So who all has RE5 now, and what are your thoughts. I am still up in the air about buying it. I loved RE4, but the Demo kind of turned me off to RE5.

I picked it up last night. I'm about midway through the 2nd chapter, and I like it. Kind of dissappointed that it hasn't changed much, in terms of the controls and how you move. Gears of War has spoiled me with its awesome mobility and being able to run and gun. Thats really my only gripe. Sheva (your partner in the game) doesn't bother me too much, and has come in quite handy with holding stuff in her inventory that I can't leave, but have no room for.

There is a dedicated USB port in the back of your 360 for that wireless adapter.

theres 2 more USB ports on the front of the 360 x.x under the power botton, just push the little oval door in that has the two bumps above it

I really like RE5 so far just wish the movement was a ilttle more fluid but that is how all Re games have been. The laser sighting on Redfields gun is pretty cool also. Some bad as s cutscenes and graphics.

The best one I've done is on the No Mercy rooftop finale when you can get one guy away from his 3 teammates and snag their asses up with a Smoker.

You can constrict him and pull him away before any of his buddies can get to help him and the horde can get his ass.

I live in FL but I'm from NY originally. I grew up an Islanders fan since my grandfather was a season ticket holder, but when I was 11 my grandfather took me to an Isles/Wings game and Bob Probert beat the hell out of Brad Dalgarno of the Isles and scored.

He became my favorite player so I followed him on the Wings. I started liking the Wings since I watched them on ESPN and ESPN2 and even when Probie left, I stayed a Wings fan.

I still love the Isles, though. They'll always be in my heart.

For those playing RE5, I can get you the egg achievment, and i can get you an unlimited (well, kinda, it's only limited by the amount of time we want to spend doing the glitch) amount of rotten eggs without me losing any. If you awnt i should be on in the morning around 11 or so, and then again tommorow nite aroudn 11:30, add me with a message of spawn eggs.

It's really easy, and amounts to 45 rottens at a time, which are worth 2k when sold. I had 190 earlier tonite, but sold a bunch to upgrade my weapons, and still have 60+ sitting in my inventory, plus atleast 1 of each of the other types.

You can also do this glitch with ammo, first aid, stuff like that. Not guns or treasures though.

Hurry up and add me before they fix it :) Or Here's what you do.

Person Recieving Eggs - Start a game, empty what you are going to take into the game. Then, from the inventory control screen, invite your friend that is giving you eggs.

Person Giving eggs - Add what you want to throw your buddys way into your carryin into game inventory ( in this case 45 eggs, 40 eggs and some handgun ammo, or whatever). Just make sure all spots are filled.

Start game, best place i've found is 2-1 cause your in a little room, nothing can get near you.

Person giving eggs, quit out, clickin save all the way out. Don't worry, you aren't losing your eggs. It's saving that you had them. As soon as your out, start makign a new one so your buddy can return the favor while you wait for him to get his stuff.

Person recieving eggs - Request all the stuff from Sheva, once you see your buddy has left the game. Once you have everything, hit start, then quit and then hit a (saving) till you are back to the menu. Accept your buddys invite and rinse and repeat.

When you do this, Chris gets new stuff rom Sheva, Sheva keeps her stuff when she quits out and saves. It basically doubles everything. This all started with my friend having 1 rotten (they drop in level 5-1 on). We've turned it into damn near 500 between the 6 of us goin back and forth. Took a while but i'm here to help my friends out :)

It's a glitch yeah. Maybe it's cheating. But how else are you going to get the near 1,000,000 needed to upgrade all your weapons, while keeping all your treasures for the achievments. It's gonna be damn hard :)

Like I said, if you want me to send you some eggs, including all 4 for the egg achiement jsut hit me with an add and i'll see what I can do tommorow nite or whenever we're both on. :)

Home theater computer here I come... we got rid of cable but upgraded to the highest speed internet... instead of paying $170 a month in cable and internet will only be spending $45!

