I worked for XBOX 360 at a call center and the Elites never had the trouble the other units had, and the bigger hard drive is worth it too

Elites have troubles as well.

Not as bad as the originals. They have better cooling, and are better held onto the motherboard (which is the reason for RROD most of the time).

I did have the DVD drive chop out on my a little on my first Elite, but that was fixed within a week. It had trouble reading discs from time to time.

If it's something you're going to sit down in one long session and play, don't bother with it as it's a very repetitive game. But if you only plan on playing 1 or 2 night a week then it may hold your interest longer.

You can get it pretty cheap now so it might be worth a buy at 10-15 bucks, but I wouldn't pay any more for it. At first glance, the game is amazingly beautiful, unique, and extremely fun.....but you then repeat the same 3 tasks for the entirety of the game and by the end the game becomes a chore to complete.

I actually got red mist and Cr0wnd today, JD.

Cr0wnd actually came as an absolute shock.

It was on the Death Toll campaign and she was sitting directly to the right of the ladder I had to climb up and I panicked.

I climbed up the damn ladder and there she was, surprising the hell out of me.

I whispered "Oh ****!!" and let off 2 rounds. The first round missed and the second dropped the *****.

Funny thing was, I kept walking and forgot about Cr0wnd and maybe like 5 seconds after, the achievement finally popped up.

Red mist pissed me off, though. For some odd reason, only 2 horde waves came and left me sitting at 994/1000, so I just did the rooftop finale again real fast and got the 6 kills I needed.

I'm also 1 shy of getting Pharm-assist and 6 shy of getting Field Medic.

man setting it up was taking awhile cause everytime I set up in the Safe room the Boomer was always coming at me and hitting me. Then Kskull gave me some tips and I got alot more. I am at like 13000 which really isnt alot. For Red Mist I only have 88 kills :(

Only about 18,000 of mine are "legit"....although technically they are all legit as the zombies were killed by me. It's just a shortcut. But only 10,000 more.

Its kind of the whole is boosting achievements legitimate or not argument. Some people say no, others dont care. I mean you are still doing what you need to do to get the achievement, but make it easier. It isnt like game saving where you get someone elses save file and open it up to unlock all the achievements.

That's what I thought. I know people can get other gamers save files for PS3 games, but figured it was pretty much impossible on 360, unless you give someone your profile info and let them play for you. I guess it would work that way.

There is a way to do it. If you see anyone with NHL2k games that has 1000 in their score, they hack the games to get the score. There was a glitched achievement in 2k7 and 2k8 for sure that only let you get like 975 or 980. Most of the people on the top of the achievement score charts are all game savers or whatever is done to do it.

YAY! Good for you for discovering what I think will prove to be the best 360 RPG ever produced (unless there is a sequel). Seriously, I NEVER play RPGs and I'm hooked on this game. Too Human sucks the most.

Mercs 2 is a fun game if you can get past the glitches.

Army of Two sucks if you don't have somebody to play co-op with.

Same here. Played through the game twice with a buddy (got it specifically for co-op, never even touched it in single player). Such a good game when you're equally skilled and really tuned into each other.

Agreed. Mercs 2 has some pretty plentiful achievements. I racked up quite a bit before I got tired of the game...$20 is about what it should have cost in the beginning. Blowing stuff up is fun, though:)

Race Pro- Career race at Macau with the F3000s is controller throwing difficult. That course is evil. Such a love/hate with it, if you get into "zen" mode, it's great, if not, you're pinballing off walls and your car is trashed.

Found out you can blow your engine too. You're completely dead in the water after that happens, can't even limp back to the pit to get it fixed/changed.

Best racing sim on the 360 by far.

Ebay search for MN-740 (http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37.l1313&satitle=mn-740&category0=)will pull up the old original Xbox wireless bridge. They're relatively cheap and they work well, as an added bonus they can be positioned for the best reception. It's straight plug and play, the 360 will automatically detect it. You do not need the driver disc.

