I just returned Legends of Wrestlemania to the video store, so now I'll keep going through my backlog. I'm close to finishing Braid and am playing through hard mode in Marvel Ultimate Alliance: Gold Edition. Gladiator keeps taking my team out.

I want to pick up a points card so I can download Castle Crashers. I finally downloaded the demo and that was damn fun, even in single player. I need to find some regular friends on the Xbox Live service. I have one person and it was through Uno, lol.

to unlock those guys you just have to find the action figures for them the silver surfer i believe you have to completey level up every character or unlock all costumes for every character not sure which.

To unlock Silver Surfer, you need to collect all of the simulator discs and finish them with gold medals. Or you can use a code and unlock him from the start. It doesn't effect achievement points either.

It also really depends on the game for me.

Like I said, once I finish Marvel Ultimate Alliance, I'm not going to re-play it another 2 or 3 times just to unlock Black Panther or DD.

Weird I liked this game for PS2...ran through it 4 times!...I just used Ultimate Fury w/ Sniper and cloak to keep my guys alive the first time through, it was damn hard...kept Deadpool and Wolvie in to regen and usually Cap and Spidey on fourth spot...DDD is B.A. on that game...forget who you unlock on 360...I know Moon Knight:mad: and Colossus were on the Wii, which I don't have...funny can't remember PS2 either...

How did you not hear No Leaf Clover though? Radio stations around here KILLED that song when S&M came out because it was their first new song in a few years.

Ebay search for MN-740 (http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37.l1313&satitle=mn-740&category0=)will pull up the old original Xbox wireless bridge. They're relatively cheap and they work well, as an added bonus they can be positioned for the best reception. It's straight plug and play, the 360 will automatically detect it. You do not need the driver disc.

Yeah, I had beaten the campaign a few months ago and I was kind of pissed I had spent $60 on it, but I was really bored yesterday so I took it out to play some multiplayer...Now I'm at level 27 and I've clocked in about 4 hours of play time. :D

World at War is cheap thanks to the infinitely respawning enemies, and the stupid allies.
I think I liked COD 4 a little more, because while challenging, it never became cheap. I still can't get the damn Airplane level beat though. (on the hardest difficulty)

How easy is this thing to hook up?

Just plug it in and go. When you go into your network settings the 360 will see it as a "wireless bridge" and as long as your router is seeing it and giving it an address you're in like Flynn. I would suggest setting it up in what's called a "virtual DMZ" (Google is your pal) so that you get max performance.

So the wireless thing I buy plugs into the 360's USB port then go to settings and see if it picks up my 2Wire router and I enter the WEP Key and I'm done?

Rented Wanted: Weapons of Fate, Wheelman, & Legends of Wrestlemania over the weekend.

I beat Wanted on the middle difficulty - probably took about 6-7 hours for me, but I didn't play non-stop. Sat/Sun/Mon night.

Wanted is a cool game, but rent it. Really short, no multiplayer. Funny dialogue, too.

Definitely not a game for kids - one of the levels is called "Kill that Mother******!!!!!!!"


Wheelman is in between GTA & Saints Row. It's a bit arcade-y, but still is enjoyable. If I had to choose between GTA, SR, or Wheelman for this type of game, I'd choose Wheelman. On-foot combat is terrible, but I haven't had to do that yet - just have run a little bit - it's annoying. From what I played so far, I like it. Don't know if I'd buy it full price, but it's at least a good $40 game. I like the driving better in the game than GTA or SR, as well.

Legends of Wrestlemania was OK - I rented it so my wife could play a game that doesn't make her nauseas - it was fun to talk smack to each while using an announcer voice "RAKES THE EYES!" and "ATOMIC LEG DROP!" Oh yeah-almost forgot, "WOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"

I'd forgotten about 2/3 of those wrestler from the good ol' days.

I hope they put more heavy songs in there. Really could dowithout Korn (unless it's off their very first CD) or Slipknot (unless off their first CD) but more Lamb of God, Killswitch Engage and All That Remains will NEVER be a bad thing.

Get some In Flames and Opeth in there too and my fingers will need to be picked up off the floor and put in ice after the songs are done!

love korn's fist album but i'm a fan of everything except for the last cd they put out....WTH was that?

Eh they keep my attention for a few weeks and then they collect dust. I really only like to sing and play bass. As far as GH Metallica I wish they included Korn, and SOAD since they did tour together once. And Slipknot would be good to but I doubt they would be on GH Metallica. I still prefer how Rock Band has handled themselves with being able to add RB1 songs to RB2 and all the DLC while GH is just getting sad. I dont even think GH does DLC anymore does it?