Nice find on that Kleptos. I am on your friends list we will have to play some online. I didn't know you got a treasure achievement for keeping all of your treasures. I been selling all of mine to get money to upgrade. I made a huge error early in the game my inventory was full and there was something I wanted to pick up so I chose to drop a gun I just found thinknig I could pick it back up off the ground, but once you drop something it is gone for good lol :(. You live and learn lol.

Yup. Plug it into the bottom port of your controller, but you'll only hear voices if you either join a live game or join someone's party/they join yours after you start one.

did you recover your gamertag? if not then i don't think it will let you have your gamesaves. if you did recover your gamertag and it says game saves are corrupted then i think your screwed.

something like that happened to me with superman returns. i had to start over to find all the kittens after i found all of them i saved the file and loaded my old one up to see if the last 3 achivements would pop it didn't work and now it claims both files don't belong to me and won't let me save the game i can still open them but i can't save either of them

Why can I pop in Lego Star Wars and she can play with me in that game, but when I try to get her into an Uno game, we can't play together?

I think this might be the problem. Even at the title screen, there's only choices for single player, multiplayer (through Live) and partner play (through Live).

Nice find on that Kleptos. I am on your friends list we will have to play some online. I didn't know you got a treasure achievement for keeping all of your treasures. I been selling all of mine to get money to upgrade. I made a huge error early in the game my inventory was full and there was something I wanted to pick up so I chose to drop a gun I just found thinknig I could pick it back up off the ground, but once you drop something it is gone for good lol :(. You live and learn lol.

when you go to play game, then chapter select, it has the bsaa emblems.

Not really. The memory card wouldn't have enough memory to save all that. Even if you do get ringed though you could just remove the hard drive and put it onto another console.

Disappointment? It's the same Street Fighter that it's always been. The last boss is extremely cheap, but that's why you put it on very easy and beat it with everybody so you can unlock all of the characters. After that, you should be playing people you know or others online. Fighting against the computer will always suck. If you bought this for the achievements, then you definitely bought the wrong game.

Look on the bright side. At least Seth can't teleport in the middle of your combo like the last boss on Dead or Alive.

Fable 2 is a short game takes like 5 hours to beat. Side quests add a little bit more time but it's very easy. Wasn't worth the money I paid for it maybe 30 bucks.

I would say it is going to take as long as you want it to. If you just do the main quests, it is mad short. If you do all side quests, gargoyles, and silver keys, you probably could get 20ish hours. It is a fun rent, IMO. It is NOT an RPG, though. If you want a true Western RPG experience, stay with Morrowind or Oblivion.

If the side quests help build your character (like Oblivion) then I love doing them, but if they're just there to be there, I probably won't.

Sounds like I have enough with Lost Odyssey and Infinite Undiscovery that I can pass this one up until it's $17.99 used, which judging by how many copies there are at Gamestop, can't be that far off.

Fable 2 is a really fun game. If you do the side-quests and everything else the game easily takes 20 hours. I'm 8 hours in and I've only done 2 or 3 of the story quests. It's worth picking up, just not at full price.

nazi zombies became available to everyone with the recent update regardless of you beating the game or not, the new maps are very fun knee deep is my favorite of the 3, on each map every room and open area has atleast 3 different points of entry. making it a good keep on your guard no camping style of play.

As long as you have a receipt and its within their return policy time table, they should take it back. i did that with some used component cables for my PSP, that "didn't work" and got my money back.

The Red Ring of Death (every quadrant flashes except the upper right) is ghetto fixable, but not sure how long it will last. I'm sure it varies from unit to unit.

It's called a "towel trick".

There are different variations (heat up and cool down time) but the basis is the same. It's kept my xbox going for about 2 1/2 months now. Thankfully I broke down and bought a new one Saturday.

Anyways, you turn your xbox 360 on and the rings start flashing. Get a big towel and fold it in half. Put it on the xbox and make sure it is "sealed" all around to where no air will get in. The point of this is heat buildup.

