The two best cartoons of the 90s (not counting The Simpsons) were X-Men and Batman: The Animated Series. Those two shows got me hooked on comics. I haven't seen the X-Men cartoon in years, but every episode of Batman is on DVD and that show has held up extremely well.

But, of them, I did see a load of Gargoyles, which was excellent, and heres a list of my own which I'm sure just repeats all thats been said

BUT there are two I can't remember the name of, one was about these like mountian climbing dudes and they had these cool backpacks which shot a kinda laser out of the top infront and to the back of them and became a cable they could slide along, twas cool. And secondly was one about these guys whos cars would transform into kinda sky baord things, maybe Sky racers or something (that's been mentioned), one bad guy was a walking frag grenade essentially, was very cool.

No, Star Blazers was on regular TV as well. Which was your favorite era? Gamalons or Comet Empire? Leader Deslock was my favorite bad guy. Smooth criminal yes he was. Funny how in most of the cartoons, I preferred the bad guys.

I know this is an old thread, and I know it's about 80s/90s stuff. And it's from 2001, but someone mentioned 'The Oblongs' since I searched and this came up.
Why not recycle? :D

I missed this completely when it originally aired for its 1-month America lifespan.

But I catch it on Adult Swim now and then and I really like it. Too bad they never got too many episodes out. It's nothing spectacular, but it is entertaining. Maybe it's the fact that it's 12:30 at night. I like the look of the art. And it's just silly and stupid enough to amuse. I might have to look for a cheap set somewhere.

Yeah, that's true to a point, although most of the cartoons i liked as a kid i still like today. Gargoyles was cool in the 90, it still holds it's own now. I'm finding something different in it, but it's still really good. I finished watching the show last month and it still rocks (except the last season, which was always crap).
