jazz?If not, reset the game, the game tend's to be glitchy and it might have just done that, but just double check all those little missions, or just leave and come back, sometimes that might help.

all view points hit and all citizens saved but there is still one bar that is not filled-in, says Information, then the next bar is Assassination. So the information has to come from the guy at the Bureau but nada. I've even left town and came back in and still nada.


Either way I'm getting sick of this game quick. Yeah it looks good but how much repetitive climbing, saving people and button mashing to kill soldiers can a person take in one game:rolleyes:. I should just trade it in and get a game that has long game play but not so damn repetitive.

never mind guys, I finally got it to work. I guess after I beat the first half of memory block 3 I never went back to talk to the grandmaster. I pretty much finished the whole second half of block 3 till that dill weed at the Bureau in Jerusalem wouldn't give me no information:rolleyes:. But yeah, finally got the info out of the guy and then I went to kill the slave trader easy.


BTW - I still have my Gears but I sucked at the multi-player. I don't know why but everyone kept killing the **** out of me. I'll stick to Halo3 since I got a chance on that game. :o:D

I also just recently beat Assassins Creed today, i must say the overal gameplay of the game was pretty repetetive and semi-boring, i only say semi because i'm easily amused. But doing the same thing over and over can get annoying. Overall i give the game a 7.5/10, the graphics were great, especially on an HDTV, the kills were awesome, and the character design was great too. My only gripe was that it had a few too many glitches in it, but hopefully if they decide to make a second one, they'll surpass the quality of this one, and the 2nd will be fantastic. I still need to go through and get all the flags and such, but i don't really see myself playing this through a second time, considering the first time took me long enough.

not sure any of those should be a first game purchase. Try something with a long replay value. Oblivion or Dead Rising. Bioshock, while great, is extremely short. Im not big on Halo3, and Assassins Creed, from what alot of people are saying, is very repetitive.

I have stopped playing it right now for the fact it gets old doing the same thing in each mission.

This game had a lot of hype, and i'll admit i fell into it as well, it was a great game, it had lot's of potential, but in the end it didn't really deliver, as far as story and gameplay goes. The story wasn't horrible, it just wasn't as in depth as some game's are. But like i said, hopefully they learn from their mistakes and the sequel (assuming there will be one) will be 10 time's better. Although i do like just running around on buildings and having guards just chase me for no reason, that's always fun. But then again, i like playing the GTA game's and not doing any of the missions and just running around. So if you don't mind that, and tedious missions, Assassins Creed is the game for you. I still love the character and the design though.

i'd opt for Bioshock, but if you are wanting to play online, Halo 3 is pretty cool for that, that or Call of Duty 4, and def gears.

It's really weird, I think Assassin's Creed is still great, even though it is repetitive, I just feel the story and environment and game design itself make up for the lack of missions. I'm getting slightly bored, but it's more me being ansy as I really want to settle down and do Mass Effect. I watched the opening cinematic tonight finally, even though I've had it for over a week now (Limited Edition), and wow, I can tell it's going to be special. I think I'll be putting 50+ hours into it, but I'd rather finish up Creed first.

I'm a fan of the GTA series, and solely because i can run around and do whatever i want, i still love running around in Creed and just having guards chase me and just having fun climbing random things, i think i did that for an hour or so once, it was fun having ton's of guards chase me. Dont' get me wrong, it's a cool game, it just fell short of all the hype.

yeah i wanted to finish up creed before i went deep into Mass Effect, but now that i have i'll just dive into Mass effect now, although i still want to go back and collect all the flags and stuff in AC but i'll have to do that another time.

Pretty much any HDMI cable will do you... don't bother spending extra with any 1.3a cables as the HDMI on the 360 is only version 1.2

For those of you who have Rock Band (RuutuFifteen, MPCanes), I know Ruutu at least also has been affected by the strum button issue. I filed my replacement claim Thanksgiving week, but I also got this email yesterday as an "apology" for the delay in replacing:

I actually went with the standard return option and haven't even received my guitar coffin yet. I tried the fix that was posted online and opened up the Strat. One of the contacts fell right apart when I touched it so I was worried that they might not honor the warranty since I opened it up. I want my replacement so bad, it's such a great controller!
I finished the drum muffling trick last night, so much better and probably 10x quieter now too. Total cost was $24.79 at Michael's, $15.99 for the stupid circle-cutter which was hard to figure out how to use. Can you tell which ones I did first before I figured out how to use it? ;)

So I finally got to play rock band tonite. We did world tour, i don't think we got very far by looking at the achievments and we played for damn near 3.5 hours.

I played guitar the whole time, and the dude playing drums played expert. that **** is crazy.

It was hella fun though. If you have friends nearby everyone should get together and pick this up cause it's soooooo much fun.

press the small white button on the controller, it is located to the right of LB button, and press the little white button ( to the right of memory unit B slot ) on the 360. This will sync your controller.

Got the Rock Band bundle over the weekend for my b-day.
Played it on solo guitar for a while. Had lots of fun. Then I went to set up the drums, plugged in the cable, now all of a sudden it won't read the game!!:eek: It says to clean the game w/a rag or something like that. I did take the dic out, and noticed there were some "wear" marks on the outer edge of the game, and it looks like the silver/metal, whatever u wanna call it, inside the disc looks warped so to speak? I tried my other games, and it worked just fine. Any ideas on what's going on? Never had this happen b4...and I'm pretty bummed. Spent all that $$$ and now I can't even play the damned thing.

Stick w/ the cheap cables unless you have run a super long distance, then you'll probably want to go the more expensive route.