Anyways, what's worked for me EVERY TIME, is you leave it on with the towel over it for almost EXACTLY 28 minutes, then take off the towel, turn off the unit then immediately turn it back on. Wallah. If the rings come on again, leave it on and put the towel back over it and try it again for about 5 minutes or so then try it again.

How it's worked for me is that I tried it and played it for a couple hours then turned it off. If I tried to turn it back too soon, like within an hour or so, it will trip the rings to come on therefore making me have to do the towel trick again. So how I did it, was try the towel trick then made it a point to only turn it on to play once a day for a couple hours. I would be able to turn it on without having to use the towel again for a couple weeks. So basically, after the towel trick, let's say the day AFTER you used the towel trick, if you turn it on and it comes on like it should, don't turn it off unless you don't plan on playing within the next couple hours, because like I said if you turn it off then right back on it will trip the red rings for some reason.


I have no idea why this works, but it does. I've heard different theories on this but the most common is the theory of connectivity problems due to solder cracking. So apparently this softens the solder with heat so it can "re-set" into place and everything will connect again, bla bla bla.

I'm not sure how long I would've been able to float my system but 2 1/2 months seems pretty good. I'd try for longer just out of curiosity, but I just got tired of being so careful with it.

Hell I'd even sell it $55 dlvd if someone wanted it. No guarantees though. The shipping process might "re-crack" the connections again. Who knows.

Anyways, hope that helps for those out there who don't have the cash to buy another new unit or the patience to wait a month for Microsoft to TRY to fix it.

MK vs DC isn't too bad - it's OK. I don't play it online, because I have enough button mashing to contend with when my wife picks up a controller and talks smack. We have fun playing it, though. Never was a MK fan, but I like DC Comics. Kind of a natural purchase for me.

Remember, only cheaters play using the Flash:D

How far are you? The difficulty really ramps up later in the career. The F3000 races can be brutal. Pro on Hard isn't really that bad for the most part. But Very Hard is pretty challenging.
The AI seems to race a bit better in Champioinships too. Online is still sometimes a mess- leaderboards are off, there's a speed glitch, games are dropped, but they're releasing a patch soon to fix all the issues.

I like the physics much better than forza personally.

Something like that kinda happened to me during the Black Cats level. After we land in the water and start taking fire and shooting out PT boats, you have to rescue the few prisoners. When I switched turrets for the final stretch of hte level, I died and EVERY TIME I started at that point, I would die, regardless of what I did or what I was doing. It was effin' IMPOSSIBLE, so I just started the level over. It wasn't bad though a I knocked out the searchlights and got the points for it.

I finally completed the game tonight!! The Reichstag was really difficult, but at lot of fun. The zombie level was A BLAST and really effin' creepy. I found myself pretty tense during the whole thing. I enjoyed it and plan to go back to it later.

I'm really tempted to buy CoD4 now; is it as good as 5? And are there any details emerging regarding CoD6? :)

i personally liked 4 better even though they are pretty much the same game two fronts the marines vs middle eastern terrorists the SAS vs Russian terrrorist. sniper level a ac-130 level and a really hard second to last mission at least for me...still haven't finished it on vet and a crazy final level. if your going to buy it get the Game of the Year edition comes with the maps. as for six just a bunch of online rumors about what perks are going to be

The GT classes are where it starts getting good.

You realize how good the GT, WTCC Extreme, and F3000 cars handle when you get offers for stand in races with the street stock Koenigseggs and Viper. Those races are damn tough, 6 laps on porto with a sloppy Koenig CCX. Have to break a half mile before the turns.

But the Stock Audi R8 handles really well. That car is a joy to drive.

Ok so I started playing RE:5 on veteran and pretty much made it by myself up to 6-3. I had to sell most of my stuff to get an rpg and defeat the guy with a muchine gun on 6-2. you should be able to just go to download history and download again or just redownload it from the market place it will recognize you already paid for it and ask if you want to download it again

I tried playing Horde last night with a buddy in the same city... I was bouncing all over the screen. :(

I thought maybe it was just the connection with my new router, but I was able to FINALLY play some online Halo Wars.