Ever since they bought the GH franchise, and pushed Harmonix to the side, Activision has continued their "Sequel Mania" approach to gaming with it. Any reason they can use to milk the name, they'll do it. Their CEO, Bobby Kotick, said it himself when he kicked Ghostbusters to the curb----"Games have to have the potential to be exploited every year on every platform with clear sequel potential and have the potential to become $100 million franchises." Activision has become the very thing EA was hated on for---a sequel factory. The thing is, people burned EA in effigy, while they praise Activision? It is strange, indeed. :confused:

I had hoped Harmonix would stick to the DLC-only approach for their Rock Band "platform", and they have, for the most part. The Beatles game is a non-factor for me, anyways, as I agree with Hornz over Halos that while they have their place in musical history, their music does nothing for me, personally. I have a friend who gets pissed to hear that, but it is how I feel.

From my experience playing a ton of guitar hero, the heavy or hard metal songs are actually the least fun to play. I'll admit I don't know much about Metallica's songs, but I played the one that was on Guitar Hero 3 and it was such a pain in the ass. The songs are just tons of the same note over and over again, endless alt-strumming. Eh, whatever. Not my thing.

I know they're not ALL like that, but most of them for much of the songs are like that.

Guitar Hero World Tour is really disappointing in this regard, there's so much repetition in the notes it's almost a burden to play some of these. Guitar Hero Aerosmith was pretty good, though.

The really fun songs to play are ones like Jessica, Cliffs of Dover, etc...

I am pretty much using the L. Hawk fully upgraded and so far they all seem to go down in 1 hit. Although I only finished chapter 1. It is going to be a ***** once you get to the parts with the AKs and stuff.

The gore factor is a tad over the top, but all in all, Dead Space is a great game. This is one of those underrated games that didn't get the press it deserves. It goes back to my last post about the EA hate thing. Why is it EA continues to get hated on? I understand the Madden thing, but a lot of the non-Madden games EA is publishing are great.

It's been a bit since I played the campaign (all I play is the multiplayer with you guys now), so it has been a bit, but...Do you have the mortar strike somewhere in the level? Be sure to explore all houses with an "X", they usually have weapons and items in them.

To my knowledge you do but don't remember if I have it or not. There is a house I try to get into but there is a tank and 5 guys with RPG's camped out destroying me. When I get home I will try again, it can't be this difficult.

If you have the mortar strike, just rain Hell in the area. Houses, tanks, whatever. The mortar strike recharges between uses much faster than it does online. Good luck, man.

As I said, I believe it was that asteroid part that frustrated the hell out of me and I just gave up on the game. I might rent it again finish my run through on the hard setting or what ever it is called in that game. I dont hate any game just because a certain company made it. EA makes just as many good games as anyone else. I honestly dont even care who made a game as long as it is fun to play.

Anyone here have Call of Duty: World at War? If so how is it?

So, anybody else get in on the "Deal of the Week"? Alien Homonid HD is 400 points right now. Here's the deal. Why is that game so hard? One hit kills you? Ugh. I REALLY like the animation and it's fairly clever, but man is it a tough game to get through.

Try Castle Crashers if you haven't already. It's by the same company, so it has a delicious art style, and awesome gameplay. One of the Best 360 games out there IMO.

I think you mean modern setting for COD4. COD: World at War, is the newer game.

I really REALLY love this game. It's not for everybody as I think some folks are tired of the WWII setting, but the graphics are great and the missions are really damn intense. There is also a really great storyline as you're playing as two different people: a US marine and a Pvt in the Russian army. The levels are relatively long and diverse and you have lots of great weapons to chose from. PLUS! Your CO's are voiced by Gary Oldman and Keifer Sutherland!! There's something really great about Jack Bauer yelling orders at you and then commending you by saying 'out-****in' standing marine!" It's awesome.

I beat the game a few weeks ago, but i'm actually replaying it now on a harder skill level so I can get some more points and whatnot. It's making me hate the game a bit though as it's really damn hard on veteran (hardest level) lol Still, i'm pushing through it and I still enjoy it. Probably the best WWII game i've played, ever.

it's alright. basically mercs with slightly different rules. you have to unlock different characters with exchange points so if you don't have enough you basically have to pray for points cuz pistol vs machine gun means you lose. i suggest unlocking characters first by building up your exhange points.

I only have 100% on 2 games, NHL 07 and Lego Batman (and Castlevania:SOTN if you count that), and should soon have it on Legends of Wrestlemania. Also at 960/1000 on Dead Rising. I can't justify keeping my system on 14 straight hours for those infinity mode achievements. I'm not gonna go out of my way to get 100% on a game that isn't fun, and I hate those ridiculous multiplayer achievements (I'm looking at you GoW).

