GH3 is wireless. It's also sold out everywhere I've looked for it.

So, I'm almost done with Assassin's Creed, and I don't know the ending yet.

I gotta say i'm happy with the game. Yeah, some of it gets kind of monotonous. The Investigations did get old, but the assassinations are pretty cool. The story line (so far) is pretty cool.

I've heard the ending sucks, and i've heard it many many times, so i'm ready for that. But Overall, so far i'd give this game atleast an 8.5.

i'll let ya know tommorow or the next day when i beat it if it holds up ;)

okay so I gave up on the PS2's FFXI collection 08, and opted for the 360 one instead now that my 360's back from it's little red ring of doom trip...but I'm having problems with this one as well, I can't get past the registration part of the game....when I get to the billing creadit card part I can't get past it....it says it takes debit, but won't take my card which is odd considering I'm using the same card for the xbox live gold..so I know it's not my card...any help?...I'm currently waiting for the phone line to be up so I can call and complain.....anyone else have this kind of trouble when they first started off with their FFXI on the 360??

Gotta say, the ending wasn't as bad as everyone made it seem. I think it sets up pretty nicely for a sequel.

Overall i'll give it a 9.0 because I was pleasantly surprised that the ending wasn't the crap that everyone is complaining about. The gameplay was good (could have been better i guess) and the graphics were the ****.

Once this starts showing up used i'd pick it up. It's definetly one of the longer games i've finished and had a good story I thought.

If you dont have live. I would probably avoid COD4 and Halo 3. Both are only like 6 hour games. Oblivion could take over a hundred hours to beat if you get lost in the vastness of it.

Divx supports works. But I'm having problems trying to stream them with WMP11. All the files have rex X's on them and won't play.

If I copy them to a USB stick or DVD data disc they play flawlessly though.

I too just beat COD4....on Veteran level. But I cannot....even after trying literally 200 times.....beat the "extra" mission on Veteran. I cannot see how anyone can do it. I really hate when they make something in a game impossible to beat. You couldn't run all the way through that level in under the minute they give you.....let alone the 50 bad guys that they put in your way.

Other then that...I just dont see how. Even if they took all the bad guys out of the map...simply running to the end, sprinting the entire time would take like 40 seconds. Now throw in the fact they added like 35-40 bad guys who kill you with a single shot all throughout the plane....and the fact you need to reload at least twice while taking them out.....and it's just not feasible. Unless there's some sort of cheap way to doing it...or a cheat...or something.

hmmmm.....well......lets see

to start off....I always go the right (through the kitchen area) when coming out of the shower area.....not to the left and down the corridor.....that area is not that bad....as you make your way through the kitche.....keep going to the right.......once you move forward towards the back of the kitchen...5 guys will appear....a well timed grenade launch will kill them all........head to next little area...then i chuck a grenade behind the boxes right before the stairs....that usually kills all 3 or 4 guys hiding behind it

reach the stairs........equip the grenade launcher....sprint around the corner and fire a grenade at that first set of boxes where the two guys pop out from....sprint into the right side....knife that guy inbetween the boxes......sit on that corner of the coridor and pick off like 6 or 7 guys that come to that side....move up until you must go back to the middle corridor to advance to the next section

this part took me the longest....what a *****....best advice I can give....shoot them before they shoot you :D But what I found worked the best...was killing the guys that "pop" out first....and then sprinting up the middle section (the one that's blocked by boxes) and taking cover on the left side of the wall. You can kill all the guys down the hall this way. Then slowly back up facing one side...killing the guy down the hall....then repeat for the other side. Then pick which side you want to go down. Once you choose...your buddies will go to the other side. You will have about 6 more guys to kill...be fast on your trigger....or have a bunch of flash bangs ready.



Oh...and dont go slow.....cause if you get to a checkpoint with a low amount of time...you're screwed...and will have to stat all over again. I made that mistake my first time trying to get through it. I got to the part where you literally have to wait 30 seconds for the door to open......and i only had 25 seconds left :D Needless to say...i had to restart the entire level.

I've beaten the extra level on regular no problemo.......it's on Veteran...with a 60 second time limit that is friggin impossible.

I usually hit the stairs with like 20 seconds left....and that's no where near enough time

Finally finished Assassin's Creed.

A solid 8.5 that wanted to be a 9 or 10 so bad. It really did get repetitive, and not good repetive, after about the 6th mission.

Assassin's Creed 2, if and when it comes out, though, should be flat out incredible.

Also started Mass Effect tonight, and so far, wow, just wow.

Plus the in car camera is just amazing. It is like actually sitting in the car. I normally dont like the in car cameras because it is easier to see the turn ins from chase view, but I couldnt quit using the in car cam in this game. Although I couldnt drive the bikes from that view because I couldnt see a damn thing other than the bike itself.

It's ten hours actually, and that's if you even read most of the dialogue. Also, the game has been out for three weeks to the day.