Got the new Guitar Hero: Metallica 2 days before they are supposed to go on sale :D

There is a store here in Toronto that always sells games 2-4 days in advance, so I picked it up. Let me just say so far is awesome, especially if you are a Metallica fan and are a fan of their influences (Motorhead, King Diamond, etc.).

Here's some advice for you and all the other "Orange Button Haters" :D :


The first thing to come to grips with is your grip. For one, keep it light; you might wanna clench up from anxiety but try to keep your fingers and wrist loose.

It's natural to place your index finger on the green button and that works well on medium (4 buttons, 4 fingers). But really, the only way you're gonna feel comfortable with pressing the orange button is to move your "default" starting position.

More often than not, you want your index finger to be placed on the red button and your pinkie finger on the dangerous orange button. This is a really good mental way to center yourself on the guitar because you';ll be able to feel the middle button's ridge or nubs (if you're using the controller that came with the bundles) with your middle finger.

When you get a riff that "anchors" itself around the green button, just shift back. It's also easier to stretch back to reach the green button with your index finger than it is to stretch ahead to reach the orange button with your pinkie.

Try the main riff to Garbage's "I Think I'm Paranoid" to give that a shot.

Songs that use a lot of shifting power chords (2 button chords with a button in between, like green/yellow) are perfect benefactors of this technique.


Lastly, about your pinkie:

It's your least developed finger. What you need to remember is that just because your pinkie CAN reach a button doesn't always mean that it should. Power chords are a good example - some are better handled with your index & ring fingers, even though you could hit them with your pinkie.

Always try it with your pinkie. If it's just too awkward, then switch. On the other hand, chords that span 4 buttons, like green/blue & red/orange should almost always be played with your pinkie.

i've tried to "train" myself to start with index on red and always manage to make it to the green then i loose my place mentally in my head and it really screws me up thanks for the other tips though my grip is another issue i clench that thing like it's the last pastry in the building and i blame that for my wrist hurting after a few songs. that i have no idea how to get myself to stop doing

Gotta love the egg glitch in RE5. Not only have I been stocking up on eggs, but getting a bunch of ammo and first aid sprays as well. It seems to work on anything other than weapons. Although those might work as well if the other person has those in their inventory.

I am pretty sure it works for just about everything other than weapons. I now have like 28 first aid sprays, about 90 of every grenade round other than acid, over 1000 machine gun rounds, about 400 over other rounds and 200 magnum rounds. Also about 60 rotten eggs but I sold most of those.

That's part of the fun for me.

My entire life it's been "Oh, did you beat the game yet? You did? Oh cool ... what're you playing next?"

Now, I can beat the game but there's replay value for me.

It kind of justifies playing the same game 500 times - even if you have a blast in doing so.

Getting closer to completing my very first 360 game w/ 100% achievements - Lego Star Wars: TCS.

I think I pretty much have all the "completion" achievements (collecting all gold bricks, red bricks, mini kits,etc) remaining with a few easy ones thrown in there left.

When I'm done with that, I'll probably finish beating Marvel Ultimate Alliance, but for me the game does NOT justify a second run through to complete the achievements, so I'll fall short of 100%ing that game.

Ha, I never even bother trying to get full achievements in a game. There's always some damn impossible "Shoot 5 people in the face with one bullet", "Kill 1 million people", or "Play the game on every Tuesday for the entire year" achievement. The closest I've gotten is Bioshock and I'm at 850.

i thought marvel was a fun game but i do see your point on it being repetative i wish i would have made the first run through on hard cuz that one is worth 100 points but i'll run through it again some day with the hulk what pisses me off are secret achivements and MP achivements in games the developer should damn well know nobody is going to play online for example deadlist catch, turning point and ledgendary

to unlock those guys you just have to find the action figures for them the silver surfer i believe you have to completey level up every character or unlock all costumes for every character not sure which.