Bad Company is a pretty good game. The stages get a little repetitive as the building and enemy AI is the same. If you were a fan of the old game "Black", then go with Bad Company next. I've heard Bioshock is good too. I just finished up Dead Space but still need to go back and pick up the achievements I missed out on. I'm currently playing RE5, on the last stage of that. Can't wait to finish it so I can go through it again!

i guess i can see why you would get bored with Marvel UA but being a comic book fan i liked it actually was playing it all day yesterday. Crackdown i liked but the as you go on i'm sure you can guess the ending. basically if you can climb to where the crime boss is and kill him the bad guys go away. which made the game a little to easy. but i'm told if you play it on the hardest difficulty level it's not so easy.

as for other games to play i have all three of those you should get
1. Bioshock if you really want a good story with good gameplay
2. Battlefield BC if you want a fun blow **** up game missions are long so it should hold your attention for awhile and if your into online games
3. GH Metallica if your Metallica fan, it really isn't different from GHWT

So I can't have the volume up hardly at all and I have to talk low in the headphones and that makes my side of the conversation constantly break up and hard for anyone to hear.

If I play MP like on L4D, usually I'll have the headphones on so I can hear teammates but I maintain radio silence unless really necessary.

Does that make me suck? :o

Yup! I jumped into a public Left 4 Dead game and was killed by Hunters and Smokers constantly because no one gave a rat's ass to help me out.

I'd say into the mic "Hunter's got me, help out please?" and I'd get silence. 2 seconds after I died I would hear them talking again, so they obviously ignored me.

Then when I respawned, no one would get my ass out of the god damn room to let me play again.

Do they think that **** is funny or something? Ass puppets. I hate teenagers sometimes.

(matt yes) but yeah sunday wasn't good for me either my daughter was sick so i was just playing stuff i could walk away from in a hurry if i needed to. but i just happened on Bad Company when it came through on my gamefly i really didn't have any expectations for it but really was impressed with how big the levels and mp maps are

This week is no good for me until at least Thursday. I have a research paper due on Thursday so I will be working on that all week. So I cant really get into games that much until that is done. I already spent too much time tonight doing those stupid tutorials in Command and Conquer. I didnt think it was going to take 2 hours to do that.

i kept getting voted out of L4D matches. first time i played the online i didn't understand how to use the hunters (it took me awhile to realize i had to crouch before it would let me leap) so no one would tell me when i asked about it or i would get voted out. that and i don't like how unbalanced the special zombies and the survivors are.

the only time i got pissed off was the level with the chopper. i died and it kept spawning me right in front of the chopper i was getting so annoyed because i would get to where i thought i had cover to take the shot and then cover would be gone and i would be dead

I have to admit, it took me forever to beat the god damned tank too.

I tried popping it with like 10 frags, but it never died.

Finally, I had to get more ammo and picked up an enemy's weapons and saw he had some C4.

I was like "Lemme try that" and killed the tank one one stick of C4.

I wish you could set up Bad Company so you could just play with friends and stuff. They way it is you can pretty much only play with four other people in your squad. You might be able to get a few other people to join the game, but odds are some will be on the other team and stuff. There is pretty much no way to get a big group together.

Mike is unfortunately right. As many of you that are starting to come in on the game now, it's going to be tough to get us all together. The 4-man squad limit is going to be a real buzzkill. It will probably end up being a "first come, first squadded up" situation...Unfortunately. Every time I shoot a rocket at the *****, he just dodges it and now I'm all out of ammo.

Guh, it is not the worst game I've ever played.
The first 4 or 5 levels are fun. If you've played any game with cover based shooting that is what you're getting. The game is way too hard though. Had to trade it back to GameStop because it was pissing me off so much.

I ended up getting Peggle from the arcade and it is exactly the kind of game I was looking for.

I really think they should move towards how Netflix works where you pay a set price for a month.

I would almost ditch netflix if I could get a set price for movies and tv shows not to mention music videos(which i think is the dumbest thing anyone would pay for)

Wish I could be of help. It's been so long since I played the game that I forgot most of it. Hell, I never finished it now that I think about it. I kept getting disc read errors so I said the hell with it.

I finally got back into playing L4D online as it's been a while; had a pretty good time these last few nights and hope to jump on tonight if anybody cares to join.

I'm lookin' forward to the new content tomorrow although I don't do the versus at all (i'm all fo campaign) but i'm looking forward to any new levels they add for campaign, if any.

oh and I had to put down COD:WAW as I was beginning to HATE IT while trying to beat the game on vet for more points. lol ;)

and I know this isn't the place to mention/ask this, but has anybody else had SERIOUS trouble getting to the boards? It keeps timing me out and giving me PAGE CANNOT BE DISPLAYED messages.... any clue what's going on?