But anyway, I can beat it at my leisure in about two days. So yeah...it's pretty much the only thing I've been doing besides classes and homework. :p

I dunno, it's just that fun. Haven't really done this with any games in a long while. Me likes it! :D

Honestly, I don't know I stay Gold, either, since I hardly ever play online at all. I've always been more about the single player experiences 1st, and most of my multiplayer I prefer to do via LAN. Regardless, though, if you do get a free month, or if you get a 12/13-month card, look me up when you're back on, and we'll do some score dueling (or the tug-of-war mode). :cool:

Fyi - EA has released patches for both NCAA Football 08 and Madden 08 that address some of the glaring gameplay issues in those games.
NCAA 08
Gameplay: Fumble Chance has been tuned to more realistic values and logic.
Fumbling has been tuned to occur during more realistic scenarios such as big hits and collisions.

Gameplay: Defense Secondary aggressive coverage has been addressed.
Defensive players AI has been better tuned for only certain percentile of defensive backs have the ability to make aggressive moves that are effective.

Gameplay: Pass Lead Tuning on Lob passes has been improved.
The user has the ability to lead receivers with lob passes now.

so pissed off...........I played the Airplane mission on COD4 on veteran last night like 100 times. I finally made it to the last part.

Now, during the normal campaign, when I got to this point, I instantly shot the terrorist once in the leg and that made him let go of the hostage and then I shot him like 4 more times to finish him off and complete the mission.

I tried this exact same thing when i finally made it after like 100 tries on veteran. After I shot him in the leg....it instantly came up as mission failed and said "Flesh wounds won't cut it on Veteran". Needless to say...I was pissed :D

i'm picking up the game this weekend for my xmas party. I would also like to know about that.

I know the board game version doesn't repeat very often, i play that version all the time. We also have the harry potter one and our neighbors have the Friends version.

I picked up oblivion and dead rising today. Dead rising I couldn't put down, but during obvlivion my controller was dieing and it pissed me off :(

Scene it is an awesome game. I don't think you have to worry about repeat questions either. After every round it saves what questions you answered and won't ask them again til it goes through all 10,000 or so different rounds. I definitly recommend it. The wife loves it and its a lot of fun.

I plan on buying practically all of those next year. Granted I'll still check out the general word on most of the games I don't have to have right away.

I really hope SW Force Unleashed is good, I'll definately pick that one up. As well as GoW2, Burnout and Frontlines.

Game Informer has a new exclusive every month, and I'd say 80% of the ones I've seen I'm interested in. Tiberium, in this months issue, looks pretty fantastic. But I'll play pretty much any crap FPS, as long as it isn't Hour of Victory. Worst game I've ever played, ever, by far.

i think you still have the problem of your guitar breaking but from what i hear EA is exchanging them for free. if your really that worried about it buy the GH2 controller it works fine. now if they can get the les paul GH 3 controller to work for rock band that would be great.

I wish Call of Duty had the stat tracking like Halo does. You know where you go bungie.net and find out how many kills you had, what weapons, who you killed the most etc.

Cuz last night I was playing Domination, I had 90 kills (45 deaths) on the tiny map with all the cargo containers. I gained 1400xp that round. I wish I had a way to prove it though.

I used:
Weapon: m16
Perk 1: Frag x3
Perk 2: Sonic Boom
Perk 3: Martyrdom

That map is mayhem, so much stuff going on everywhere, I love it. I chucked a grenade, boom 3 people die, start the UAV, kill 2 more, send the airstrike (got the carpet bomb achievement with 5 kills on it), that gave me an instant helicopter, launched that thing. Hid in a container to reload, see people trying to shoot the heli, kill them, heli gives me more kills, then another airstrike, then get another heli when my first one isn't even down yet. It kept repeating. Next closet person was 68 kills.

Last night I had to call up XBox support to find out where the hell my coffin is, two weeks later. Sounds like their system never generated the order to ship one out so now I have to wait for it to 'really' get here. Meantime, I'm towel-trickin' and I don't care - it works. I also had to write a nasty e-mail to EA's support for Rock Band to try and figure out where my replacement Strat is. They are 'magically' sending it out today after I *****ed about it - it's only been 27 days now, no biggie I guess :rolleyes::mad:

on a side note does anyone know how to take out the elephant's on sandtrap in halo. i made a forge map that encourages racing :D mario kart style but i can't seem to delete the elephants or even move there starting point.

Did anyone here not heed my warning and actually buy Two Worlds and not hate it? I'm bored out of my mind and usually around this time is when I dive into a huge RPG (like last year with Oblivion) but looking over whats out Two Worlds and Blue Dragon seem like the only choices at all. Neither of which really got that encouraging of reviews.

I was thinking maybe just maybe only the first 3 hours of Two Worlds sucks and then the story is so awesome that you overlook the subpar graphics, awful gameplay, and downright awful voice acting.

I know it sounds stupid but I hate Eternal Sonatas art style and characters. It seems like a stupid reason not to play a game but when I'm trying to save the world I don't want to be walking through the sugarplum forrest with a bunch of 8 year old kids as my party choices.

If the game had gotten better reviews (like the windwaker did) I would have been able to ignore the art style but 8.3-8.5 probably won't get the job done. Sometimes I wish my gaming habits could be more like oaktowns where I could just sit back and shoot things 7 days a week for 2 months straight. But I need a little variety.

It's 37.99 right now on amazon - I figured I wasn't going to risk it getting cheaper than that.

I've always liked strategy games, but I'm just so awful at them I get frustrated and instead of learning I quit after a few days. :)