I believe I was in Megaton when I got that broadcast. Check your Pip-Boy and see if maybe you got it and didn't notice? I was checking out the Fallout Wiki (http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_Wiki) (beware Spoilers) and it is possible to glitch your self out of being able to receive the broadcast if you are loading your game a lot (?) you'll have to mess around with it I guess. Good luck!

Hey speaking of racing games, what are the top ones on the system? I saw Wal-Mart had PGR4 for $10 and was thinking of going back to pick it up when I got off work.

Are there any racers that have similar physics to motorstorm?

PGR4 for 10 bucks is a steal. Great game. The handling is nicely between arcade and sim. Really nice in car views, it's got a lot of tracks, good range of cars and bikes, and the weather is excellent. That'll be implented in future racing sims. I still play quite a bit of PGR4. Nothing like racing an old beemer E30 in the pouring rain on the Ring.

Have you tried Dirt? That's a lot of fun as well. A bit more arcade handling than sim, but the in car views and damage modeling are really well done.

Grid is a great racer as well. More arcade, with Japanese drift events, muscle cars, demo derbys, and European touring car and LeMans racing. It's got the 24 hour of LeMans race and the full 2006 LeMans season with 3/4 of the licensed cars and drivers. Handles similar to Dirt (Codemasters did both), and the damage modeling is insane. Also has great in car views. Fun to race the Prototypes, first next gen game to have LMP1, 2 Courages, Lolas, Creations, and F3000s.

I haven't played much Motorstorm, so I wouldn't be a good judge, but these 3 are some of my favorite racers.

Forza 2, MotoGP, and Race Pro are the others, but those are pure sims.

I have tried the Grid and Dirt demos since they're on the PS3, also. I'm really up and down with racing games. I played project gotham and need for speed back on the original xbox and liked them. Since Motorstorm, and then Motorstorm 2 came out, though, they've basically ruined me on any other racing game. But I did go back and pick up PGR4 at Wal-Mart and hope to put that in tonight.

Also, Prime, just fyi I'm weakening on the wireless adapter - and xbox live gold - since Best Buy has that sale and I have a $5 reward zone coupon, I can at least get the thing new for 25% off.

Not familiar with ANY of them except Left 4 Dead.

I absolutely LOVE this game. I mean, yeah they can get a bit repetitive but the replay value is just so good.

Nothing in this game is exactly the same as the last time you played it and I love that.

There are guys on this thread who have already got the Zombie Genocidist achievement which is over 53,000 zombie kills.

To kill that many zombies and keep playing the game time after time, it's proof that the replay value is high.

I've only played L4D. As far as single player goes it's a rental. On Live it has replay value. FWIW my son loves Fable 2.

I need to test my internet connection to my 360... since I've got a new router, I'm not sure what kinds of speeds I'm getting.

yea. After no OT in the first two months, they told us today that saturday is mandatory OT ( I had volunteered for sunday already), and that for the next two weeks, expect to work 13 hour days, 7 days a week.

the overtime and doubletime will be nice.

$46 shipped... great deal ;) had a nice little gift card.

what sucks is im moving to a kick ass new apartment building tomorrow and I wont be able to get on Live until Tuesday.

My wife is going to kill me...

Orange Box, Gta lost and the damned, Rainbowsix vegas 2, mercs 2, street fighter 4, and now res 5 within the past few months... Joint bank accounts are a curse and a blessing sometimes.

I rented RE5 today, typically not my type of game. After L4D I'm giving it a chance, though. Have it for a week, but I plan to play Horde more than anything this weekend.

Well I got lucky and Gamestop took back all my used games I purchased over the last week, so I could rebuy them and take advantage of the B2G1 free deal. Ended up walking out with everything I went in with as well as Left 4 Dead and FEAR 2 at no extra charge.

I LOVED the F.E.A.R. 2 Demo, so I'm really excited to pop both of those games in tonight.

Same with me, the demo made me want to avoid the game. It looks great but not my type of gameplay.

Have all resident evil games stopped your forward momentum when you aim to shoot? Man was that annoying.
